- Here we are again, outside that lil' old cabin, playing "Dough Roller Blues" by Sonny Jones.
Sonny Jones was a North Carolina player who recorded four titles in the mid-late '30s. I liked the song cause there's a very unusual mysterious chord between verses. The song basically focuses on the topic of making bread, although it could also be talking about something else... ;)
washboard being one of my instruments I really enjoy the simple, stripped down style of your washboard player. it’s rhythmically true to the tune and is *very* clean and uncluttered. kudos!

This is the medium size, there's other brands but these are fantastic.
That SR80 sounds great! What is your signal chain, if you don't mind me asking? Are you using a vintage mic stand? Those mics can be a pain to mount... Well done!
Hi, I adapted the mic to fit on a modern stand, it captures the sound and goes directly to a portable zoom recorder. Thats all. Thanks!
