I have been on carnivore for 3 weeks and eat only BBB & E. No sugar, carbs, etc... and I've gained 4 lbs. Am I doing something wrong?
@@christopherbastian2234 track your body fat % not weight to see if you are really gaining.
Might be gaining muscle and rebuilding bone and tendons, etc. - which weigh more than fat. At first I gained a little , because my muscles were weak.
If a cardiac surgeon recommends and eats carnivore, that's about all I need to know. The number of doctors in this lifestyle is encouraging. 🫀❤️
Keeping it Simple was what I did to help my husband with his diabetes levels which are now in normal range, something that has never been possible since he was diagnosed many years ago and following all the professionals advice on dieting with diabetes.
Never tell anyone about your dreams if you don't want to get negative support. Just do it. When they notice the change in you they will ask, now it's time to tell them.
I walk every day and have for years. My neighbors all watched me lose 83 pounds. Suddenly they were stopping me and asking for advice. When I told them that 80+ percent of my success was nutrition, I won over several new folks.
When people ask me what I did, they get turned off when I tell them about carnivore. I have family that is suddenly worried about my health, when they didn't seem concerned at all when I was obese, eating sugar, chips, and soda

Crazy, right?
So true.
My number one tip from a middle-aged 2.5 year carnivore. Throw away the scale. Yes, get rid of it. Focus on how you feel and how your clothes are fitting. Don't let those numbers rule your life any longer.
A string for the waist line is enough.
Hope you're doing okay Bella, it's been a while!
Where is she? Is she ok?
@@stevenjohnson9855 I've been wondering too!
@@stevenjohnson9855 She hasn't been active on any of her socials, no idea what happened to her...
I came in to check in on her too. I hope she’s okay.
She said she was dealing with family stuff on her IG before disappearing
buy a cow, like I just did total cost with processing was 2823.00. Came to 375.70 pounds of freezer meat! Thats an average of 7.51 per pound. Thats for steaks, roasts, stew meat, brisket and TONS of prepacaged hamburger! MUCH more at an average of 7.51 per pound! All meat vacuum sealed and labeled! Go to a grocery store and try to buy a steak for 7.51 per pound - GRASS FED and HUMANLY RAISED! -- NOT --Garage freezer is full!!! No more grocery store trips for meat for about 2 years! Live in central Tennessee!
Also, You probably already know about this, but I am going to share anyway. I hard boil some eggs and mix the yolks with lots of butter to make deviled eggs now. I also salt to taste. The butter actually tastes really good mixed with the yolks. I love it.
Thank you, I did not know this! And I’m brand new to carnivore, so of course I wouldn’t. But I’m def going to eat this!
I really want to try and make some duck fat mayo. Can't really buy it anywhere, so have to make it myself. Getting the duck fat is already an expensive ordeal...
How much butter to egg?
Here in Scandinavia its traditional, you see it everywhere, its called "finska piroger" so you put the egg mixture on rice bread, ps. I skip the bread and the mayo, tastes delicious, put like 50-100g butter for every 6 eggs
Great idea!
I substitute sour cream for Mayo because I’m too lazy to make my own Mayo, I’m ketovore so I have the carbs to use.
I like that butter idea.
Funny we used to think that you need to start the day with cereal. No wonder we'd get to school and be tired!
I hope everything is ok @steakandbuttergal it’s been awhile! We miss you! Take care of yourself. ❤
Dumb question but do you know what happened to her? She’s been MIA for a while now
Wondering the same? Is she okay?
@@bladekhaira yah of course happens all the time I already knew soon as I loooked n see she didn’t post
I remember Bella said that someone in her family needed help and that why she is MIA. 😕
No kidding, she could have just said I’m back. Sorry for going MIA, I had some personal issues for her new followers.
My favorite tip is to eat cold fat instead of hot liquid, rendered fat. This is my third try on starting carnivore. The other times I could not take the weeks of diarrhea. This time, almost no loose bowels! That has made all the difference. Thank you for clarifying that. Someone told me the problem was rendered fats, but I did not understand the solution at that time.
