  • Converted the Cen Racing F450 to brushless. Testing it out on low speed gearing for the first run on 2S and 3S. Going for the high speed gearing for the next run.

      @ShadeTree RC Thanks bro! That's my thinking. I've seen solid axle MT's, on-road trucks, drag trucks, tow setups for crawling and crawlers.

    What a speed run on low gear!

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety +3

      @ronbernardino Not a speed run as much as testing out what you get with 2S and 3S lipos. Plus I went up three teeth on this. Didn't wan to kill it on the first run since parts are limited.

    Would definitely be curious to see what it’s like in high gear possibly even dropping the pinion down a little. Would be nice if you could maintain some low speed control but still have a nice top speed kind of make it a do any thank truck however 20 mile an hour is pretty good. Just curious how stable you can make it on either gearing and keep temperatures under control

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety

      @Large Scale Life I think I'm going to do a chameleon type project with this. First up though is speed. Next up will be crawling but the articulation is going to be tricky. There is almost none right now which made it good for hooning.

    Getting ready to add one to the collection 🔥🔥 that blue with them brushed aluminum rims is too cool . I'm not sure what I will due with it ! Can you due me a favor ? Measurements on the body & would the body fit the Reeper/ Colossus . I'll order a spare body for the F 450 thanks bro another dope truck

      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety +1

      @just 4 kicks 😂🤣That was the first thing I did when I got, right on the Reeper. Same size maybe a hair longer. Only thing though this is two pieces. It's a little shallow too.

    Sweet truck. I’m still thinking if I should get one or not 🤔. I would want to put a castle sensored 2200 in it though, just for kicks and giggles. Think it’d fit??

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety +1

      @Peter Griffin You got room of the motor but that motor mount may not be able to support it. I say go to the 1415 motor instead of the 1515.

    We're you able to transfer the Pinon on the stock motor to the brushless motor? Or did you use a different pinion?

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před rokem

      @leeheadley7064 I used a different pinion. the shaft size of the new motor is larger than the size of the stock motor. If you are using the same size shaft between both motors you can reuse the pinion.

    How big is this truck compared to others sharp looking. Good video

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety +1

      @Robert Longley As a crawler, bigger than my 8th scale crawlers. As a MT, I tried this body on my Cen Colossus XT and it fits. The Colossus some would say 7th scale-ish.

    Locking the rear diff may help alot with side movement under throttle. And maybe a sway bar.

    • @ReadySetRC
      @ReadySetRC  Před 3 lety

      @Shannon Vance I may have to look into the locking the rear diff, just got to see how that will act when cornering. As for the sways, they come on this beauty stock.
