7:59 You can look at the nice Pirelli DHR2 on Loris' bike...
who doesnt love the pirelli assegai and pirelli dhr2
that's a lot of assess rubber, I've not seen that before. But at least the thread is aligned from left to right and is straight. I've had a lot of Maxxis tyres where this was not the case. Basically most of the tyres I had were faulty. Maybe 20 plus tyres. But the one Loris has is flawed too, those rubber fins.
Another weekend of racing, thanks Vital and Lawlor!
Wow the Atherton bikes look head and shoulders cleaner than the pivot and the spesh. Just the way the lugs fit so well on the fiber tubes
The spesh is only a prototype to test geometry and suspension kinematics. The final design won’t use lugs, it’ll probably be all carbon fiber
@@Dwaynefreeman agreed even the pivot prototype will not like that and in my opinion the pivot looks insane
Atherton has had longer to refine the form
The Pivot looks 🤌
The athertons are finished products. The others are fast prototypes.
Will be interesting to see what Special has under those covers when it's finally revealed, CSs are massive. Absolutely love that NEW Pirelli at 8:00 , do you know which model that is? 😆
Absolutely love this new Pirelli
Excellent content
4:01 Unior Smooth file.
I've used it for the same purpose, it works great. Also use it for filing freehubs.
im deffo drawn to propane dh bike at the moment i think im gonna custom build one for sure
Loris running blacked out DHR2s even with the new Pirelli sponsor lol
Send it Phil!
I will take an XXXL Demo.
Atherton with purple Hayes.❤
Lol Phil Atwill "I'm running inserts" - rim is still dented af
Greg Minaar snapped that frame that one time and now runs two bikes 😂
3:05 loic said my wheel is 90% dead....that think looks mint to me send it my way ill get another season out of it.
Did i see a Trek Session with 180mm rotors?? Is Leogang pretty flat or what?!
Angel Suarez Unno Ever please
Seconded
X3
As if Specialized haven't put Jordan on a new prototype. He just prefers the old one
No point putting him on a proto he doesn’t need to be thinking about is this setting better or worse between runs at this point of his career.
That’s a massive assumption. Newer riders are usually not put on proto development. Plus… the whole point of proto development is to get useable feedback and then they modify and retest. It’s not a one-and-done situation since development usually takes two years or so. And for what it’s worth… I am an industrial designer and I got through many many design, test, repeat cycles and feedback is the a hugely important aspect in that process.
As if you know anything about what Specialized is doing.
interesting how more and more mtb brands (Spec. and Pivot to name two) are making lugged carbon tube frames, now that Atherton brought them back. I have a Calfee carbon lugged, carbon tube road bike frame that I got over 20 years ago. Not a new technology. Great that Rachel is back for another go.
I could be wrong but I think they are just doing it for the prototypes so they can change the geo without needing a new mold and the actual production bikes will be a regular carbon construction
pivot is doing it for protos, but all atherton bikes used the 3d-printed lugs and carbon tubes, for their team and regular riders who buy one.
@@vitalmtb I know they are only doing it for prototypes, at least for now. But, even prototypes have to be made, don't they? I never said anything about having them for sale at this point.
@@antonsigurdarson2719 I know, but even prototypes have to be made, that was my only point.
Not new technology, but I suspect much improved.
how do we know specialized doesn't just have an ebike motor under that cover lol
Jordans rig looks WAY better than the prototype imo
Canyon stabilizer thingy on a dh bike it s wild
Last time he demonstrated it, it hardly had any power to bring the bars back. Can't see it doing a right lot to be honest.
Had one on a trail bike 20 years ago, hopey damper.
It isnt from Canyon, KIS was invented by Liteville and bought by Canyon
Knpo pit.e bruni di blongsong lek ?
180mm on Loris' back wheel?
Appears so. No floaters either, but the disc seems very beefy so perhaps not much brake fade.
👍
How tall is Jordan Williams then?
6’6
Are those purple anodized Hayes brakes made of carbon?
Well, anodized, so probably no
@@andreaTRY2FLY But possibly yes?
@@trentvlak perchance
@@andreaTRY2FLY I want to get my Scor anodized purple.
@@trentvlak for real, if it's carbon, you can't anodize it, anodizing involves electricity and carbon is not a conductive material. I feel like you know this and just trolling lol
The canyon guy "it's definitely not a damper, but it's a steering stabilizer"
So...a steering damper. Lol.
It doesn't dampen. It effectively just provides self-centering force and can't reduce high force impacts to the rider like a proper fluid damper.
Something about gluing carbon fiber to aluminum just doesn't sit well with me I love the look of the bike but it looks sketchy
7:38 this fork and spring look like a different colour, they look red, and at 7:41 the fork looks pink in certain shots. almost orange, looks like bright red.
I am guessing it's still the same Fox orange. Or is it new colours?
I using calibrated monitor.
9:04 Syndicate bike also looks pink. Very different to what's on their Instagram.
I am guessing all of this is just due to footage not being graded or not using a lut on the camera it self, some cameras mess up these colours.
Brought to you buy Burgtec.
pertamax
7:55 180mm rotor. Shows you dont need 220mm rotors, and your rear rotor should be bigger. Stop buying bigger rotors, instead lose bodyweight