What if I put the rendered fat in the fridge and re-use it cold. Does it still give you the negative side effects? Isn’t lard rendered fat?
Its sad when CZcamsrs disappear without a goodbye. It’s been more than six years and I still miss good ol’ Butter Bob Briggs. Wishing Bella well and hoping for a speedy return.
Butter Bob Riggs explained the diet so simply, way ahead of his time. He is still around on facebook but unfortunately his son passed away and it seems he decided to move on from youtube.
I think butter bob died😢
@@lifechoices7869No. He's just tired of doing CZcams.
I started my carnivore diet on 4/3/2023. In July 2020, I was diagnosed with borderline lupus. I've had inflammation throughout my body for almost 3 yrs. Today is my 3rd day, and for the first time, I woke up with no pain... and I do have more energy. This is great. I'm full most of the days and I don't feel like eating chocolate (which I love and almost had every day).
And was feeding your lupus…congratulations!
My best tip is be careful with dairy. I got into binging on yogurt with whipped cream and it interfered with hunger cues and I started gaining weight like crazy.
I find raw dairy best. I avoid yogurt. Milk protein/molecule gets more gunky in our bodies when heated over 142.7F. Some cheese makers make clear on keeping below that temperature, such as 135F on down lower. Some 'raw cheese' is sold which is processed at 158F. 161F is the official pasteurized temperature.
Yes, I fell in love with drinking milk and it did me dirty, but it did help ease me into carnivore. So it wasn't a complete loss
I've just gained some weight, which is really unusual for me, and I'm suspecting dairy is the biggest reason, sadly. Helpful seeing your comment.
@@abigailloar956 that’s what I figure too. It’s helped me stick with carnivore and I’ll ween myself off when I want to focus on weight loss.
@@bonsummers2657
Lucky for you, as raw dairy is illegal here.
1. Keep it simple: Meat, Eggs, Butter, Water, Salt.
2. Once you know about it, get on it. (Just do it.)
3. Eating enough fat.
4. Caution with hot fat, replace with cold, solid fat if necessary (e.g. butter, tallow, grease).
5. Make the 7 essential movements easy one after another.
6. Do it for yourself.
7. Struggle is okay. Overcome that struggle.
8. Find community, do it together. (Friend, social platform,..)
9. Prep up your fridge/ freezer with meat, butter and eggs. Don't keep the old stuff.
10. Listen to your body and enjoy the journey.
11. Keep at it. You'll succeed on the long term.
Tips without order, not complete.
Thanks to all the wonderful people sharing their knowledge and experience in this video. You're all radiant.
I can only eat beef and fish I can't eat butter or eggs. Yes also I use salt
I'll quit I guess. I'm hungry but the thought of another meat makes me gag. Honestly I have no idea how can someone bite into a stick of butter. Don't know what to do 😢
@@l.j.7540 Did you try clean keto using real foods ONLY??
NOTHING PROCESSED NO VEGETABLE OILS?
That’s how I started then veggies lost their appeal and I am ketovore. Only 20 or less grams of carbs a day.
Dr Berry has videos on eating clean keto, he is my hero. The more fat I added the less hungry and happier I was. GRADUALLY.
I had been low fat, plant based, calorie restricted for 36 years trying to lose my pregnancy weight. 9 months of a proper human diet I now weigh my high school weight (LOWER than my pre pregnancy weight) WHICH I have maintained for 1 year without a yo-yo fluctuation 😂😂😂
I now can eat pats of Kerrygold butter heavily salted for dessert. ❤
2 years ago I would have said, no way!
I will be praying for for you to find a path to optimize your health. I started my journey shortly after my kid brother died from diabetes, I only changed my eating to avoid dying of diabetes, the weight fell off as my insulin levels plummeted.
