If you're having trouble with the transfers, even on a textured surface, try adding a water based clear coat on that area and let it completely dry first. That should make it much easier for the transfer to stick. That might even work with the silk screen ...
Thanks for the tip I will try this and see how it turns out!! The silkscreen issue was because of the density of the gilding wax but I saw where someone used the stuff to make screen printing easier and plan on testing that in the future as well.
