      @@shubhang2877 Give yourself this Challenge. Everyday at a Specific time you make a Basic HTML and CSS website using only Notepad or Vim. No googling or anything. If you have a feature to implement Google about it the day before and Try to memorize how it's implemented.

    This is the most wonderfully horrific thing I've seen in a long time. It burns through CPU, crashes, has bugs, and quickly becomes annoying; but I am *definitely* using this. The other nerds are going to be so envious.

      Sadly the windows version is really unstable.. i suggest running it in a VM instead of directly in windows.

      I've never understood this attitude in computer users. My computers are for me to use, I could care less what someone looking over my shoulder thinks about my desktop. To me, a computer is a "tool" for getting work done and for entertainment, it's not a "fashion accessory" - buy "Snapple" products if you want something the matches the colour of the shirt you are wearing.

      @@alexwolfeboy I mean I use terminator which is more lightweight and robust, split the terminal layout as you see fit and theres your "hacking console" lol
      But I use linux, the terminal is extremely important in linux as a whole, OS X is designed for point and click

    Late to the party, but here's your StarTrek background noise:
    $ play -n -c1 synth whitenoise band -n 100 20 band -n 50 20 gain +10 fade h186400 1
    "play" is from the "sox" package; at least in Debian.
    You might have to adjust the gain; and be aware that, due to the very low frequencies, this isn't audible at all or sounds really bad on most cheap/laptop speakers. Use speakers with a decently large main driver.

    As a nerd, I appreciate the details that are often missed or even over-looked to the detriment of completeness.
    edex-ui is cross-platform, and not just a Linux Terminal App; the devs have spent a lot of time to make something that works on Windows, Linux, macOS, and since it supports the linux 32bit kernel, it can probably be ported to android NDK.

    Something you may want to watch out for - the on-screen keyboard mirrors input, even passwords, so you might want to disable the keyboard module if you intend to create more videos using this

    On Zorin OS, I like: KeepNote, you can store your class notes, TODO lists, research notes, journal entries, paper outlines, etc in a simple notebook hierarchy with rich-text formatting, images, and more. Using full-text search, you can retrieve any note for later reference. I keep everything from Order lists, Bible Quotes to Monthly Bank statements on it. Also Clipit, Clipboard manager with features such as: * Save history of your last copied items * Search through the history * Global hotkeys for most used functions. Goes hand in hand with KeepNote

    I immediately knew it from the thumbnail, lol, too bad it's electron...
    if you apply a few custom tweaks to the theme, it's awesome (I take the amber theme, add colors from another, hide the keyboard and globe, tweak the system info to display properly and not squished together, etc, makes it a lot better for actual use rather than showing off, since I don't have a touchscreen)

    I tried this - it's a little hard on the eyes being just white on black. If there could be a few toned down colors added for different sections it would relieve the strain. I loved that section in TRON Legacy where he wipes away the years of dust off the desk as monitor and this interface is revealed. Coolest thing ever back then. Hats off to the GUI designers back then.

    Just an FYI, but the IP address and the Latitude/Longitude show actual values, they're not made up numbers. The accuracy will vary, but posting a video of this information will allow people to basically see what city you live in and (obviously) what your IP Address is.

    Never had more difficult time installing something than this app. Tensorflow with GPU support takes less headache to install than this. Consider making it into a standalone executable (I know, its probably impossible with node)

      Yep! It's a password I only use for testing distros and video production stuff. I do believe you switch that setting off.

      @@jordanski5421 Good point. But I would define bloat as prettifying something too much, only for the sake of looking good, while not-thinking-about/sacrificing speed, efficacy and using unneeded resources.

      Has a 8-core, 32gb system. Worries about 37mb RAM and 0.01 cpu thread usage, calling it bloat 😹

    The keyboard shows your password (shadow75)? It's probably not worse than someone looking over your shoulder but it feels kinda wrong to always have your keystrokes displayed on screen like that.
    I haven't looked into this program at all though, so it might be a very easy disable. pretty cool looking :)

    Would be be interesting to do something like this in ncurses. There's a mouse daemon that allows you to use the mouse without X. Its almost too perfect.

    Be aware that it launches10 separate edex-ui processes that fluctuate between 13% and 47% CPU. So you won't be able to do much else while this thing is running.

    Thank you for the video very much been trying to make my linux like that for years . . I partially succeeded and I honestly still do not dare to upgrade my linux version because I don't want to lose the GUI I spend hours creating . . now I can !! The only thing missing is some 8-bit playlist
