    Focus 2008 on
    C Max 2007 on

Thanks for the video. Just done this on my edge. Very well explained. I managed to do it without removing the inner wheel arch cover. As a reference my tray bolts where 7mm. Gearbox fill/drain plug 8mm hex.
    Thanks again for the help.

Great video , I Have a 65 plate Kuga with the powershift box , I think after watching your video I will do this job myself as Bicester Ford want £300 to do the job . I think as long as you Measure what comes out and you have it on the level when checking the final level in the gearbox you can’t go wrong
    Cheers Phil

Good morning, congratulations for the video, it's very well done. I also own this beautiful car. only perplexity: I keep the car on stands so it's not level, letting the oil come out from the overflow at the end of the maintenance, can the final oil level be distorted? thanks for any response.

I never screw level plug. Always came out 7 liters and came in 7 liters, that's all. Any problem. Oil with outer filter remain after 40000km, but outer filter remain after 20000km, addition.

Hi just watched your video on changing auto box oil
Hi I have seen a couple of this being done on a Kuga”s they also put 6 litres of oil back in but on there video when they removed
The oil level plug they caught the oil pouring out into a jug refitted the level check plug and then refilled with clean oil the amount that came out
I am looking at doing a auto box oil change my self on my edge and your video was a lot more clearer to watch as the other videos I saw where in garages
With poor light and obscure vision
One guy with his face blanked out. On your video you checked the level and poured some more oil in for it to pour out again
Did you do the same top up after fitting the check level plug or is that not necessary
I have watched a few of your video and are all very clear and you can see all the items your removing to do the repairs
    Thanks

Hi, about 1/2 litre came out the check level but I topped up with fresh oil until it started dripping out the check level plug again. At that point I tighten all plugs up. I didn’t add any more oil. Pleased you found the video helpful.

    • @pyromaniac354
      @pyromaniac354 Před 25 dny

I think it because it needs to curculate the oil around as there is a top chamber and bottom chamber hence when he takes the side oil bung out some oil comes out as the bottom chamber is slightly too high then puts more oil in to fill top chamber which in turn overflows to bottom chamber then out side bung

Hi have watching your videos on your edge services I am just wondering have you done a fluid change on the power transfer unit/transfer box I have seen a few
Videos on the this being done on a 2018 edge as some say it needs doing around 20 to 30 thousand miles as the fluid gets crappy have you herd of this or do you no of a service change of the fluid thanks eric

Hey, it’s my next job. Not actually seen many people change but have heard and watched videos on it that it does get a bit crappy hence why I’m looking to do. Im hoping there is a sump on it but need to check first. (Main job gets in the way of playing unfortunately ) If not I need to to get a bit of kit to suck the oil out from the level plug and refill.

Hi the videos I have seen are most USA edge but can’t see being much different there is a fluid drop plug just over exhaust but it is easy to get to The fill plug is next to right hand drive shaft on the petrol engines there a bit tight to get to not sure on Diesel engine does not take a lot of oil around 3/4 ltr as far as I’ve seen
It’s the same on all ford awd ptu edge kuga galaxy mondeo Evan USA explorer looks like ford kept it simple also looking at rear diff oil just do search for Ford Edge PTU oil change on CZcams 2010 to present are all the same one all the best and look forward to watching hopping to get mine done around February
