- A GREAT WAY TO MAKE CARBON FIBER LAMINATED
In this video I show how to make carbon fiber laminated to use in bow limbs.
It´s the simplest way to laminated carbon and you can got an excelent results.
I used the bi-direcional cloth carbon in the face that will be the face of the limbs ( backing and belly) and in the internal face I used unidirecional carbon cloth.

Ótimo vídeo!
Claro que quero a continuidade.
Valeuuu
Valeuu
Using the thick glass plates for the lamination was VERY clever thinking and seems to have produced good laminates. My boat-building experience strongly suggests that if you see an increase in the number of customers who want carbon fiber in their limbs and/or risers, an investment in a vacuum pump, peel ply, etc. would quickly pay for itself in reduced labor, the elimination of "sticking and prying," and even better saturation and carbon-to-resin ratios.
For the average amateur bow builder, however, your method is close to perfect. It MIGHT be worth experimenting with one or two of the more advanced mold-release compounds to see if the laminate would "let go" of the glass more easily than with the car wax (or whatever) that you used. Just a thought, Chris (Maine, USA)
Parabéns!!!! Ótimo trabalho!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
☺️☺️😘😘
Very cool and really interesting thank you for sharing.
Happy Easter.
God Bless.
Glad you enjoyed it. =)
God Bless you too my friend.
Just subscribed. Love your work
Top demais!!!
Com certeza quero ver a fabricação desse arco!!!!
Valeu brow. Tá na pauta. 😉
Mais um aprendizado pra conta, muito show. Obrigado por compartilhar
Vlw brow 😉
Muito interessante esse vídeo. Vai ajudar muitos a fazer o seu próprio arco.
Valeu... 😉😉
Yes !! 👏🏼👍🏼
enjoy your show.yeah would love to see the bow finished
Thanks. I'll do it.
Excelente trabalho. Parabéns.
Obrigado! ☺️☺️
Valeu mano brigado pelas imformaçao
Tmj 😉
I like to see a full limb build with these carbon lamination, nice job!!!
Thanks 👍
Show! Valeuu
Muito obrigado por compartilhar conosco seu conhecimento.
Tmj. 🤜🤛
Ótimo trabalho parabéns...agora quero ver o arco com certeza
Valeuu... Deixa comigo. 😉
Very nice 🙂💯👍
Claro que sim, e ja compartilho
Valeu brow! 😉
Valeuuu
thanks!
Show mano muito bom Mesmo
valeuu
Com certeza eu quero ver
Tá na pauta. 😁😁😉
this really coulda used some subtitles at least if you didnt feel like talking
Yeah no kidding! I commented on that.. it's important to say what he is using and I said lose the crappy music and talk in the next video! Can't claim to have a how to video without materials and communication
Muito top
Obrigado! ☺️
We want it all. Make a bow man!😎
I did It already. 😉

Obrigado
Tmj 🤜🤛😉
5 coats of honey wax would have helped with that release, and I would have added a few 2-3 strands of uni down the center of each strip. Have a few layups to try once I get going, would like to vacuum bag mine eventually
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Vlw brow 😉
Yes
Great video. What kind of resin/epoxy do you use on the fiber glass?
Its a low densit (class A) epoxy resin. I dont know the brand but here in Brazil its sold by E-composites Store.
Show de bola.
Rsrs.. )
Perfeito like no video, qual a marca da resina epoxi que voce usou
Valeu.
Usei: RESINA EPOXY AR260 - ENDURECEDOR AH260
What glue do you use to attach the carbon fibers?
Kool video... what type of resin or epoxy did you use for the cloth? And what was that spray and finishing polish? Thanks so much
Thanks! I used epoxy resin that I found here in Brasil. But it will work with any good epoxy resin that you can find. For polish I used wax spray.
@@IndianaBows awesome...thanks so much!!
What is different between high modulus carbon limbs(high end) and unidirectional carbon limbs(wns, samick, kinetic etc) i mean their spec..
What kind of resin you used?
Vlw... Vou tentar montar a construção usando elas.
Nice one. May I ask some questions? Is that a warm dry chamber? There where you let dry the carbon fiber? And if it is, how many degrees is it set to? What kind of carbon fibers you used? And they were all the same or in different sizes? I'm talking about thickness, ecc. Thank you very much, but please: change music!😂🙏
May I ask, what are you applying onto the glass? Is it wax?
Hi buddy very interesting I tried once to make carbon sheets I put it on belly side it did not compress very well. Mabe if I put carbon in back side or middle of limb then it will work better and fiberglass for belly. How many sheets you used for this carbon sheet? And how thick did it came out? Great work live you bows. .
Thanks very much. I have some problems with compression too, but I discovered that was because the resin quality that I was using and the quantity of carbon. I find that 3 or 4 sheets works well, but I believe that if the areal carbon weight is bigger, than can be used less sheets.
@@IndianaBows Thank you buddy my fiber glass I made was 1 mm thick and still works good like the Bo tuff fiber glass. I used the material cloth fiber glass not unidirectional.
Boa noite amigo
O carbono comprei no mercado livre
@@IndianaBows Valeu, parabéns e sucesso pra vc
Obrigado
Valeuu 😉
Hello, do not be bored, can you tell me what composite the helicopter wing is made of, what materials do we need to make the helicopter wing, please help me, thank you 🙏
I have some vídeos showing How to make bow limbs
@@IndianaBows I said helicopter wings, how is it made? No bow dear friend?
So, It wil be more clever If you ask It in a helicopter manufacter Channel. Not in a archery Channel. 🤷🏻♂️
would look nice on a horse bow :P
I used a 2 face tape as separator.
In the glass I used demolding wax to clean and prepare the glass.
At the end, I cut, sand and clean with alcohol the carbon lams.
What kind of wood did you use?
In what moment do you mean?
Plastic film layer added in mule avoid sticked part
A vacuumed bag would be easier
Yes, that's an expansive way to do it too.
You're problable too dummy to understand.
alot cheaper to buy it made at 25 US a strip.. its also on the bias that makes it alot stronger against twist.
Maybe you live in a place that you can find it easily. But to import here in Brazil, It Will arrive at almost $100 each because shipping and tax. With the same value that I could bought a couple of a full strips, we can got material to make six or eight Bows. 🤷🏻♂️
Who else could see that greasy finger print after he degreased the laminates lol school boy error
I'm sorry, but most everything you did here is just not correct and possibly dangerous. I only hope you were wearing a respirator while dry sanding the carbon fiber 😬.
Carbon fiber is a great material, but particulates and splinters can do some serious damage. Be careful.
🤔🤔🤔
Carbon is like uranium?
It's made just like fiber glass. No biggie.
