I think he’s very very good. He doesn’t have any crazy gimmicks like some of the other top characters besides his revive, but his revive is enough especially in a meta where no one really has a way of surviving big hits (except 17).
Are you really saying the 17 is thebest tank against goku when 17 is blu and gokku green? Did you also forget that gogeta ultra exists and he completelly nullifies goku's blast and special? That alone makes me understand how good you are with the scalings and why you said that goku is "very very good" when he is almost garbage.

I felt that people trashed on him mainly because he didn't bring anything new to the table, rather a repetition of pre existing elements. But still, he has a revive mechanism and has an unique gauge after he revives, which is a decent one at that. Only thing I felt he was missing was that he could rather have the element null after he revived for a longer time to ensure he lasted longer and more efficiently in the battlefield. Nevertheless, he deals good damage post all buffs pre revival and does excellent damage with the revive. Also he can stall with his unique gauge and has a broken blue. All in all, a 8.5/10 character. Probably top 5 individually. I would still place ugb, beast and probably tag 4s above him. Is in the league of 17 or lower.

You know with all the crazy things other units do this simple Goku really changes the game phase to like a base legend experience like just a normal LF that is not so annoying to play against and not that CD razy that can one shot you team he still strong but at least he well balanced

The crazy part is that no matter if ur third unit is ui or hit uni rep is still the best team purely cos of 17 and roshis insane utility. I’m fully expecting the best team in the game to be 17 roshi and tag goku and Frieza once they drop cos ain’t no way 17 and roshis utility is being powercrept this quick.
Also disagree big time with wat goresh said about ui being the 2nd or 3rd option ur gonna pick for a long time. For anni we’re all expecting tag goku and Frieza and they will defo replace ui cos u can’t replace roshi and 17. On god ki ugb and zamasu r still ur best 2 and if they drop an mui plat or something then they’ll most likely replace ui. If we don’t get any god ki buffs till anni then sure but at the very least ultra vb will replace this goku on god ki. Also disagree with how quick he’ll age, I think the moment he leaves boost he’s fked cos he’s just a damage dealer yet in his post revival state he doesn’t go neutral anywhere and ugb ain’t leaving any time soon. He’s already paper and cos he doesn’t offer crazy utility he’s gonna age once he’s off boost he’s fked, maybe even before depending on what they release. He looks rlly fun tho and I’m glad he ain’t a toxic unit cos they easily coulda made him mui mixed with prime revhan
