Now if you are familiar with the brand, you probably already know that Salomon shoes are of excellent quality and are designed specifically for the outdoors in mind!
These Salomon Ultra 3 GTX Mid are no exception to that! Once you put these boots one, the first thing that amazes you is how ridiculously light these boots are! Now I know, we are looking for survival boots, so besides hiking boots, I also had military and tactical boots on the list... They were good, they were comfy... but when I tried to run in them... when I walked in them for a good 5 miles... It was tough.
With these Salomon X Ultra GTX (or Salomon Ultra 3 GTX...) I was able to run 3 miles, walk 5 miles... and did not feel a thing! In fact it was just as comfortable (if not more comfortable) to run in these boots as my running sneakers! Amazing!

Also, I am really looking forward to checking out Salomon GTX 4d, which have a higher ankle part.
So, are these the ultimate survival boots? Well, these are definitely the best hiking boots I have ever tried and if I was looking specifically for hiking boots, I would not look any further, because these Salomon boots are amazing!
We will be looking into more boots, however, to find that perfect survival pair of boots. Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX so far is definitely on the top of that list!

Just found a pair today that got shipped into the store this week from a forgotten storage facility or something like that. With everything going on these days it’s a good time to upgrade your boots before they are out of stock. They were out of most models in southern Maine.
I’ve got these last month in the same color i also have a second pair bought last year in a blue green color forget the name of those colors “I really really like them” not mocking you

I love these! I still have these and use them on more or less serious hikes, alternating them with my Columbia Newton Ridge. Honestly, to this day, if there was one best boot ever I had to chose... it would be these ones!

hi! there are two versions of this model available in India, one is a wide one. but no other diff nd description is available anywhere. can you please help me in deciding which one I should go with? wide one or normal one ....
Thanks for the video! I would say those two sets of metal hoops at the top are created that way on taller boots so that way it's much easier to loosen and flip out the tongue so you can easily take the boots on and off. I'm not sure if there's any other reason besides that.
These are standard issue for Calgary police tactical teams (swat) in our city... I guess if swat teams and special forces units trust it, it's a go...
