- Mitch Gallagher sits down with Charlie, Johnny, and J-Dog from Hollywood Undead. On tour in the USA and then Europe, they were kind enough to stop by Sweetwater to check out our facility and join us for this interview.

This guy knows how to do a proper interview. He actually does a lot of research on all the bands he interviews
Yet (if I'm not mistaken) he got Charlie and jonny mixed up
@@gin9ernut I think that might have just been him mixing up the ordering of his words rather than actually thinking Johnny was Charlie or vice versa.
They should have WAY more fans. There extremely amazing!!
i saw them live 4 days ago and became an instant super fan, they are absolutely amazing
they've been getting a lot of new fans lately because of TikTok
Like this if you guys noticed he called Johnny Charlie, and Charlie Johnny...
Tru
They all look like different versions of the same person
Sunglasses are peculiar, indeed
lmao
When you choose the same character in Mortal Kombat.
Money change people. H.U was a lot better with Deuce. Im not a fan anymore of this band. Im focusing on From Ashes to New.
Jacket, shoes, hat, sunglasses.
The best part of Hollywood undead is the huge variety on the songs. Love the mix of softer songs, harder songs, and hip hop type on music
I like Hollywood Undead and all of their songs
Same
Agreed
this is without a doubt the best interviewer Hollywood Undead has ever talked to, it's a god damn treat to listen to, and a breathe of fresh air from all those other interviewers that ask the most generic questions that they've answered millions of times. this guy is actually going into specific details about how their sound has evolved and asking questions that you'd only have if you had an actual appreciation for the band you're talking to.
Best HU interview I've seen. Well done
Thank you for watching, Joseph! 🤘
I don't understand why they mean. Are they so far up there in their heads, they think their everything will be for everyone? I mean, I wouldn't go somewhere & go into full detail about why I don't like something. I might simply say I don't like it. But it's rare. Like, I don't like post Malone's face tats. But I see it as if he was a buddy of mine, would I say that to his face? Yeah, bc he's my buddy & don't want him to go out looking like a fool & I know he'll get sh for it. Which he does. But good thing he's a rapper & he can do that. But it's his face, not mine. I know that's a little different but it's still his art, the way he expressed himself. Do some musicians not remember when they were fans? Did they like every song by every artist they listened to? And what if that artist was like, "well do you play? Are you famous? No? Then your opinion isn't valid." & They.Were.a.fan. wow, crushed. Your own fans can't have an opinion w/out you being a douche? Those same fans that support you & made you big? The ones who kinda put you on blast & helped you w/ more exposure? Those opinions don't count? Replace Malone w/ Danny btw. Maybe that's not a good ex. Here, ex:I like Linkin Park. I grew up listening to them. I know songs here & there throughout their times. Throughout their experimental switch ups.& I can deal w/ switch ups. My taste is all over anyway. I have two shirts of theirs. But do I know every song they've ever made & love it? Follow them around the world? See em every time they're in my state? Nope. I don't socialize that much outside of work, but I mean, -life. Was I supposed to be that obsessed, then only would I be considered a "true fan?" Define true fan... Also, once my comment got deleted on a Hollywood undead video bc I didn't think they completely wrote a song by themselves. The credits literally said they didn't. Why would they even get mad about that?
Edit: I now realized I commented on this twice. Bc I Didn't realize I already saw it :/. Can't help it if yt likes to contiously recycle things I've already watched.
Favorite Line from Hollywood Undead
J-Dog Quote from 2017
"You gotta draw the line though because if you listen to like managers or like other labels or whatever, there like "You guys need to be posting everyday like post about yourselfs" , like i'm not a reality star.
I don't need to tell people what I had for breakfast. I'm a musician."
I felt this so hard..
I’ve noticed that J3T seems to not be able to sit still whereas Charlie seems really chill and laid back while J-Dog seemed more professional than the other two.
Johnny Egboi Johnny probably has adhd I have it and do the same
Johnny is a coke head, coke heads don't like being still
@@jewelrunner8618 your name sounds familiar like an Eminem lyric?
@@RieeBellaHoney indeed it is
@@jewelrunner8618 Earl Sweatshirt reference. That's a dope song by Em.
I've been listening to Hollywood Undead since 2010 and I love every song these guys make I've been listening to them for 10 years and I'm positive that I ain't gonna stop any time soon
you still listening?
I used to jam HU in like 2005 but out grew them after American Tragedy. I feel like that was their last HU type vibe. This new HU is okay but it just doesn't hit them same.
I feel like a proud mother. So proud of em
Amber Reyes Same I remember when I was listening to the kids and Christmas in Hollywood 😂
Great Interview, good questioning by the interviewer, fantastic band. Looking forward seeing you guys in Munich.
Yeah, it'd be boring if they wrote another album similar to one like before. The most famous one to be rewritten is Swan Songs: it wouldn't be surprising if they made another album like that, just deal with the music change. I love Hollywood Undead, and Five is such a great album 💘🙏💘
they wont they dont have deuce the reason that album did so well was cuz deuce wrote most of the songs lol
Johnny 3 Tears personally Five is my favorite album, though I love all the songs.
why without danny&funny man all time?
