Fun fact the Minnesota accent has roots from the Nordic languages mainly from Norwegians and Swedes if you were to compare them they sound similar.
A stranger in Chicago needed to go to the airporrt tp meet someone. He asked a man tn the street, who said "You're Swedish, aren't you? I can tell by your accent."
"No," he responded. "I'm Norwegian. But I've been sick."

I did a project on Norway and it was very interesting, plus my dads family is Norwegian! I would rather learn how to speak Norwegian than Spanish, but Spanish is what my school offers so... btw 2019 anyone? Woodpecker176 Yes, she has an accent and it sounds a little bit like Bavarian\Austrian accent to me. Sometimes it is noticeable, sometimes not. Norwegian is a Germanic language, may be because of that it sounds like she has Bavarian accent when she speaks English.

I have never went to Norway once, but I am Norwegian on my mother's side.. I wasn't born with the accent but I wish I was, It's lovely ☺️. My grandfather was Norwegian and my grandmother was Scandinavian, I also never spoke a single word in Norwegian until I got +Babbel, an app that helps you learns different languages around the world.
