- How does Jia bring Mothra back in Godzilla x Kong's Ending? Jia's role in the Monsterverse was to awaken Mothra. Interestingly, the distress call from the Iwi was actually meant for her, not Monarch, thanks to her telepathic connection with the Iwi. While at school, Jia unconsciously sensed their distress signal, which gave her cryptic visions of future events. This signal led her and the main characters to the temple where the Iwi were waiting. However, none of the temple's inhabitants were able to revive Mothra; the prophecy stated that only an Iwi from Skull Island could do so. Since the rest of the Iwi were wiped out by a storm, Jia was the only one left with the ability to awaken Mothra. By fulfilling the prophecy and arriving at the temple, Jia succeeded in awakening Mothra, who then played a crucial role in uniting Godzilla and Kong. Jia's connection to Mothra mirrors the role of the twin fairies from the classic Toho films, who were essential in awakening Mothra. While the Monsterverse initially seemed to have characters like them in Dr. Chen and Dr. Ling, it seems Godzilla x Kong has chosen to give this role to Jia instead.

That’s the second egg we’ve seen, there’s still an egg somewhere up on the surface waiting to be hatched so we could potentially have two Mothra’s flying around.
The answer is a scene that was left out involving Mothra's egg being transported to the HE in the time period between GvK and this film. That was likely done to keep it safe with Monarch. Though it still doesn't explain the fact that Mothra was seemingly teleported to that location in the deeper HE.
The fact that was Kong’s first time seeing Mothra and it looked like he was thinking ‘I knew spiders has wings somewhere!’
I wished they brought back the twins as somewhat as main characters, would’ve loved to see them sing like in the original or something

Kind of a missed opportunity but the prophecy could have been that it required an Iwi of Skull Island and an Iwi of the Hollow Earth to awaken Mothra. There would have been two Iwi just as Shobijin (fairies) are twins.
Jia awakening mothra was pure plot convenience
In other words the monsterverse is the new mcu
I guess her tribe had special connection to certain monsters.
I initially thought of the Chinese lady in KOTM who we know has a twin and had a lineage of twins who knew of mothra and are currently in MONARCH, I thought that role was for them
Mothea is the only reason Godzilla didn't vaporise kong
The distress call wasn't for Mothra. It was for Godzilla. I mean there is an entire scene about this and this video still got it wrong. The Iwi people were worried about Kong finding the jailed titan Skar King and his minions and the fact that he had imprisoned Shimo. Skar King was imprisoned by Godzilla in Hollow Earth and Iwi knew he was the only one who can stop him.
Kong: "Hey, let me explain the situation."
To add, Mothra was essential to both Kong and Godzilla because she shares one or two things with either of them.

Would've been better if they brought Chen and her sister back since they had an obvious connection with Mothra. Wingard would probably prefer to completely retcon KotM.
