Hello Kent, I think what Ballard has done by bringing everyone back may just work out, if you take the New England patriot days when they were successful, they pretty much kept everyone in tact, in stead of letting players go and playing this juggling game with players. they all know their roles.i still don’t believe it was a good idea of getting rid of moss, but it is what it is. have a great day, Kent.!
When the roster succeeds, keep the players. Colts have failed to make the playoffs three years running.
Colts could be like this years Pacer team. Stay under the radar and reach the AFC divisional playoffs or Championship game. If they all are healthy and play hard.

Top level free agents are not a thing. Top level players never make free agency. If you want top level talent, you have to draft it - which is a lot of research and a good coaching staff and a lot of luck.
Every once in a while, a dynamic FA can be had. Most often - you are right. There is a reason former employees are former employees.

Ballard builds a team like someone who knows nothing about football because he doesn't.
You spend money/picks in QBs cause you gotta get it right and you develop backups. Spend money at LT, pass rushers, maybe a dominant interior DL and DBs who can cover.
You find interior OL, wrs, lbs and rbs in free agency or draft.
And what does Ballard do? He pays huge money to guards, centers, rbs, lbs. Ballard is why I started rooting against colts
Ballard has been less than eager to adjust, but this is a year that could pay off - if Richardson stays healthy.
Ballardis known as a nice guy. Thats it…..and all the other GMS will say he is good because he is NOT a threat to them at all….so they will stroke him and all of you to the highest order.
I don't know anyone who invests in the assessment of rival GMs.

Why would I apologize to Ballard? The list as I discovered was the number of 2023 Pro Bowlers - which is more relevant that a 2021 Pro Bowl invitation. My apology is to viewers I confused briefly.
Ballard does his best, and inside the top 40 is not a bad drafter. Buckner cost both the 13th overall pick AND a huge extension. The draft pick would have come with a very manageable rookie contract. Not a bad deal at all, but it wasn't a straight 1st rounder for Buckner. There was more to it.
