If you knew anything about USC football,Clay Helton was the worst coach in the history of the program. LR was Hired in December with a month to recruit. He Inherited the lowest rated recruiting class in USC history ranked in the 60s. So yes USC is still building in year 3. This will only be LR 2nd full recruiting class for 2025.

3-5 years? Pete turned the program around in Year 2, and the cupboard was just as bare when Hackett left as when Helton left. If you know how to build a complete program and that includes recruiting, S&C program, approach to practice, and the quality of your coaching staff a program like USC can bounce back quickly. In fact, it's easier today due to the transfer portal. If you're a head coach and your entire emphasis is on one facet of football (passing offense) it's not going to work. Riley has to change ihs approach to almost everything. Shedding Grinch and bringing in a new defensive staff is a start, but let's see if he can become a complete head football coach.

I love how Lincoln Riley is 90% of the content on any OU fan's feeds. They're obsessive beyond reason with a guy they apparently never liked...Maybe it's because Riley took over a rock-bottom program and is already 19-8 at USC with a Holiday Bowl, Heisman, conference title berth, and 11 draft picks while facing 13 teams that finished top-25. Burnt Vegetables took over a CFP level program and is 16-10 with no bowl wins, no Heismans, no conference title berths, and only 8 draft picks while facing 8 teams that finished top-25. You’re nuts dude. He’s so bad he turned a 4-8 team around in a single year and gave SC its 8th Heisman year one. His only sin is not leaving Grinch in Norman. I can’t wait till this season starts so all of you USC haters and media casuals eat some crow.

Lincoln Riley just does this he will make very calculated statements because if everybody just buys in for 1 more year its worth at least 20 million Dollars to him lol Lincoln Riley will dictate to each coach which players they can Recruit and which ones that they cant he made Grinch the scapegoat lol At Oklahoma 3 years after lincoln Riley left we have replaced most of his players and everyone of them were terrible inept players ! his players said that the strength coach was like Jazzersize compared to what they have now lol And he insist on very light no contact practices you are on the right track ! No i publicly called for Lincoln to Resign a year before he did because i could see his rediculous speal.....Mark My word USC Will Drop 6 games this year
