I noticed that 3D films only seem to work via Nebula (which is a very limited 'tv' app that can only read files off the phone), would this allow me to stream 3D video's from my NAS and also, does it include Dex - or is the work based environment better than it / Nebula? Cheers and a thumbs up...

I got the Xreal air 2 pro last year on a friend's recommendation, and it's amazing with my Steam Deck! Honestly, it's even better than the official OLED screen because it offers a huge, clear display.
However, I've noticed that Xreal's influence is being overtaken by other brands, which is a real shame. I've tried other AR glasses brands like rokid and viture , and they can't even get proper binocular focus.
In terms of technical capabilities, XREAL is far ahead of the others.
But now, why is this happening? You guys should really reflect on this~~~~

It'll work with other brand's AR glasses, but only for mirroring. The body anchor should work as well, like smooth follow would, at least I would think so anyways, but they did say that beyond mirroring, you'd need Xreal's branded glasses for Nebula OS & it's features.

You could plug the AR glasses into a Samsung device with Dex and get that full setup or plug them into a Mc or Windows PC. They function just like an external monitor. Just keep in mind that you don't get the tracking capabilities, so the screen will just move with your head movemenets.

@@phandroid Let me clarify. Can the Beam Pro run Dex? If not, then how does one do office stuff preferably in a Windows PC environment? When the glasses are plugged into the Beam Pro, I read that there is no display out function to connect to your device (PC, Andrioid) from the Beam Pro, so you have to mirror it somehow. You couldn't direct connect with wires as with the regular beam.

@@phandroid You don't get any of the extended features on a PC like pinned or slow follow display (which sometimes helps w/ motion sickness). No multi-screen support either. And for things like a Switch, well, used it as an external power supply in that scenario. So yes, there is a use-case for either Beam it seems.
Honestly, the old Beam has not been as useful since I just plug directly into the PC as you said and the only thing I liked was the slow-follow. But if I used it w/ my phone (which I don't and DEX seems to not really be a great option yet if I did) I really don't need the Beam Pro either except the 3D picture thing which seems neat.
