- Built and designed by husband and wife Bong and IDr. Rossy Rojales, the R House exudes their personal styles. After designing hundreds of homes for clients at Hurray Design (which celebrated its 15 years in the industry), the Rojales couple experimented with unique forms and color for their own bolthole in Tagaytay. Inspired by the black barn house on The National's album cover of "Sleep Well Beast", R House's form explored a modern take of the barn house using the same black metal cladding as used on the gabled roof.
Equipped with a jacuzzi pool for the chilly Tagaytay evenings and a music room full of vintage ware to play vinyl records, R House is meant for easy weekends away from the busy city life.

The roof overhang bearly bigger than the roof ❤now you need the roof to side ❤
This house feels so cozy. I love it. Very simple in design but the details are very meticulously well thought out. The pieces blend together and yet they stand out individually. I would love to live in this home. ❤
I totally agree! Thanks for watching!
Love everything in this house✨⭐️ the design, color, furniture, garden

Finnoys here, great Scandic feeling
That little side yard you've got there will be nice and sunny until somebody comes along and builds a 2-story house RIGHT FRIGGIN NEXT TO IT.
Beautiful house! 😍

You have a great taste in music
0:04 nice! Technics SL1200 turntable. I own 4 brah 👍
v cool.
is it practical to have metal cladding in a tropical climate? won’t it absorb and keep heat for a long time? dark colors do not repel heat. this a great example of ”just because you can, it does mean you should”.
N to the O. lol! They even chose a black shade! We learned in elementary science that metal is an excellent heat conductor and it is a no brainer that this building material is popular in cold Scandinavian climate. Tagaytay still get a lot of sunlight cos guess what? It is still in the Philippines!
🤣
On the inside, as long as it's well insulated then everything will be fine. But i do agree, especially on the exterior, that material does give off a lot of heat.
Nice it’s like Japanese house ❤
I was thinking of using roofing material to cover my firewall as I am having problems with leaks but I was told it is not advisable as it can be blown by the winds/typhoon after some years.
Hmm. It shouldn’t be blown away if installed correctly. Look at our very first episode as they also used roof tiles to clad the exterior of the home.
Nice house. What did you use for the wood toned wall by the entrance and the dining? It matches perfectly with the kitchen and interior doors!
They used luxury vinyl from Tajima PH.
Beautiful home... horrible site.
Happy to see the JBL's!
What a beautiful, well designed house. I love how you maximized the space. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
P.S. May I know who the artist of the murals is? I love how it gives the interior a splash of color. Thank you.
Thank you!!
The one hanging in the dining area is by Luis Lopa. The pink one on the floor is by Mikko Baladjay. The house shaped one is by Kim Borja.
@@designwillsavetheworld Thanks so much. More power to you and yours. Cheers!
What is the material of outdoor skin of the house
They used metal.
Pero ung parking space, kinain pa nila ung sidewalk.
gaya gaya sa kami house lol
Hi! The R House was built during the pandemic and was completed early last year :)
mmmmmm … plastic grass …. and a black house during Global Warming (sustainable … yeh)
The climate change agenda is a huge scam for a massive transfer of wealth (tax payer’s money), power and control. No data to back up global warming claims. People need to wake up, you’re being conned.
Agree with the plastic grass bit but global warming?!! The globe has been warming since always sometimes less and sometimes more in CYCLES. People seem to forget that everything that happens on this planet goes in cycles, not linear. And no, i am not excusing certain humans that been exacerbating it.
What is unsustainable about dark siding?
@@marilynnishimura6999 it ABSORBS heat … the planet is WARMING due to our negligence .. we don’t need to trap more heat !!… and what does
plastic grass do for the environment / micro-climate / insects etc
@@thisricardopalma do you enjoy being ignorant, or is it an accident? The science is well past settled - at EVERY LEVEL - the planet is going through rapid and disastrous anthropogenic climate change .. we are losing entire species at over ONE PER DAY .. THIS IS NOT A CYCLE … a cycle would take hundreds of thousands of years .. we have wrought destruction in a matter of decades !
get rid of that ugly fake grass. ASAP
