Well the LX 600 as you stated does not accelerate like a V8. I have found as with the LS the power delivery takes some getting used to. Mine actually shifts and drives best driven a little more aggressively. In my opinion the build quality is unsurpassed. There are comprommises with the 600, but I think Toyota/Lexus was correct to build it as they did. After 7 months with my 23 I love it. If you really use third row seating for adults, this is not your SUV. If you want the smoothest ride, wrong vehicle. With that said if you want the best build quality, this vehicle will satisfy. If you do not understand that some of the capabilities will result in some "shortcomings" then this is probably not your best choice. But 20 years from now, I think when you compare this to the Range Rover, Escalade, or Mercedes the truth will be told in the only real market determination, the numbers. How many are left, what do they bring, and how have they stood the test of time. I prefer to place my money, and my faith in Toyota or Lexus. They have earned my loyalty.
Good video untamed ,Ill be keeping my 2023 4Runner 40th forsure. I agree that simple and less tech is good-I thought about getting a 2024 tacoma pro but decided not to because they rid the simple v6 engine and put a lot more tech into the rig so long term reliability is unknown
My carbon copy 2023 LX600 F Sport was fun, but top 2 complaints were lack of legroom. Could never stretch my leg out & seats were too flat. And an incurable shuddering shivering ride that no matter how many road force balances Lexus did…and even “we’ll buy you a new brand of tires” it would never stop shaking. Glad I owned it…such a posh tank. But went back to an OG slow 2023 GX460 where I can fully stretch out, and spend less on, driving smoothly, for now. The lack of legroom is my same issue with the new GX550, I was glad to try out at Overland Expo. Odd differences in the new platform, but that turbo V6 does pull hard, mostly.
@@GXTOLX Agree. Gave up on the LX600 issues, traded it for a ‘23 GX that’s better but still dealing with nonstop vibrations waiting for Lexus to sipend better treads🤞🏼
@bigdlife86 u should of swapped out the wheels for 22x9s and put 285 45 22s tires. Problem solved. Wheels with proper offset are there but very limited choices. Gx handles better yes but looks weird from rear mostly its too narrow
Well it's a 97. Not triple locked but I can always put lockers. It's super clean and was well taken care of. It has 220k miles on it but that's nothing for a Landcruiser. No rust. I originally wanted Emerald green color but this black LC was to nice to pass.
Would you be able to do a comparison between the Lx 570 and your lx 600? I recently found out they killed the KDSS feature for the lx600 that was on the lx570.
We still have our LX570 and Landcruiser. The 5.7v8 is far better than this TTv6. Fat smoother to drive. We don’t like the turbo lag in this. I wish they made this vehicle with the 5.0 V8.
You’ll sell it soon as the new gx 550,comes out. You’re not a luxury type user. You want a Land Cruiser or 4runner type look and feel. All your buys from tundra to raptor are tough rides not luxury vehicles.. These are nice vehicles but not one you’d want to beat up over landing etc. more mall getters. Get the new gx asap or a new Land Cruiser and do it up.

I completely agree with 1&3. Not in a position to comment on #2. My opinion on 3 is the same as yours. Embarrassed to be judged by driving a Lexus which in turn sort of says i judge Lexus drivers. For that reason the new Land Cruiser, even with smaller engine and less seating capacity, might be more my cup of tea. Might. Still have to accept #1, no way around that (in Toyota/Lexus models).
Nice video! But how can you look over the worst front facia in the automotive world? Love everything about the Lexus except that enormous and ridiculous spindle grill. Its atrocious! The Ford Edsel design team must be relieved to no longer hold the record for the ugliest vehicle design in history.
As someone who’s looking to buy the lx600 , i couldn’t care less about pano roof or massage or even power running boards. I want a reliable good looking car that i can go anywhere on road & off road + i can sell it any day for nearly the same price i bought it for.

Not sure why they got ride of the split hatch. That was a tradition of the land cruiser. One of the biggest mistakes they did.

What octane are you using? You need 91 or 93 on a Lexus. If you aren´t try 93 for a couple of tanks.

Gx460 has vibration issues too on highway. It's not road force issue it's the tires..use softer tires. And lx should have 285 not 265 sized tires.

@@GXTOLX OEM $110k+ should not have shuddering vibration issues, and should not require a wheel & tire swap just to be livable. Lexus can do better…
Agreed. Lexus needs to pick better tires and wheels. Same problems with gx460 and almost guaranteed to be an issue on gx550

How about a 4.5 ltr v8 diesel. Only 1mpg more than 5.7 😅. Though I would say its one of the best land cruiser engines. It suits the car so well.
