Calm, soothing, and very relaxing I'll say.
The artist's piano works are truly marvelous, giving this theme an emotional vibe. Sad and peaceful this song is, this song probably rates as my top favorite song on piano among the Stage 2 boss themes. Nevertheless, it's truly a beautiful arrange of Mystia's Theme.
Listening to this arrange, the first thing that pops into my mind is a youkai, namely Mystia Lorelei, alone in a field surrounded by water (I'm not sure how to describe this, but the illustration shows it otherwise) gazing up into the starry night skies, with the moon shining down upon her. I can definitely see her singing her heart out, trying to rid the pain of loneliness.....The song of the night sparrow, alone in an unknown field in Gensokyo.
Searched high and low for a suitable picture that fits this particular arrange. After several hours of searching, I happen to chance upon this. It's the closes I can get to what I had in mind. Needless to say, it (sorta) fits what I had envisioned when I heard of this song.

I find it touching to note that female sparrows tend to sing only when their mate dies.
Tweets well then mystia must be singing all the time for her mate who probably died from sickness or a predator.

many birds have a lifetime partner , usually when it dies they dont get another one
Mystia may be singing for her dead mate, who died from a group of human hunters that happened to see and kill him out of fear. That might be the reason why she's terrorizing humans so much ---to get revenge on them by scaring, killing and then eating them, with the added bonus of humans being tasty to her.

Gotta say, this is definitely one of the most special videos on this site for me. I've come back to this video so many times for so many reasons. It's filled with so many memories. Memories that I've absorbed and grown from, memories that are starting to get all foggy, and more likely than not memories that have already faded. Still, this song will never fade. It will always remain. If not on this site, if not in my cloud folders, if not even in my memories, it will be in my soul. I don't know if I'm insane for thinking this since after all, some people view objects and characters as friends or even parts of them, but I think that with all the time I've spent coming back to this video whether for leisure, distress, or otherwise I truly believe that this video, which is basically just an mp3 file and a jpg, is a key part of my life and by extension; my soul. So thank you to the people involved with Touhou. Thank you Studio A' and everyone else associated with the creation of this song. And thank you, kkcwkoh, for uploading this. This video didn't necessarily "save" my life in the traditional sense but if life were just a game, then this would be my "save point".
haha, this melody does generate some strong emotions eh? no matter how many words we all write, nothing can describe it. Languages are so poor compared to music, it's like trying to sing using sign language.

This was one of the 1st and 1st touhou remixes that reminisced with me and somehow it and the comments allowed me to show sorrow in a beautiful soft way to expressed again instead of taking it bluntly. I don't know but this song punctures my imagination again and along with the rest that came with it. Basically I can feel it as well.
I know barely anything about Touhou but the more I listen to this song the more I feel like crying . . . it's just so beautiful.

Very emotional... I picture it as many things. I imagine someone telling another person how depressing their life has been, and how much they've craved to escape it forever... yet things are holding them back. I imagine that they say they've never enjoyed life, and never knew, and the only life they did ever enjoy is now gone forever and out of reach... never to be that way, ever again. I imagine the person being told this is now speechless and unable to comprehend that someone as seemingly happy as that would really have such a sad life story, and still to this day be that distressed and dissatisfied with his life. All he may ever experience is nostalgia, he's in a never ending cycle of remembering how his life used to be, and then sadly realizing that it will never be that way for the rest of his life...

Touhou has a fanbase that almost nothing can reproduce, it has such a huge content from fans.
This by far is the best piano I have ever heard of her song, it actually makes me cry inside (not going to say more on that matter). It lets us see the side of her that isn't often portrayed, the side that is alone...

I thought this was the best one, it's a very melancholic, tear to your eye piece. Lots of other people obviously love it as well, so I guess that why we all would appreciate the sheet music. Yes, there is a FLAC for this. Google khinsider and then search for "borderline" in the search bar. You'll have to make an account but you should be able to obtain the entire album in FLAC format.
I would not say that i am an avid fan of Anime, hell, i recently discovered that Touhou is a game, but i came across your videos searching for sheet music and i would like to play this particular arrangement.

Have you tried contacting Factory Noise & AG themselves? If they themselves haven't released it then you should ask them for it.

Awesome Atheist Caramel I still haven't, and I'm still looking! I may just end up contacting them...Justin Ang's sheet music is not the same as this, unfortunately. It's very watered down, this is much more complex.

Actually they can. I've done some arranges of my own that I haven't written down that could definently be played by ear. This is one of those arranges you can play by ear, or do you not have the ability to? I know I can because I played a few notes of a song one time without getting out the sheet music. So stop saying they can't, they have every right to not give you sheet music.
