The enigma of the Altiplano Giants
In the highlands of the Bolivian Altiplano, more than 3,800 meters above sea level, lies Lake Titicaca, a sacred body of water shrouded in mystery. On its banks, the ruins of Tiahuanaco stand like sentinels of a forgotten past. These remains, dating back more than 10,000 years, intrigue and fascinate historians and archaeologists from around the world.
Simone Waisbard, a passionate explorer and tireless researcher, devoted fifteen years of her life to deciphering the secrets of this ancient city. From 1950 to 1965, her explorations took her through Peru, Bolivia and Chile, where she gathered evidence and clues about this mysterious civilization. His discoveries shed new light on the origins and achievements of the people of Tiahuanaco, who appear to have possessed knowledge and technical skills well beyond their time.
In the center of Tiahuanaco is the monumental Gate of the Sun, decorated with intricate carvings and astronomical symbols. This imposing structure, believed to date from the 3rd century AD, is dominated by the image of the god Viracocha. According to Inca mythology, Viracocha is the creator of all things, often depicted with a puma mask and European features. The presence of this god in Tiahuanaco raises questions about cultural influences and exchanges that might have occurred in the distant past.
Waisbard's research has revealed some fascinating leads: legends speak of "flying men" and giants who inhabited these lands, suggesting advanced technologies and lost knowledge. In 1960, during underwater excavations in Lake Titicaca, sunken cities were discovered, confirming ancient accounts of submerged cities. These discoveries strengthened the hypothesis that Tiahuanaco was a major center of knowledge and influence in antiquity.
As we explore the ruins, we encounter the enigmatic “Stone Men” - colossal statues that demonstrate the artistry and technical mastery of Tiahuanaco’s builders. These figures, sometimes reaching up to 7 meters in height, add an additional dimension to the mystery of this civilization. Their size and distinctive style intrigue researchers, who wonder how such a feat was achieved with the tools of the time.
Each discovery in Tiahuanaco, each engraved stone and each unearthed artifact, adds a new piece to the puzzle of this ancient enigma. Simone Waisbard's work, along with that of many other researchers, continues to uncover a rich and complex past, while leaving many questions unanswered.

Je connaissais, comme bcp, le Lac Titicaca, mais je n'avais pas conscience de l'énormité des découvertes faites sous l'eau, j'imaginais quelques poteries, ou autres de ce style.
Au fur et a mesure du cheminement que vous nous proposez a travers vos Publications, on prend, là encore, conscience de la LOURDEUR de L'ÉVENTUALITÉ, de quelque choses de DINGUE, que l'on refuse parfois d'admettre (certains) par CONFORMISME.
Par exemple, si des animaux du passé ont éventuellement cohabiter avec l'homme, si certains d'entre eux furent gigantesque, il est probable que nous les ayons utiliser, tout comme il est probable que l'homme puisse être, comme eux, atteint de Gigantisme.
Si on s'efforce de créer des bibliothèques C'EST VRAIMENT QUE LA MÉMOIRE HUMAINE EST ULTRA LIMITÉ.
On ne peut que SPÉCULER sur notre passé lointain.

Sinon pour le fond, faites-vous une différence entre Viracocha et Quetzalcoatl ?
Un grand merci ! Viracocha chez les Boliviens et les Péruviens est le Quetzalcoatl des Aztèques et des Mayas. En fait, il n'y a pas de différence, que peut-être de très petites nuances, à part le nom qui est différent.
