- Do you know how to fix a zipper which stuck on fabric? We’ve all been there-you’re about to run out the door, and the piece you planned on wearing has a zipper you just cannot get unstuck.
Being stuck in a winter jacket is the ultimate struggle - especially when you’re getting hot and bothered trying to remove it. The important thing to remember is not to panic and try to rip the zip open, as this can damage it further. Luckily, it's possible to un-stick zippers on coats with ease.

Thank you!! I wasn't really quite sure what I was supposed to do, but pulled the fabric in the direction shown a couple of times and it became free! I am now going to tack that area so the fabric doesn't get caught again!

Viewed many videos regarding stuck zippers and were not very helpful, however this video saved my purse. Had a stuck zipper on one of the large pockets of the purse. Thanks for sharing!

Great Help. Had similar issue and resolved by pulling the cloth our of the zipper slowly as mentioned in your video. The important thing is to tighten the zipper after untangling. Thanks.

At first, I was frustrated with this video because there wasn’t audio to clarify the recorded steps. But I kept watching it over and over, followed along with the video, and I finally got the zipper from my winter coat unstuck!!!! I’ve tried other videos and tips, but this one actually worked!!! And my fabric was deeply wedged into the zipper. I had already resigned that I would need to cut my coat, but I fixed it thanks to your video. Thanks for saving my coat!!

Great. Works for me. Although the strategy initially seems to me a bit difficult to understand from the video, the strategy works well. Thank you. Creators can add some captions in which directions the slider should be moved and in which direction the cloth should be moved.

Thank you , I managed to unstuck my zipper by the help of this video. I pulled the stuck fabric from bottom of the zipper (from backwards=unzipping direction) and moved zipper backwards. 👍

I had a book bag that had fabric stuck like this. It’s heavy canvas so the material is strong. I took a needle nose pliers and pulled the fabric out sideways. I couldnt do it without the pliers but with the pliers it came out quite easy.

This really worked for me on a three hundred dollar purse. I thought I would need to leather specialist to fix it. The zipper was at a odd angle and small area to work in but I just kept moving as directed. Thx.

Thanks for advising not to use a screw driver. It didn't work though. Apply cream on the zipper and move it up and down. Smoothly works!
