"Life Goes On" Life goes on and on and on If you think it's al gone wrong Go on and on and on Life's a con a con a con If you think you can't go on Go on and on and on But always remember This is the happiest day of your life Life goes on and on and on If you think it's al gone wrong Go on and on and on Life's a con a con a con If you think you can't go on Go on and on and on And as the years they move along I see it now, there's something wrong 'Cos life is for always Take your time Who cares what fools say I don't mind 'Cos this is my day I'll live it my way Today, there's just today Life goes on and on and on If you think it's al gone wrong Go on and on and on Life's a con a con a con If you think you can't go on Go on and on and on
The three songs kinda like can combined towards daily lives feel. The sequence starting 1lifes goes on-Damned 2 eighty - killing joke then finally Comes as you are nirvana.
I’m going to copyright the following note progression: “E->F->F#-> B.” I’m also copyrighting the use of chorus effects on the notes. There. Now pay me.
This is the nature of popular music, probably all music. It’s all derivative. Try as you might, other people’s work subconsciously seeps into your own. Or, not so subconsciously
Well I actually find the Nirvana version (sonically) quite sounds like the Killing Joke adoption. Riffwise -in the way how it sounds through the record- I'd say that Nirvana got more from Killing Joke than Killing Joke did from The Damned.
The funny about Eighties and Life Goes on was Killing Joke had no knowledge of the songs existence until they were gonna sue Nirvana.
"Life Goes On"
Life goes on and on and on
If you think it's al gone wrong
Go on and on and on
Life's a con a con a con
If you think you can't go on
Go on and on and on
But always remember
This is the happiest day of your life
Life goes on and on and on
If you think it's al gone wrong
Go on and on and on
Life's a con a con a con
If you think you can't go on
Go on and on and on
And as the years they move along
I see it now, there's something wrong
'Cos life is for always
Take your time
Who cares what fools say
I don't mind
'Cos this is my day
I'll live it my way
Today, there's just today
Life goes on and on and on
If you think it's al gone wrong
Go on and on and on
Life's a con a con a con
If you think you can't go on
Go on and on and on
Evolution of a song melody Early 1980s, mid 1980s and early 1990s
So its a popular riff , o you think that its not only from killing joke , its evolving
The Damned life goes on is late 70s, not 80s.

2 eighty - killing joke then finally
Comes as you are nirvana.

At least Nirvana made it sound different. Killing Joke is as blatant a rip off I’ve ever heard.

This is why Killing Joke never sued
“Eighties” is still better than “Come as you are” though 😂
@@maria-melek I honestly disagree but i respect your opinion. Come As You Are is a lyrical masterpiece
