I love tattoo machines, no mater how modern or fancy they get everyone needs a old school elastic band.
crackedoutclown not really. Inkmachines have a stabilisation wheel. All pen machines need no rubber bands and there arevquite some moremoptions without them. Anyway tattoo machines are beautiful i have to agree
I got the dragonhawk extreme 2 and one that looks like the one here and another one and 5 coil guns 7 in all they all work fine the rotory is so smooth its like drawing with a pin

Center of gravity depends on the grip. If you change the grip with another one it can start leaning either way. That is not really important, but since you make a point..
Of course it depends. This is the smallest adjustable grip. If you use bigger, he can pull it forward, not back, so that's not a problem (can't pull it down to because of the armrest) It is important if you tattooing in an upright position, if the machine is heavy, it can pull backward, which can cause finger or wrist pain after several hours of tattooing :-)
I'm with rotaries for some time and I'll never go back to coils mainly because they are heavy. After 5 (very often even more) hours of tattooing I really start to feel pain in my index finger.
The so called armrest (fingerrest) is just a constructional element. I don't think you made it intentionally. Pen machines have no fingerrests whatsoever and they are still comfortable.
I don't want to say your machine is not good. I bet it is and probably would love to use one since is light, noiseless and well balanced.
That extension on the back is made for a reason, it does not have to be there at all (it could have been just one screw). With the pen machine I miss a finger rest when I keep it upright (especially when I tattooing on someone's back, I hope you understand what I mean), since its lower part is much lighter than the part where motor is. And also on this machine is good that the give can be adjusted very easily., that is its main characteristic. You should try it :-) Otherwise, I use and make rotarys for 18 years (coils to).

Does it come with a charger or cord
Ive used a tattoo machine before on my friend and what i hate about it was that i cant even pass a line without it stopping getting snag on the skin. I don't know the term for that but i would prefer a machine that can perform a steady speed. I don't know much about tattoo guns but i draw a lot and trying to take the tattoo route. Any recommendations for a good starter machine? Something thats solid. Thanks✌️👍