Watch Dr Berry’s videos on insulin resistance, please for your sake.
Can you explain about hot/cold fat? I just confused, eating for example hot beef fat is bad but eating cold one is OK?
@@azericanavar1 liquid or warmed up fat tends to cause diarrhea.
Cold, solid fat generally does not. That’s why some eat slices of cold butter or tallow (beef fat) as a side dish. You want the nutrition from the fat but if you can’t digest it (diarrhea) you can’t reap the benefits. Your tolerance to warm fat will grow with time. Everyone needs to experiment. Hope this helps.
Day 64 on the carnivore diet.
I started with ribeyes, eggs, ghee, and beef tallow, but since day 43 it has been only beef, salt and water for SIBO, histamine intolerance, leaky gut, and celiac Main symptoms were bloating (I didn't realize how bad until I started carnivore and now experience NONE) and rashes everywhere.
I only eat at around noon and at about 6 pm, and total food for the day is around a kilo, or 2.2 lbs of beef. I don't snack and it is not a struggle at all, I really only start to feel hungry when lunch and dinner time are near.
My rashes got much worse for the first 6-8 weeks, which is why I went strict beef, water, salt, to eliminate the possibility that eggs, ghee, or tallow was part of the problem still in my diet. Since I knew about oxalate dumping and the detox process I stayed the course. Today is the first day that it seems like I don't have fresh rashes and what is left is drying up and healing. 11 years living with this problem after strep throat and 2 rounds of antibiotics.
I have never felt this good at any point in my life physically and mentally. Fitness and diet have been important for me since before the problems started, but the diet part I was getting wrong even though it was considered healthy.
At about the 6 week mark I noticed that I felt stronger and more in control during my workouts than ever before. That hasn't stopped yet. I'm able to add extra weight to every workout, and I'm barely sore the day after. I can't believe the gains I'm making on this diet. I only take 4000 IU of vitamin D, and a few drops of iodine for supplements daily. When I started I weighed 165lbs (I'm 6 feet tall and 39 years old). Weight loss was not on the agenda, but I weighed myself today and I am 154lbs. 11lbs in 2 months. I can't even hide my abs if I tried, they just stick out all the time😂
Before I began carnivore, I started a treatment that a team of specialists made for me based on all the bloodwork and tests and was taking over a dozen supplements during each phase of treatment. The funny thing is, literally the first thing I was told was that I was eating TOO MUCH red meat! Now that is the only thing I eat! I don't even know how much I blew on supplements, but it was significant because I live in Latin America now and they aren't cheap to get here. What a waste of 2 years following the treatment.
I plan on continuing the lions diet until my skin is completely healed. Then I will look at slowly adding more carnivore foods one at a time to the diet to make sure I tolerate them before permanently adding it. I might end up ketovore in the end because I'd love to add things like avocado, coconut and coconut water to my diet. Whatever I do, it will be a diet that keeps me in ketosis, because damn, I can't believe how good I feel on no carbs!
I share my story only in hopes that it will give someone else who struggles with mysterious health problems the courage to give this diet an honest try. I'm convinced that anyone who does the diet for 6-8 weeks will realize that WE ARE CARNIVORES, or at the very least, ketovores, when times were tough and meat was hard to come by.
Good luck to everyone on their journey to optimal health!
you better give up the carnivore because of histamine intolerance I don't know if it was because of the eggs I ate a lot of eggs and butter
@@Jaidiliasantos That's why you should do strict beef, salt, water until symptoms start going away, then add those in, if there is a reaction, you know what the problem is.
@@yesitrotamundos2904 thank you for answering me you got better from histamine intolerance
Best advice… join Bella’s steak and butter gang 30 day challenge. I did and I no longer have cravings for sugar. It was the support I needed to get me over the hump and kick the few little veggies I was still eating. Thanks Bella!!!
