- We let the smoke out on this BOSCH GSB18V-1330C High Torque 1/2" Hammer Drill Driver. Not only do you get 1,330 in-lbs of torque, but you also get electronic features not seen on other drills. The anti-kickback feature shuts the drill down when it moves too quickly. Also, the angle feature displays a green light when you reach the preset angle.

The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer czcams.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS was just the tool I needed. I Use it to remove stuck bolts. If held at the right angle you can cut slightly into the bolt. Then turn the air hammer to where it will hammer the stuck bolt to unspin the bolt. Given a little practice it works great. This air hammer gives you the control needed to get the job done right. Very powerful yet still does not seem to have as much vibration as other guns I have used. One of the best I have gotten my hands on.
I just bought a Bosch today, now I can’t wait to use it!
That's a brand new drill and he was pushing extremely hard. That little bit of smoke was probably excess oil being burnt off. No big deal.
On other channels I've seen this drill go toe to toe with the new Milwaukee drill and DeWalt 999. Bosch's best drill to date.
It's definitely a great drill. I was surprised that the Driver mode wouldn't drive the screws further on the MAX clutch setting, but it did great with power. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviewsi think its because you had anti kickback on, if you turn it of i think you get more power
Just ordered this drill
Do a comparison vs Dewalt and Milwuakee please 🙏
Profactor tools are serious business. They can definitely stand on their own.
💯
Definitely good stuff. Thanks for watching.
Yes indeed. Bosch is finally in the power game.
@@Shoptoolreviews profactor vs pro core which one is more powerful
@@KHAXSI think it’s the same
Do you think you could compare the 3 Bosch hammer drill line up? Like the 755, 975 and 1330? Oh did you end up returning the 1330 for replacement?
Buen video, saludos desde mexico!!!👍🏻
Looks like a HAMMER DRILL DRIVER I could ADD to my collection for Drill FACE OFFS
I hate to see the material worked on wobble (along with the vise). When I am working on something, whether drilling, sawing, sanding or whatever, if my material shakes and wobbles, I figure out how to secure it better.
This drill does drill the big auger in 2 speed. Did you try turning the kickback control off?
Sometimes i hate to talk about it
But too much pressure on highspeed mode even with High torque drill was still not something that good
I know it just a stress or hardcore or even the Medium test for drill
But in Realife some times it doen't need to operate the tool at the highspeed just to get the jobs done quickly cause it can break your drill anytime
Agreed, it makes more sense to deliver the power in Low and get the job done consistently. However, everyone wants to know how much power, and how fast it is, in High. Thanks for watching.
What a unit!
I own some of their 12v tools,
not as powerful as the 12v red team but good tools nonetheless
Yes, BOSCH makes some great 12V and 18V stuff. Not always the most powerful, but they are usually very ergonomic, very smooth, and they get the work done. Very much German engineering. Thanks for watching.
Hi good review can you please tell me what is the maximum in newton meters
Bosch claims 150 tested at 80
Hi nice review i am having Bosch gsb 18v 150c combi drill do i have to upgrade if i what are the advantages of upgrading to 18v-1330cn please let me know
GSB 18v150c and the GSB 18v1330cn are exactly the same machine
same drill but from videos iv see bosch tools from eu seem to be better than the US version
why does smoke come out?
This drill makes the operator look bad (I’m assuming it’s the drill), but it looks like you are applying too much pressure which is why you keep slipping off the screw head and torquing your wrist when the bit jams. I’ll blame the drill
Yes drills don't that technology! I like simple.
He's no carpenter. Blaming the drill is being generous 🤣
Is that like a free feature? Free smoke?
The bigger the hole the slower the speed you should drill at.
damn man, was that on gear one? oh you said hi, does that mean gear 2? i see , yeah i dont use gear 2 i dont think hardly ever with my drills, mainly 1 the 550 rpm higher torque one.
he used speed 2 pretty much the whole video
DCD805 is the way to go!
Totally different segments. This competes with the 999.
But the 805 is a very balanced tool. Great performance for the size
Yes, the DeWalt 805 is a great drill. Thanks for watching.
