If we talk about something like old cars, it'll be Hammond.
I think it's more that James appreciates old things as stepping stones to the present day, where Richard and Jeremy like old things largely just because they like them.
He’s aged into his tastes. He was an old man when he was younger. Now he is an old man who is an old man so it suits him perfectly.

It's a bit weird to hear them actually being nice about each other once in a while.
They may play up their hate for each other at times, but the fact that the three of them have stuck together all this time, even to the point of all three leaving Top Gear together, shows that they're pretty good friends. Either that, or they all have stockholm syndrome from being forced around each other for so long.

My brother and I go at each other with constant non-stop making fun of each other but if someone not part of the “group” goes after either one of us in the same manner, then we defend each other to the end. You’d think we don’t like each other as much as we are constantly picking on each other but it’s quite the opposite. And the same goes for our close friends. And we are in our 50’s also. In the end, these three are brothers!

That tent scene with James and Jeremy in north pole is one of my favourite, I'm not fully sure but it's like jezza really wasn't expecting the wine, it was the happiest I've ever seen him.

Hammond and Clarkson will live on with the people as legendary entertainers and journalists. May will live on not only as a legend, but as an important intellect too. The guy has not only worked out life, but done so in such a precise, thoughtful and purposeful way.

I have so much respect for James, he really is the most sensible and mature one of the group.
However, James does try some really halfwitted, not really thought through, contraptions, e.g. his mobile refueling rig.
🤦♂️ He tries stuff that should not have progressed past the "Let's try this." stage. Visualize it in your mind. Oh no, BAD idea. Not worth any time saved, and can't even be tried unless you're the only two vehicles on the road. Downsides are 🔥💥& ☠️.

I love in retrospect, when you hear May casually say "..when we were in the North Pole", it does sound pretty remarkable really. I mean, how many people can say that? lol

James saying he's never slept in a room or tent with Hammond. I recall a certain trip they took in a Caravan with those two sharing the bed and James saying it's "quite romantic".
Then there was the Oslo trip... May made so many jokes about 'spending time' with Hammond that he actually put the poor guy off his food
I mean that was the same caravan as the endless trains so it's entirely possible there was no sleeping.
My dad does the same thing as Clarkson in his sleep with the swearing and all that I remember one time he was fast asleep on the sofa and suddenly out of nowhere he just spurted out MADONNA’S A SLAG 😂

There was the Top Gear episode where James hit his head on a rock (suffered a concussion), Richard’s horrific jet vehicle accident (he had to re-learn speech/walking, etc., and Jezza’s severe case of pneumonia. They care about each other very much.
There's also the Grand Tour beach buggy episode where Richard disappeared over a sand dune and Jeremy genuinely thought he was a gonna.... You could hear his releaf when he realised Richard was ok, he genuinely sunk to his knees.

in old top gear it usually used to be hammond and may trying to beat clarkson in their weird races.
the polar special was one of the rare occassions where clarkson and may were against hamond.
probably because he was the youngest and the old farts would not have survived the time in the

I remembered watching an interview right after where Clarkson and May said in front of Hammond they couldn’t rub the win in anymore because he did what they could never do
I also read it was still quite dangerous, the sled trip. Because Hammond still suffered from that big crash he had with the dragster kinda car. Were a front tire popped. Not sure if 100% accurate tbh. But still,

Me and my dad have watched every GT special, some of my best moments coming home from college are of us sitting back with a bag of popcorn and laughing along with these guys. THANK YOU THE WHOLE GT TEAM!!

this is true friendship though like ive seen them having it for quite a while dont you think so. like they remembered each other habit's and actions and words like its normal. it's the friendship you want really, and to see them do it to each other is just nice to see, friendship guys, is important.
They have such a beautiful relationship. You get these little peaks into how they really feel about eachother, ever so passively. James and Jeremy both sharing a business, Hammond desperate to visit May's pub, May threatening to bring his plane and land at Clarkson farm in order to see it. Its all lovely.
James, Jeremy and Richard. You are simply the Best! Just binge watching Top Gear Seasons 1-22 and The Grand Tour Seasons 1-3. The Specials are very special. British humor at it's best. I am actually worry, what to watch after I am through. I hope for more to come :-) Thanks for all those hours of joy. Cheers!

They also did during the caravan challenge. They both slept in sleeping bags on a large mattress and Hammond was distressed by James saying the sound of the train outside was “romantic”.
Perhaps the experiences were so traumatic James forgot about them.
Save these 3, before anyone. They are rare than anything in this world!

Jeremy is good at lying he just makes up the dumbest things that nobody in the right mind could believe.
I think that Jeremy would be the better murderer. he has all the equptment to get rid of a corpse att his farm. hamster wouldn't be able to carry anyone and may would be busy cleaning his carpet. although how Jeremy would murder is in question, probably someone in the chipping Norton council or however shows up att his squat shop in a electric landcover defender.
In theory, Jeremy would have the best bet for getting away with it, but like Hammond said, with how Jeremy is he probably wouldn't even try to hide it and would do it on live television or something. As such, I think James would be the most likely to get away with it, assuming he had the time to either properly plan it or properly dispose of everything before the police got involved.
But then you have to get rid of the land rover and that's more difficult
