Great review. Just for information for anyone looking at these bikes, there were as mentioned in the video some changes in 2016, but it was more than the black frame. : 1. The airbox is now open all the time, no more flapper.2. Maximum output: 107 ps / 10, 250 rpm • Maximum torque upgraded to 7.9 kgf · m / 8,500 rpm .3. Muffler internal structure has been changed to a two-chamber structure from a conventional three-chamber structure to make it compact. 4. Equipped with an accessory socket rated to 12 V / 3A / 36 W as a standard in the left cowl section. 5. Change the air valves of the front and rear wheels to L type. 6. Adapted to automobile exhaust gas regulations in Heisei 28 years and changed the model name to 2 BL-RC 79. 7. WMTC mode fuel consumption value (Class 3-2) improved from 18.2 km / L to 19.2 km / L. 8. Mainframe / front brake disc hub · Front axle holder is unified in black. 9. Added digital silver metallic in addition to conventional Victory Red · Pearl Glare White · Darkness Black Metallic

Thank you for your video! I actually have a 2019 one and as you mentioned, the frame is black and has a charger in the left side. I pretty much have the same bike as you: SC Project conic exhaust (without the dB killer) and the OEM quickshifter), but I got the silver color one. I'll try to get the side paniers, but I do very short trips with it and in fact I use it more for commuting, than anything.
I got this bike after having an ugly accident with my 18-year-old VFR Fi.
I thought it would be my forever bike
I just loved it. What I feel is that the new engine, even with the new exhaust, is not as good. My older VFR had always engine available all the time.
But I feel the front 43mm fork and the breaks make the bike feel safer and more stable.
By today's standards it lacks some electronic goodies, like cornering ABS and riding modes, but it's a more than average bike and it has been very reliable so far. Just regular servicing and that's it. It never lets me down.
And the SC Project roar gives a new life to the V4. As for the engine vibrations, it's down to the V4. It's much more stable and balance than, for instance, a V2 (like the Ducati Supersport or Panigale V2).
I feel really sorry that Honda stopped producing this wonderful and beautiful bike.
Hopefully, they will make a new one in a couple of years, but given this electric madness, I honestly don't know what will come up.
Again, thank you for sharing your video.
    Cheers!

@@MotovlogUK if you have an opportunity try to ride the FI. It's the pre-VTEC, with gear-driven cams. The sound was so great and I never replaced the original exhaust on it. Mine was from 2001 and already had fuel injection without choke. The ergonomics are pretty much the same as yours, but you'll feel the engine has more life in it. Mainly, because it had the 4-valves per cilinder always on. I understand the idea behind the VTEC and in city traffic makes some sense, but on country roads... not so much.
My FI had 120k km and looked the same as when I bought her with 0km... Really miss the engine.
      Anyway, great bike! Enjoy it!
I need my kid to grow some years to go camping with him. Seems to be a perfect father-son moment.
Cheers and thanks you again for your videos!

I have a 2001 vfr RED Givi windshield with x-tra screen on top very good wind protection and let go of left bar and sit more up and get some wind. Also AGM straight bars from Germany ,very comfortable. PUT on 520 conversion chain 2 up rear sprocket, makes strong difference. Yoshamira Exhaust, gear driven cams. IT has soul and she really gets it. I'm 64 and ride all the time even down to 40 degrees.

It's a fantastic bike, gave my friend one 5 min go on it and he was smitten, within 3 weeks he bought a 2020 vfr identical to yours. hi dave, just re visited this video to watch your install of luggage, never bought with the bike from new due to the cost, just purchased 2nd hand complete luggage, had no idea, lol, but yep now got it how it all goes together. Spent a good 3 hrs cleaning and detailing the luggage, come up great. Food for thought for anyone buying 2nd hand, the key that fits the ignition fits the luggage , had to borrow the original key, then my honda dealer having to adjust the locks to fit my bike key, then can send original key back to the last owner.
