      +Jose Chimal each city is different. If all where like this, it'd be boring wouldn't it? I do understand what you mean though, it does look more functional than the cities of my own country (Portugal, btw) but then again, the charm some Portuguese cities have....well you cannot deny why people like them so much.
      Still, I'm pretty amazed and marveled by how Stockholm looks!

    • @MusikAlltid
      @MusikAlltid Před 8 lety +1

      Carlos Saraiva Göteborg is a nice city as well, feskekörkan is pretty nice but Göteborg isn't as unique as Visby is.
      Visby inside of the city walls is awesome.
      If you visit Göteborg try to get out of the city as well, the town of Marstrand is a little bit out of Göteborg and is pretty cool. It has a fortress on a hill in the middle of a small town.

      But I would say many old parts of Stockholm has certain similarities with, say, Lisboa, especially the medieval parts of Gamla Stan. I believe many tourists and vistors would consider both rather quaint and picturesque (despite Swedens tiresome reputation of being "modern" in every possible way).

    But! The new main bridge is here, came on a ship from China in early 2020 (yeah...). It's a good bridge, I've walked & biked across several times. Still a huuuge construction site around it. @Streetfilms, you should come back in like 2025 when Slussen will be mostly done and so many other places will have seen improvements too. I see a few places in your footage that have already been transformed.

      I visited both countries and in my experience the cultural atmosphere is VERY different. In general, swedes tend to be very open and accepting and non-judgemental and non-religious, so a very kind and considerate culture (of course there are exceptions).
      while Russian culture in my experience tends to be in general a lot more conservative, judgemental, religious, closed minded (of course there are exceptions).
      In terms of the sexes, in Sweden women seemed to me a lot more free, free to be who they are (and not just sex objects for men) and to pursue what they wish, and most men seem much less aggressive and more considerate and understanding.
      While in conservative Russia women seemed to me much less free, much more expected to play a certain role, to be and behave in a certain way (as if their main function in life is to please men), and the men seem much more aggessive and insensitive than what I've experienced in Sweden (of course there are exception).
      Russian women are probably the most beautiful women I've seen anywhere in the world, but I personally wouldn't want to live there. The culture seems too conservative and judgemental and oppressive and psychologically-undeveloped (and even violent sometimes)
      Just my observation based on spending a few weeks in each country... :)