How long did it take you to kick the sugar cravings? Seeing your comment just made my day, truly. You rock, please keep it up! More people need to see that comment. Spam that in videos all over. Let people know how good you feel now that you no longer have sugar cravings and are now on a proper human diet.

My HUGE SETBACK is that I don’t have a gallbladder.😭 So difficult to digest fats even w/ my ox bile pills… w/o getting sick. I just joined Dr. Shawn Baker’s community so I’m trusting God will continue to lead me.
@@ChuckCanada1 hi Chuck! I did coach Raymond’s priming and feasting and fasting protocol. My cravings were gone in less than 2 weeks. I have zero desire for anything except meat! 🙌🏻
@@Wonderpattypatty I’m so sorry about your gallbladder. My mom had here’s removed and she was shocked when I told her that the reason she was getting gallstones was of her years of low fat dieting. Doctors still get it wrong that too much fat causes the gallbladder to not work. 🤦🏻♀️ I would most definitely trust in Dr. Baker. I know I will be more difficult, but it is possible. Please know you are doing amazing things for your health by eating a meat based diet. Best of luck to you!
Are you still in the group? Is it still going? I found this channel a week and a half ago but don't see any new posts. Currently 3 April but the challenge page still shows March Challenge only. Am I going to the wrong place to sign up?
I LOVE to switch up to chicken!! So, I boil up about 4 chicken thighs, then when done, I drain off the hot water, and give them a cold water water bath. While my chicken is cooling, I fry up about 6 strips of bacon and remove them from the pan when they're done. I add about 1 more TBS of bacon grease to my pan, then add my cold chicken...CUT UP, then crumble up my bacon and add that to the pan too, and mix it together thoroughly. I put that into a bowl and add a couple of TBS of butter for more fat. YUMMY

Hej Bella, Im on my 6th day of Carnivore diet after being a vegan/vegetarian for 6 yr. On the day before I stocked up. Fir breakfast I'm loving eggs scrambled or boiled with lots of cold butter. I've never been a mince meat eater in my life until now so I started eating chicken drum sticks cooked in lots butter then I eat cold and the butter cold too. Then on the third day I cook mince beef in butter and a lil salt. I'm enjoying eating chicken and minced beef and some times a lil cheese. Oh my the dairy, meat here in Sweden is sooo good. I'm doing well, eating when I'm hungry, stop until I'm full with some water about 20 mins later. Only once I was feeling nauseous and it was because I ate warm butter with eggs, after that I'm great. I'm taking it slow and easy on myself. I can see an improvement in my health alrwadt and oh yes loving the fish here too ...sooo Greatful to be living in a country with sooo much good food for a carnivore. Thank you for your amazing posts, learning a lot from you ❤️
Sounds amazing!! 😎
Glad you also live in a good country 😊I’m in the Midwest US, going to Costco this week ( about 30 minutes away) they have thee best ribeye I have ever eaten! ( I’ve eaten at many 5 star restaurants and never had a ribeye that was better than Costco ribeye 😋
Fantastic video!! I am on month 2 of carnivore!! All tips useful and doable!! Had to pick a favorite!?!? What I can pick isssss!! Steak and Butter Gal has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen!! MEAT On!! 💞🧜♀️💞
I buy fresh meat cuts once a week and portion them out into freezer bags and put them in the freezer. It really makes it a no brainer. Take it out the night before or in the morning. Air fryer is a life saver. Make whipped browned butter bites to help you get through a craving. It's like dessert.
Fantastic! Luv this for sharing! Thankyou. ❤
I melt salted Amish butter over my meat for seasoning. I buy large pork tenderloin and slice it up and freeze 2 slices each . I pound it out with a little paprika, garlic and oregano. I cook low in lard and melt the Amish butter over it.
it's been a while. I hope you're ok. miss you!
I see you dropped the "Gouda" thing.. Lol, ya, that one was kinda corny..... Really appreciate all you've done for me Bella. A major contributor to the success of my ongoing Carnivore diet. Thank you so much !