I don't think I'd have been so generous about the fact that it started smoking on the third screw. If that had been my tool that I paid my own money for, It would be going back before you could say lickety split.
We do understand what you are saying. And, we would definitely recommend anyone that would purchase this and see smoke to take it back for a return. However, we wanted to be completely open about it, both showing that it smoked, but also that we never noticed a degradation in power or performance. We continued to use it after this testing, and we have yet to see any signs or trace of issues. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews That smoking is pretty typical for Bosch when it get hot for the first time, nothing to worry about.
Don't blame the drill. Blame the moron who hasn't a clue about the proper settings to use for the proper application
nobody says lickety split anymore. sounds so ancient and stupid
@@nomercyinc6783stupid is a big word for some!
Honestly, the actual fastening scenes were quite painful to watch. 😐😬 and bro for the Love of God let the tool do the work. Lmao.
Yeah he's clearly not the guy for testing drills.
That smoke could of just been dust, the drill may have sat on a shelf for some time
😮
Ups.! Smoke..!! 😢😮😮😮
12Ah for maximum performance of this drill.
not true you dont need the 12 ah for max performance on any bosch biturbo tool
You should never use high speed when driving large fasteners. Also you’re using the drill mode instead of using the screw mode. Drill mode is for drilling not for screwing fasteners, especially larger ones. That’s why you were getting smoke from the drill. You are straining the motor. Something it was not designed for.
Well said. 👏
so many other high torque and low torque hammer drills completed his vids without smoking or damaging, lol
@@haroldjones12 If it got damaged it wouldn't have done any more testing or at least show diminished performance.
Low torque drills won't sink a 7" screw in speed 2. Many high torque drills can sink 8" wood screws in speed 2, though.
It was definitely a bad showing but you can't base the driving capabilities of a tool based only on speed 2 when we all know full torque is only available on speed 1.
Moreover his testing varies significantly between drils. From screw size to bit size to speed selection, too many variables to tell if the same drills would do the tasks w/o smoking
@@engineer_alv i said "smoking or damaging" referred to as the tool itself not working anymore, i didn't say anything about the tool being broken lol
and the cheaper low torque hammer drills such as the kobalt next Gen even completed without letting out a bal of smoke just case the motor had stress on it 😂
Won't drive the screws in driver mode?
Good drill, bad driver.
Yeah, that was interesting. I'm sure it would drive 4" deck screws in driver mode, but not the large construction fasteners. Thanks for watching.
Speed 2 is suited for drilling. High RPMs, low torque
Speed 1 for driving. High torque, low RPMs
6" and larger screws will definitely require speed 1
That was very foolish use of a power tool!
Should've turned kick back off and tried it in high speed
1300 inch lbs isnt much at all.
Ummmm, I will stick with the Harbor Freight Hercules. I have to get used to saying that.😅
😂 this thing will bury that harbor freight
@@steffendetrick Yep you are right. When it burns the entire shop down with it from the fire coming out the back end of it.
@@Bamamike223 TBH, this thing has traded blows with the Milwaukee Gen 3, Gen 4, Makita's top of the line 18V and 40V as well as DeWalt's DCD999. This may have been a fluke, no smoke on those tests
Bosch is in a whole other class compared to the Harbor Fart drill. Not even close.
@@robertcasey3528 yes it is. I’m just a DIY guy my friend. The new Hercules line is perfect for me round the house. No need for me to pay the premium.
aaaaaahhh I’m firsttttt
Good reviewing but no thanks. Nothing on it seemed to work that great, especially for it's size. Smoking, didn't seem to have the power advertised. I'll stick with my Ridgid and Milwaukee's
Not impressed I’ll stay with the flex
This looks like a terribly average drill. Nothing special. I’ll stick with my Dewalt
I agree! Even though I like any tool if it does the job! I sure like the new dewalt tools. Do you have the 5ah powerstack yet?
@@jasonvandervalk3679 No - but I have about a dozen prior generation batteries that are doing fine. Everything from a small 1aH to 4aH. Not a single battery fails to hold a charge. But when using an angle grinder or other high power use tools, the batteries do run down quickly. I may have to obtain a power stack in the future
@@dustmaker1000 4AH is tiny compared to what they have now lol
