If you ever go to Orkney to fish the Lochs, especially Harray Loch this is a "must have fly" for there .
Hook - Fario wetfly 10 or 12
Thread - UNI Black 8/0
Body - Globrite 5,7&8 blended
Rib - Gold wire
Hackle - Red Game
Head - Roe deer
Nice technique on the deer hair👍
Cheers Starsky

Stevie very nice tying of the fly nice deerhair work it's hard to know when to stop trimming it sometimes so what is the mix of 5,7&8 is it = parts ? thanks in advance Rab
Sorry for the late reply Rab , yeah it’s globrite 5 and 8 cut into small pieces then teased out .
A braw wee beastie Stevie. How would you fish that fly on Harray? Thanks for the tips, 🎣👏👍
Hi Clark, I fished it on the floater the other night , used it on the top dropper along with the Hutch’s Pennel in the middle and a Connemara Black on the tail .. had a few fish from the bank