Flavor fatigue - could also go the other way and fast a bit, gets rid of any overuse issues for me
A small stand alone freezer is fairly cheap, and will save you piles of money in the long-term. When your favorites are on sale, fill the buggy. I like to put on an extra couple layers of plastic wrap before I put it in the freezer.
I love when I shop and I have meat and eggs, and everyone else has everything else, lol
Deep freezer is important.
Helps one not need to be in the store frequently… good for those who still feel cravings when shopping.
Thank you for the amazing tips. I am new to this lifestyle.

She’s got loads of those videos already but sometimes the bulk meat already comes packaged
It's best to buy some freezer storage bags so you can open the bulk pack and then pack each steak separately in their own bag, that way you don't have a huge pile of steaks all frozen together, you can just take one out and thaw it any time.

Been on keto then carnivore for over 5 years. Been watching you for over a year. Never understood you just eating a stick of butter. Well.......... For lunch today I decided to eat part of a stick of butter and some meat. Not horrible! And I feel like this will help my brain too!
Thanks for all the tips! I love your channel.❤️🤗❤️
My Ninja air fryer has made carnivore so easy. I love that thing. No smoke, oil splatter, supervision. Awesome. It has made carnivore consistency possible and delicious. Salmon, hamburger, steak! So good with an airfryer.
Love my Af too for meats
I just stumbled across a Doctor Berry video a few days ago as I was searching for info on keto to relieve my dog's seizures. As I mentioned on the doctor's video, the diet appealed to me so I decided I'd "set up a bowl for myself next to his." Watching last night's Q&A with Doc Berry and Neisha, I grew interested in Carnivore. I'm only a few days into my research.
My dog have saisures and all he ever was and still is eating ground beef. Is on meds but is not helping to much.
@@caling1743sorry to hear it's not helping your dog
I liked the recommendation to eat cold fat, butter, or drippings. I freeze and salt pork belly fat, it's so good!
Explanation it's on "community" tab. She's ok.
My best tip is to eat more fat. Learned the importance of this after upping my fat intake myself. Cravings are gone and sleep is great.
Congrats! Great tip 🙌
If I may ask how much fat do you consume in a day?
@@espianmashias9565 Depends on your goals & tolerance levels. Many carnivores are eating 60-70% just naturally with the meats they choose. When I first went keto 4 years ago for inflammation I was eating around 75% fat & shed 30 lbs in 3 months & resolved most of my arthritis pain as well. I'm now mostly meat based but do eat some vegetables & berries & without actually measuring I'd say I'm around 50-60% most days. The real key is to eat slowly to satiety & eat only if you're hungry.
@@johnnypenso9574 thank you!
I try to match grams of fat with grams of protein , 80 g protein - 80 g fat. Also for women , spread protein total through out the day - if you need 90 g , then 30 g each meal. That would keep your blood sugar level great .
Excellent video, 2nd day. Can’t find your recipes with my device. ♥️👍🏻🇨🇦
Where have u gone! Praying for you… God be with U
About to start thanks to this video, ready to beat these sugar cravings
Excellent video!♥️
Great insight for carnivores.
I live in Italy, the best meat offers are later in the day. Many times I get 50% off on meat "expiring" the following day 😂😊😅
Thank you for your great videos! Could you make one about eggs and dairy (butter) intolerance on carnivore?
We buy a side of beef from a farmer. The taste is incredible. You get KC Strips and ribeye for the cost per pound of hamburger.
awesome! thank you!
My favorite best tip is Keep it simple and do it with other Carnivores!!
Thank U for your information.
Love this…thank you
I've just subbed. What a great channel and awesome host Isabelle is. Just wanted to ask if anyone else adds a few mushrooms to their omelette? Even though it's not carnivore.
I have been eating beef, butter, bacon, and eggs since April of last year. It’s what I like. It makes me feel the best and when I go off that I tend to have issues. I can’t eat spices or pepper or salsa or anything like that not that I would want to, but yeah certain things really upset my G.I. I just like to keep it simple because it makes me feel the best.
