    Thank you for waiting four weeks to show us how to properly do a backfill/rebalance. Most people usually wait three to four weeks between services. Perfect timing.
    Dry e-file manicures have changed my nail life!. I used a ball bit for my current manicure. My cuticles look perfect!!. Now, I just need to perfect painting so I do not get flooding. Lol

    When you said: "...this might be enough incentive to get you to become a nail technician." - honestly, Light elegance was the tipping point for me! I was watching all those pretty glitters and couldn't buy them and was sooo frustrated because yeah, there are other glitters and then there are LE glitters. One day, last year, after winter collection launch I finally flipped and now I am a nail tech and I have LE glittergel obsession. 😂

      I went for a basic gel coat and they couldn't even get that right. It lasted a couple days before chipping and I was so disappointed. She was telling me how it would last 2 weeks and help my nails grow. I was so mad! I got my own gel afterwards and haven't been back to the salon. My manicures aren't always perfect but I can still get more wear than a couple days.

    Another amazing video! Thanks for your sacrifice because when you said we’d see you fix your other hand I was like “😍” Backfilling and refreshing everything is really helpful to learn. And thank you for showing how to clean the undersides of nails. My nails are normally flat but when they grow out all of a sudden they like to curl and peel away from the edges. And it’s kinda satisfying to use a clear gel and see the polish color on the surface and underside of the nail, not gonna lie.

    • @chaozinga
      @chaozinga Pƙed 3 lety

      That usually happens because the nails are "dehydrated" from not getting enough moisture, if you're using cuticle oil regularly at least twice a day the nails stay flexible and doesn't curl away underneath, and it's also important to not expose the nails to too much water and dehydrating hand sanitizers etc, if you can't avoid it remember to use cuticle oil more often to keep the nails hydrated 😊 sometimes they do that anyway (curl away from the extension underneath) but then you at least know that you have done everything you can to prevent that đŸ„°đŸŒž

  • @rationalskeptic1
    @rationalskeptic1 Pƙed 2 lety +4

    Just a quick note about fluffy brushes. You can absolutely sanitize them!:) not in between each client because of dry time, but you can wash it like you would a makeup brush (soap and water below where it meets the metal part) then dip or spray barbicide, let sit for 10 mins, then rinse off and let dry. I don’t know if this works for natural hair brushes, but it’s just fine for artificial hair ones. Just thought I’d let others know it is possible (although a bit of a headache, yes) if they prefer using them. You’d have to have a lot of them to be able to use a different one for each client, and then have the brushes dry overnight.

    • @TheNailHub
      @TheNailHub  Pƙed 2 lety +2

      Hi yes you definitely can clean them but most state boards of cosmetology do not allow these to be used on clients because they cannot be cleaned properly between each client. Just keep that in mind.

    I just wanted to say thank you so very much for taking of your precious time to teach nail art. I have learned a lot in the few videos I have seen, and hope to learn more as I go. I am not a professional; nevertheless, I love the art expression in doing nails. I have been doing nails on myself for the past three years, learning little-by-little from other nail tutorials. Your videos, however, have been the most educational and detailed I have seen thus far. No one ever talks about lefties and left-handed bits, for example. I am a lefty, so I deeply appreciate that information. That is just one small example of the many things I have learned from you that have changed the way I do my nails for the better. People actually get upset when you say paint vs. polish?? If you want to get down to brass tacks, polish isn’t correct, either, as the substances are lacquers, not polishing compounds. Why debate semantics when we can just learn from a wonderful teacher? Let’s stay positive and appreciate the time and effort that goes into each video.

    If I build a perfect nail and I'm satisfied with the shape and thickness do I still need to finish file the whole nail even the surface of the nail before I put color on? Thank you, your videos are awesome and super informative ♄♄

      No! If you work your magic and the nail looks perfect the first time around, by all means skip the finish filing and go straight into your next layer of color or top coat or whatever. That's actually a great goal is to be able to do a nail perfectly like that when possible and move on! :)

    Great video! Do you recommend shortening the nail before or after (as shown in the video) product removal? Also, some day can you do a video on shortening and reshaping a almond shaped nail during a fill? Thanks so much for the information 💕 I always look forward to your videos on Mondays. I’ve learned so much from watching them that I didn’t learn when taking my initial course as a gel nail tech â˜ș
