      These are rubbish advices.
The best is to take a word and write it's example sentence. Then imagine whole word & sentence in each other context. Do this to words which you already know but can't recall. And for unknown words, add definition. And best way to learn is Quizlet app. You can do it in note book or paper but these can become old & torn but in quizlet app it will remain forever and you can quickly review & revise & test again & again everyday. This way you will learn better and many thousand words in few words. I mean you can imagine 50000 words in few years repeatedly. Because we should picturise correct image rather than incorrect image. It makes no sense to divide the word transient into "train seen it". Both the word and it's division are unrelated.
Moreover, reading is absolutely important but even in reading, read slowly to imagine each word & sentences in each other context and this way you can come across many words which you imagine and they remain stuck in your mind.
Then comes writing. The best way to write is to choose those things to write about which affects you or influence you. Like you dog. You may have better relation with dog so it about it whatever affects it has on you. You can write about anything even a bottle in front of you. Remember write about those things which affects or influence you. Pick up these spikes.
These three suggestions are enough I believe. Thanks for reading.

I liken this to word association. When my daughter was in middle school back in the 90s, and she was studying for a science test, it was hard for her to remember the gas used in light bulbs (argon). I asked her what usually happens when a light bulb in our house burnt out, and we had to look for one. Well, they were usually "all gone" (they "argon"). Anyhow, I still remember this one, so, yes, pictures and association help!

@@harshvaishnav4363 Well, the method works only for a limited number of words. Once, I asked 1OK people if they used this method to learn over a hundred words. I got 1K answers with only 3 positive responses. That means this method sucks and needs improvement :D

Cheers for this, I've been looking for "quickest way to memorize something" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Yiyevi Ponevi Approach - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my partner got excellent results with it.

The curiosity is enough to learn even 1000 words in a week and sometimes you gotta get out of your comfort zone.