I think Danny doesn't like interviews, if you look at the ones with Danny you'll notice he's really serious.
random-ass comments right like when I was watching an interview when they were live and they all had their notes from the underground masks he was serverly serious
@Hannah Hampton yeah I don't think they like interviews cuz I just watched an interview that was Johnny, Charlie, and j-dog, and now I'm watching one that's the same thing so yeah
they aren't big on interviews
This guy was awesome
These guys are so amazingly talented at all aspects of making an performing their music ive seen them live 3 times an i just cant get enough one of the best bands around to see live you really dont get a good idea of how great they are until you see them in person love these guys lime no other hope they come back around again they just keep getting better every new album
Johnny’s foot is the real MVP of this interview.
Omg, j-dog's voice cracks so much
Lol yeah
I think it's because he's usually the one that does the screaming in the songs, it might be, it might not be
I think it adds more to live shows though, so say if he's doing his verse that is quite aggressive or really sensitive it kind of makes it sound more meaningful if that makes sense
I love this band because every song is different.
I used to be a huge Hollywood Undead fan in the late 2000's early 2010's.. so weird seeing them in an interview without the masks.
Was JUST thinking that.
It's unfortunate.
Omg what a good interview one of the best of them
I thought their best album was American Tragedy based on creativity, lyrics and success, but the only problem was it was boring at times because they just weren’t as good then as they are now at flow switching and just flowing in general. If they were to make a new version of an old album I’d say that one. I don’t mind the poppy sound as long as it’s done well. They did it well but they’re so much better now so it’d be interesting to hear.
What a great interview. Finally some questions that are interesting. We don't learn anything about the artists we like by knowing how their tour went like normal interviewers usually ask about.
Really inspiring interview
Johnny’s my favorite I wanna get my picture taken with him
Nothing but respect for the interviewer.
This is there best interview imo
Has he mistaken Charlie and Johnny at the beginning?
Yeah, he did
I love you guys! All your music is awesome! J3T you are my god 💙💙💙💙
bro i jus love they music T^T
"Strategically placed songs" *looks at notes from the underground*
Great interview! I was going to see them in Fort Wayne but couldn't get off work early. It's a 3 hour drive lol
i wouldve quit
I love your band, but I ESPECIALLY love your new record.
The interviewer did a great job
Nice to hear your voices after all this time im a accequantence
He did seem into the process. The guy likes his employment.
Every single time I hear them say they play with In This Moment my heart sours because bitch, these are my two favourite bands!
Awesome guitar you have Mr sweetwater
My father order from you awesome stuff! My dad Thomas does .
The bridge is where the hit comes from the formula my dad created was azing and cool!
Learning to be different is a good thing . The screamo/metal/hip-hop genra
These guys are still dope as shit. Keep it up
I listen to these guys about 12 years of my life I want a tattoo of them
Does anyone know what kind of jacket Johnny is wearing? I really like it :D
6:48 J3T is is so accurate
Rise above the hate cause I lova ya guys
To criticize is to make ya a better musican!
Charlie Scene 👍🏽 Johnny 3 Tears 👍🏽 J-Dog👍🏽
Why can't we see more of Danny and funny man
That's why I like J3T so much. He's into heavier stuff
Y'all coming to Dallas soon ?
John Cowboy check the website
Is J-Dog okay his voice keeps cracking I’m worried o-o
Max Bartolone doesn’t matter anymore!
Is Johnny wearing NMDs? Or HQTs
Caleb Garcia yes
They all dress the same.
#squadgoals
what they are acting serious? :p
Nine Inch Nails!!!!!!!!!
I can do a lot you can’t do lmao
I hate all their songs but love all of their albums.
Quick question. What does this mean?
That old guy just seemed so out of place compared to the band... lol
Right on
6,666 views for me.
Could they be talking about Deuce??🤔
Hayden Humpherys i thought they were blasting atilla 👀
Lol that was like 9 or 8 years ago get over it
Lol
I dont get how they put themselves out there but dont like constructive criticism. Like, i know sh hurts ppls feelings but have they not built a thicker skin by now? I know i dont just outright say sh like ure such a loser & you suck type sh. Like, some songs, i just dont vibe with.I know they didnt ask but then again, they put themselves out there. To be heard... im really not trying to be a smartass, & be all annoying & sh but this is a general thing. Musician or not. Everyone isnt always gonna like you. & Or in their case, all their songs. I am pretty miserable, but a lot of ppl r completely capable of being miserable too. You know? Like maybe im that one commenter... :/. Its not out of jealousy, insecurity, hating, some overcompensation type thing. I dont make music, i dont plan on it. But im not envious. Id h8 to be famous... id just want to be famous for the money but w/out the attention. But im pretty sure that, thats not how things work. But am i not allowed to have an opinion? No? Ok.... like, they cant seriously look back and think sh like yep, that pigskin song? Thats so deep bruh. Such massive appeal... i know all the girlies will like it! So profound! Thats gonna be the one that lingers, sticks around in ppls heads & hearts for yrs to come.... & that lion song? I still think it sounds like a creeper. I Know Its Not about a peeping tom. It just Sounds like it. So if i like some of their other songs, havent heard of all them tho, am i not a "real fan?" I didnt realize they were that sensitive. But i dont really go around all their songs making rude comments either. Sh more along the lines of what i just typed. At least in my mind, i dont think im being rude... :/.
Dude, what? I'm trying to read your essay but it's all over the place.
Where’s funny man???
