I have the original and had no idea there was another edition until I clicked on this video. And I did not back Ephemire, even though the art is stunning, because I know I won't use a deck with that much white space. I'm dark mode both digital and analog. The foiling on the new edition is very pretty and it's nice to know that it improves the shuffling and readability for some, but I think I prefer the original after watching you flip them side by side. The underwater theme that runs through the deck, how the figures are suspended in liquid with just the overhead lighting to illuminate them always struck me as powerful symbolic link between the conscious and unconscious and that is emphasized more for me in the original where the extra details have to be uncovered by shifting the card or one's perspective to catch the light and reveal them. Pips with feelings are my favourite as well and I didn't know how to describe that until I heard you say it in a video, so thank you!

If you not use a deck a lot you can’t just recognise pips- you have ether count or try to read text. So I’ve sold my deck. But now new edition feels like answer on my prayers 😂🙏🏼. I have ordered a new edition after your video. Thank you!
I have the original deck and just got the new one last week and I really prefer this new version! The foiling actually allows you to shuffle the deck haha the original is too difficult to shuffle properly. The foiling also allows you to see the special details on the majors! I always found it difficult to see them in the original deck. Also, I don't like the hard rose petal finish, and I dont think it should be used on decks that are meant to be used (books and boxes are fine). I've backed the new deck on kickstarter too, though I am a little disappointed that it will be using the same rose petal finish.
Those extra cards make great bookmarks, dont they? LOL. Re the deck...I thought i would love the new version but honestly would prefer a mix of the two... i prefer the older deck art because i think the holographic foil on the new version detracts from the stunning imagery. But i prefer the legible titles on the new version. Hmmm, 6th edition maybe? LOL

Agree, but hopefully, it won't have the same gloss as the OG True Black. If it feels like this anniversary edition, I'll be happy with it!

I can see that. Personally, I'll like the foil over the sticky gloss, but visually, I agree with you.
