I have a friend who was a lesbian before she went straight. Her and her mate at the time adopted her sisters children whom are 26 and 31 years old. Both of them addressed that it's a sin like any other sin. They would say they were hypocrites because they taught the children that homosexual was wrong blah blah blah and told them their story. They were so protected over them so they wouldn't have a chance of being molested. They raised them to be straight. They would bash themselves to the children. They said they wanted people to know lesbians can raise straight children. Her son got married a few months ago and his family will be here in February. The daughter has a boyfriend. And stay connected if possible. But there's a good chance to be considered homophobic because of your stance. But you cannot perform this ceremony. You're condoning the behavior. Great topic ! We are in the last days. It is coming down to where you can’t tell the church from the world who knows God may be able to do a miracle. I keep thinking about when I was living in the world. I was a hot mess and I had to be taught how to dress appropriately. I’m praying for all of them. I believe in miracles and God can save every last one of them. I don’t believe in baby baptism, because babies cannot confess sin, but dedicating the baby to God, I do believe in it. I don’t support William Murphy or same sex marriages; however, there was nothing wrong with William Murphy praying over the baby and dedicating him to God. The child did nothing wrong, he didn’t commit any sin, the mothers did. Thats just my opinion.

I have a friend who was a lesbian before she went straight. Her and her mate at the time adopted her sisters children whom are 26 and 31 years old. Both of them addressed that it's a sin like any other sin. They would say they were hypocrites because they taught the children that homosexual was wrong blah blah blah and told them their story. They were so protected over them so they wouldn't have a chance of being molested. They raised them to be straight. They would bash themselves to the children. They told them the only difference between them not wanting them to be gay than a straight couple was they wouldn't shun them, put them out, could relate but wouldn't agree with it. They said they wanted people to know lesbians can raise straight children. Her son got married a few months ago and his family will be here in February. The daughter has a boyfriend. There are couple's in a lesbian lifestyle who doesn't want it passed down.

We have baby dedications at my church. We are following the example of Jesus who was dedicated at the temple when he was 8 days old.
That child will still need to be exposed to biblical teaching. In the Bible, Israel had God reverancing system in place. People dedicate babies all the time, then never return to regular service. In this case, they're actually rejecting God by their chosen lifestyle. One of the two are actually conflicted.
Jesus was circumcised when He was 8 days old. He came back about 40 days later because of law. Mary has purification requirements and since she had a son the law says, “Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy before the Lord.” And to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord.

I am not sure what the issue is with baby dedications. Babies were presented to God throughout the Bible. Yes, there is an issue with the parents being the same sex but nothing wrong with bringing that baby to be blessed.

One of the best things we can do as individuals when it comes to tradition or rituals is to ask why and then seek out the answers before following suit.

The church is to follow the Word of God. The Bible warns us in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 not to give the very appearance of evil.
THE CHURCH SHOULD HAVE WHAT IS CALLED "BY-LAWS." The by-laws of EVERY Biblically sound Church should INCLUDE:
THE CHURCH will not recognize or accept Same sex unions or allowed God's sacred House of Worship to be used in this manner, etc. THIS A LEGALLY BINDING GOD APPROVED DOCUMENT...
Sit down with them and explain to them how contrary this is to scripture. And that unfortunately we can't perform this ceremony. But have an opportunity to pray for them. And stay connected if possible. But there's a good chance to be considered homophobic because of your stance. But you cannot perform this ceremony. You're condoning the behavior. That's why the role of a Pastor is very challenging. And you have to be steadfast and unmovable to be God's shepherd. Hope this helps?
What steps the Church should take is to open up Romans Chapter 1, read it to them where God calls their union Abomination and then say bcuz of what God's Word says about ur unnatural union, the Church cannot perform this.
