  • Use this quick tutorial to learn how to replace a damaged diaphragm in a Timpano 2” Exit Compression Driver.
Diaphragms can get damaged, essentially, in two different ways:
    1. The voice coil can burn. This can happen due to excessive power, or due to distortion at any power level.
    2. The diaphragm can shatter. This can happen due to either distortion or when the high pass filter is too low. Either one can cause the diaphragm to move excessively, causing it to get in contact with the phase plug.
Needed Replacement Diaphragm and Repair Tools:
    • TPT-RPDH2000 Replacement Diaphragm* (timpanoaudio.c...)
    • 3 mm Allen Wrench
    • Tape or Post-it Note
*For original performance, use only authentic Timpano Audio replacement diaphragms.

I just bought a new amp, two weeks ago. The Timpano 1000.4.
The amp seemed like a good amp. Pushed 4 Pioneer M800 without problem (1 channel 1 speaker)
1 week later the amp acted funny. It would cut songs for like 1 second each time it would do it every 5 seconds for like 3 to 4 times.
Did all kind of tests, different car (incase of bad ground)
Different speakers (incase of speaker impedance problem)
Other amp works fine (Sony 4 channel)
One week later, tried the amp again as I didn't use the car during the week. The amp worked without problem, i thought it was fixed. But 30mins later the protection mode turned on and fans spins full. (the amp was warm, not hot)
Now each time I turn on its on protection with full fan.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. (sold previous amps to buy this timpano + 4 25cm" Timpano speakers)
I live in Mauritius and bought it new from a local shop here, and he doesn't supply me with warranty.

It does not matter which side the positive or the negative terminal is position!