A way to preserve butter (in case the lights go out) is in a butter "bell", Bella. No need for refrigeration, and ready to spread. Not cold, though. The butter is kept under water so no air gets to it to produce rancidity. It holds half a stick a butter at a time.
This is so interesting! Can you please give more detail about this process? Thanks.
@@Wonderpattypatty Hiya, Patty. Do a search for it, and you will find all you need. Here is a brief description:
"A butter bell (also commonly called a butter crock or butter keeper) comes in two pieces: a cone or cup shaped container with a non-removable, saucer-like base, and a larger cup - both are usually made of ceramic.Your butter is placed in the the smaller cone/cup (it's best to use soft, but not too soft/melty, butter when adding it), and cold water is placed in the larger cup. The butter cone is then placed, butter side down into the cup containing the water. Until you get used to using it, you should do this step over the sink, as water may overflow out. After a few goes, you'll figure out just how much water you need by sight, but to be clear… the butter should touch the water. What you're doing is preventing any air from coming into contact with the surface of the butter, effectively sealing it off from the air and preventing spoilage."
@@firetopman Thank you so much for your quick and thorough reply! I really appreciate it. God bless you! 😊🙏
@@Wonderpattypatty You're welcome. Some of them are real cute and old-fashioned looking.
I buy grass fed butter. I don’t refrigerate my butter. It stays in my counter in a covered glass container. I make sure to never double dip a spoon or butter knife, so not to leave any food in it. It never goes rancid or grows mold.
I love Kelly Hogan"s purse bacon tip! 😁
I took the time to research multiple recipes and appliances to prepare my meats. Although I learned to sous vide chuck roast to tenderness, it took 42 hours. Found out I could use a pot roast recipe in a pressure cooker and got better texture, flavor and gravy in only 1 hour. 😋 🥩👍🤗🥳
Oooo share the pot roast recipe plzzzzz
Do share, please.
Wow! 42 hours for a chuck roast ... how tough is that cut (I've never had one)? I took advantage of a Costco deal recently and bought up several round eye roasts which are known to be tough cuts. I sous vide right in the vacuum sealed packaging at 131 degrees for 18 hours (found the times online) and it's almost *too* tender. Melts in the mouth. I start it about 10pm and it's ready for dinner the next day. Pop it under the broiler with some added butter and bacon fat to brown ... very tasty!
@@coolcpa3321 my chuck roast was over 6 lbs. I cut it in 3 chunks, salted and browned all sides on the sautee setting. I added 2 cups water, 1 tablespoon each tomato paste and better than bullion beef flavor and a few table spoons butter. Close the lid and hit the meat setting for 1 hour. I shredded it with 2 forks. If you are also feeding non carnivores, remove the meat and add their veggies and cook a few minutes more before making their gravy or in my case using 2 cups of the liquid to cook 2 more roasts. I vacuum sealed multiple single servings and froze them. 😋
@@24carrotgold8 Thank you for the instructions. Sounds yummers. I'll give it a try.
Thanks SB Gal.
I've even quit COFFEE-- never thought I'd do that.. two days now and NO coffee- and not missing it.
Great points.
Thank you ❤️
2 months into it and I lost 6 kg already n m enjoying the simple diet... It's awesome
The "buy in bulk" is great, better still if you buy the "primal" or the whole cut of Ribeye, Sirloin, Strip Steak, etc. You get the bulk amount and by getting it that way you can save $1-$5 per pound. There are plenty of youtube videos on how to cut meat into eating-size portions. The meat cutter at my local Sam's Club even offered to cut one up for no extra charge, so you may not need to be your own butcher. If you do go for cutting it yourself all you really need is a cutting board/ surface big enough for the piece of meat you're cutting, and a sharp knife of appropriate size for said piece of meat.
Thank you much!
