- Join me on a magical snowy trek through frosted forests to witness the mighty 286ft Salt Creek Falls transformed into a frozen winter wonderland. This solo adventure involves a peaceful 1.2 mile road hike to reach the iconic waterfall, since the viewpoint road is closed during winter.
The payoff is jaw-dropping drone footage offering an eagle-eye perspective of the massive frozen cascade in its full glory. Up close, you can feel the power of thousands of gallons of water surging over the partially frozen waterfall. The surrounding snow-covered forest creates a serene winter scene far from the crowds. I don’t go on snow adventures very often but perhaps I should go on more as they are so often so beautiful! Perhaps I should have wore snowshoes but mad it work with the trekking poles alone somehow ha ha!
