    Great tutorial. Good angle to see the stringing and great job with the voice over.

    I've been using this pattern on my 900 and i love it. From that point on I started stringing all wide at the bottom heads to the inside and it works great. I do top half standard and then shift the lower half with the 1s and 2s ti the inside. Bought some supercheap RP3 2 heads and made it work with hero and sk for some newer players.
    Thanks for the tutorial man, hope to get more stringings from you in the future, cheers.

    Thank you so much for showing how to string to the inside. For the inside knots you used, are they most similar in their utilization to SI's and 1's or are they more like some other knots?

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před 3 lety

      Very similar to SI's and 1's. Only difference is that stringing those SI's to the inside locks them down a little more than SI's do

    Best stringing to the inside video on CZcams. Camera angle is great to see what you’re actually doing. Any chance you can make a hammer omega tutorial? Or a stringing to the inside on the DNA tutorial?

    Another great vid. 2 things:
    What is that gimmick you’re using to hold the head? It looks lacrosse specific?
    And have you tried the ‘reverse’ stacked SI? Any thoughts on it?

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před 3 lety +1

      1. It's a Lax Vise, and it looks like lax.com still has them. I'd recommend the clamp version (mine is the vacuum version and doesn't work very well) which can be found here: www.lax.com/lacrosse-equipment/laxvise-clamp-edition/97423.html
      And I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the "reverse" SSI? Do you mean reversing the order of the diamonds? I've tried a few variations of the stack over the years and never found anything better than the standard, but it's always a matter of preference!

    • @DocHoleInTheDay
      @DocHoleInTheDay Před 3 lety

      @@mainelymesh Thanks! And yes, reversing the order of the diamonds. I’ve been seeing more people using it when stringing to the inside for a smoother transition to the base of the channel. But yeh, def a preference thing

    hey man i realize this video was posted a year ago but i just strung my surgeon 900 this way however the ball get stuck in the transition part of the pocket where it’s first strung to the inside. do you have any tips

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před rokem

      Step 1 is always to pound out the pocket, but I also made a video recently after this one where I discussed why I stopped stringing to the inside (in part because of problems like that!)

    which STX sci ti shaft should i use with this head?

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před 3 lety +1

      Just depends on what durability you're looking for! X is the lightest, so if you protect your stick well and rarely slash/crosscheck that's one of the spectrum, and the X+ on the other end is the beefiest you can get. O profile is the best of both worlds.

    Is this G3 XL Semi-Soft?

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před 3 lety

      I believe this is Semi-Soft Memory Mesh (came from STX without a box haha). But the same pattern should work for G3 XL, just might have to work it in a bit.

  • @darylli5768
    @darylli5768 Před 3 lety

    So what’re the pros/cons comparing stringing to the inside and doing knots (ustring style)?

    • @mainelymesh
      @mainelymesh  Před 3 lety +1

      Pro of stringing to the inside: more ball retention. Con: Most heads aren't designed for it, nor are most meshes, so it can be a little finicky depending on the models you are using.
      Pros of standard stringing: consistent, easy to lock down, easy to make minor tweaks. Cons: none really, just doesn't maximize ball retention like stringing to the inside does.
