Fire Alarm Test #17

- čas přidán 24. 08. 2021
- This is a test of a Silent Knight 5208 system in a big school. The original panel was a Gamewell Zans 400. Most of the A/V’s are Wheelock 7002T-24 horn strobes. There are also a few System Sensor MASS-24M’s, as well as various spectralerts (Classic, Advance, & L-Series). Most pull stations are Fire-Lite BG-8’s and except for 2 System Sensor 2WT-B’s, all detectors are System Sensor 5600 Series heat detectors (around 130 in total). Only one 7002T was replaced due to it not having a functional strobe. It was replaced with a System Sensor L Series. I hope you enjoy!

Man my middle school used to have a mix of mechanical and electronic horns. Hearing the advanced and the 7002ts brought back memories
Hearing those 7002Ts bring back memories from my old elementary school. They didn’t have any system sensor devices. But they did use Gentex SHGs and GX90s and a few Wheelock appliances
what where the Wheelock alarms
@@WorcesterCountyEAS The other Wheelock devices were 2 ZRSs, 1 NS, 1 MT-24-LSM set to strobe only, and 1 Wheelock WMT-24 at the gym.
I had those in preschool and middle school
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHA
Been away from the community for a very long time and I never would’ve imagined you being a fire alarm tech!
i think there were faraday or rebranded multi tone horns in two classrooms one being blocked by something since you could only see the flash
this video was satisfying at first, but hearing the alarms at the end was a blast. Great video!
Alarms seen:
Wheelock 7002T-24
System Sensor P2R
System Sensor P2RL
Cerberus Pyrotronics MTL's set on Steady Horn
Pull Station:
Fire Lite BG-8's
Cool, came across this in my recommendations.
that first 7002t sounds insane
When was the 7002T Invented
1976
Mistake : the 7002 came out in 1976. The 7002t came out in 1984
My local safeway has a notifier bg 8 and a spectralert classic.
8:04 I love the tuning on that 7002t
There’s a pair of 7002t at a IKEA in Carson California
IMO this proves that the 7002T is louder than the Advance. When you go near a 7002T, you can barely hear the advances and you can hear 7002Ts very clearly while being next to an Advance
Simply cool() it’s like every power in the breakers
So boo testing cool
Really amazing system test
wow, a system that still uses 7002Ts in 2021, not something you come across everyday now.
Yeah I’ve inspected several systems that use them still. They are a really nice find!
Ah yes the famous fire alarms the 7002t
and where is the System Sensor Mass I am also guessing the mass also replaced a 7002T as well
The 2 System Sensor MASS24LO’s were in a hallways with classrooms. That would be my best guess. They probably replaced a couple 7002t’s in the 90’s
I'm trying to find this old video of these Adaptahorns going off in short chirps and at the end of the video there's a SpectrAlert Classic horn going off above a fire engine. Do you perhaps know where the video can be found? Idk who uploaded it but I used to watch it as a kid and want some good old fire alarm nostalgia.
I DO remember the guy in the video stating the horns didn't "sound too healthy".
That was a video uploaded by TwoPlyBoy a LONG time ago. That’s crazy that someone else remembers that video. It was unfortunately taken down due to the request of the location owner. That happened with a lot of his videos sadly.
@@a.r.aproductions1569 is it archived somewhere??
How come some Wheelock 7002t sound like it's on FWR, while the others are on Filtered DC?
Maybe volume screw problems?
We have 7002ts
A single gentex SHG
and ALOT of spectr alert classic
with one gentex commander
at my school
My favorite alarm is 8:03
Its because of how loud and powerful it is
@@tornadochasingsiege i had 7002t at my elementary school and when i went to middle school they went to the loudest alarms in there today
Didn't know that you can test a SS heat detector like that.
where is the System Sensor Specteralert Classic and which Wheelock 7002T got replaced
The classic was located in the cafeteria. The 7002T at the front entrance got replaced.
I am also guessing that the classic the Advance and the L series are replacing some 7002T's
Edit: I looked at The Fire Panel message board and it looks like the 5208 FACPs have poor filtering, if at all! Reportedly, they are "FWR".
That is completely false. All Silent Knight panels output filtered DC and have very good filtering. You should not trust the words of an amateur enthusiast versus a certified technician
Even if that was true, I know many people with 5208s saying they output FILTERED DC
@@a.r.aproductions1569 do u know why the wheelock 7002ts always skip when the strobes flash? I was gonna get one for my collection but not if they do that.
@@apronchaperon ah ok thanks
@@apronchaperonit doesn’t do it as the horn and strobe are wired in parallel as it uses AC
What program do you guys use for the barcodes and database?
He has some sort of barcode scanner. Idk exactly what it is for, but I think it is for him to keep track of the reports (like weather the pull station or heat/smoke detector works or not)
It's for alarm companies to pass or fail devices so they can keep track of it all in the end, if anything marks needs replaced, they can look it up in the logs as well as keep track
@@SDPP992 thanks! However I do know what they are for I just want to know the program they are using :)
They have MA/SS’s in my school along with est genesis’s
My kindergarten had 7002Ts
They should have put the ability to use a magnet to set off the heat detectors so you don't have to either take it off and short the wires or permanently activate them.
This is the best comment on my channel. I agree 100%!
Why were you scanning the pull stations with that device?
We scan devices when we test them. From there we can see all the info on the device and we can put down if it passed or not.
@@a.r.aproductions1569 that’s cool to use
@@a.r.aproductions1569 Those look like those generic horn strobes at the end, that were branded under both FCI, Cerberus, ESL. and i know that Gamewell is a division of FCI, now brought out by Honeywell, so maybe a connection to the old panel, i could be wrong although.
They're FCI Multi Tone Horn/Strobes, running on continuous horn.
I'd go to that school just for the fire drills
Hate those horns so loud at my old school
Judging by the barcodes, I'm assuming you work for ifp?
Nope
The bell test starts at 7:39
8:41 what bell is in there
I believe it was a Standard Electric Time 6 Inch bell. I’m not sure of the model
7:36 Erin Kearney! How dare you pull the fire alarm at Sassafras, that’s it! We’re going to special care in Connecticut
Time to sync the code 3 alarms. Lol
YEAH SOUND LIKE RIVER TO ME
powertronics alarms

Do you ain't going to never get no context if you don't look up or what you're doing with the camera show with your doing
And you ain't never gonna get no likes if yous can't uses proper Grammers or spellings
Bro it's for privacy reasons, I wouldn't want my building with my fire alarms all over the internet, think before you speak.
