Why can't this be an app on your existing phone? I mean, better hardware, no additional device, use existing data plan, easier software support, etc. Just sell the app or have a cheap subscription model in app.
Because technically it is not possible due to content and device fragmentation issue. Other manufacturers dont allow opening app within app.
Completely agree with you but didn't like the subscription model idea, it can be an expensive app. Also, the other comment mentioning that manufactures don't allow opening apps in an app is I think wrong because it would sort of work as a launcher..

@@ketley2aug No bhai, actually I don't know anything about that. That's the reason I omitted it in the comment, I just wanted to talk about the using apps in the app thing. To me it feels like the RabbitAI and HumaneAI pin thing that creating a product just for the software doesn't makes sense when you already have a device but as you mentioned the fragmentation issue, yeah that could be a big thing here..

Just bought the XREAL Air 2 Pro, but this is the first time I hear about the Beam Pro! Great idea and addition to the glasses and as you said a cheap entry point to the word of Spacial Video.

Thank you for this review, I actually been looking at this option and i have heard the first "beam" that came out was not so great, however after you showed the capabilities of beam pro, its a game changer, specially since you can use the android apps, i can totally see myself wanting to get one of this and experience for myself the refresh rate while connected to the beam pro, which is something im looking forward!
I have the original beam. It's useful. Not great lol. It is useful as my phone doesn't support usb video output, also the beam can be used as a powerbank. Other than streaming videos and using it as a powerbank, i can't do anything else on it.
The Beam Pro hast no hdmi output
I have the original beam and this looks like a huge improvement

I love how XREAL has placed the lenses in the correct location on the Beam Pro. I’ve often thought Apple would do the same on the iPhone but it seems like they think their small block of lenses is too iconic of a look to change! I’d love to have this glasses/Beam Pro combo!

This is so cool and has a futuristic feel . . . just like in the movies. How was it with motion orientation? I sometimes get this when experiencing 3D and then moving around. Thanks for the extensive review and exposing your subscribers to new tech.

This device gives us so many use cases. With the Android store available finally to the Xreal AR 2 Pro glasses, we literally now have millions of them with all of those apps. I’m looking forward to recording some of my sailing trips out on the ocean in 3d spatial. I also like the productivity option offered by Nebula where you can have two desktops side by side. That’s a big one for me. Being able to connect wirelessly to my Xbox at home is also a game changer.
I wonder if we will start to see 3D games coming out soon that can be played while using the Xreal glasses and Beam II setup?

Don't get it twisted division Pro is more for immersive VR. These gives you argumentative reality spatial computing. To top it off between the other XR glasses these are the only ones that are Google Certified and can give you Google Play and Google services on their devices.
man, I've been watching content from AR GLASSES since the xreal was called NReal! it's amazing how much it has changed! I'm eager to see how amazing it will be when they add hand tracking to these! 🤩

When my kiddos were born i had 180° cameras in the delivery so i could watch it back in VR in the future. 3D is the best way to go though. Such a cool way to capture momentS

Great explanation for spatial videos, it's really something you just have to see outside of a CZcams video. Do you find yourself dealing with motion sickness at all?
It has smooth follow mode which prevents motion sickness.

Review: Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro
After spending a few days with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro, here are my thoughts:
Ultimate On-the-Go Display: This device is perfect for any Android app and streaming media. It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution.
Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient.
Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device.

Battery: 4300mAh
Processor: 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz

Impressions:
Field of View: The field of view is impressive, though future models will need to improve in this area to compete with the likes of the Apple Vision Pro.

Performance: The 8GB model performs well, though the 6GB model might not be as robust.
Overall, for the price, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro offer a very impressive experience.

You can watch back spatial videos and panorama pictures on the Quest 3 can you use the beam with the Meta Quest 3???

Hello. Thank you for your comment. This is very thoughtful, and while you can transfer the video content created on XREAL Beam Pro onto other devices, and upload to sites like CZcams, having a dedicated application for spatial video viewing is a lovely idea.
It would be great if you review the ultra and how (if at all) it would pair with this beam pro.

Hello. Thank you for your comment. While our XREAL Air series AR glasses may look like sunglasses, we cannot recommend them as a form of sun protection.
As for comfort, YMMV, and we do encourage users to take short breaks between use.
