      According to Adamo new everything apart from the wheel rims for the full 22 Hybrid car - the car they were testing earlier this year was just a mule with nothing carried over

    • @zwjna
      @zwjna Před 2 lety

      What the fuck does that even mean. Whatever: one can clearly hear that the throttle is lightly applied to maximize traction. This is exactly how any damn car would need to be driven when you are using tarmac tyres on the snow.

      @@zwjna Calm your tits down and read my post again. I didn't say anything about his driving method/skill etc. All I say is that those WRC cars are so fking noisy (and in the worst possible way) while only making around 350 hp. It just looks and sounds odd to me.

    • @zwjna
      @zwjna Před 2 lety

      @@TheKamar2 Whether you meant one thing or the other, you are still making stupid-ass statements, and here I am to enlighten you. A car's exhaust's loduness is related with much more things than just the horsepower the engine makes - which is just enough for rallying (those 380 (!) HPs), since here we need more torque and mechanical grip than horsepower: for example, Group B was goddamn slow compared to WRC whether they had 700hp or 1000hp as those fanboys like to spread. I'll quote a very good comment from a forum user - and as you are gonna read, WRC's "fking noisy exhausts" are the result of huge efforts at making the engine as powerful as possible:
      _Part of what you are hearing is how exhaust has been tuned by designing the pipe diameters and lengths. The goal is to use some of the energy from the sound wave from the opening of the exhaust valve to pull some extra exhaust out of the cylinder. Sound is successive compression and rarefaction waves, tuning gets a rarefaction back to the exhaust valve before it closes._
      _Another thing affecting the exhaust note is the turbocharger, waste gate and anti lag system. Basically the heat energy in the exhaust is being harvested to compress the incoming air. The exhaust passes a spool which spins and this turn another turbine that compresses the incoming air. There is more complexity added with waste gates and anti lag systems. The anti lag can get burning fuel into the turbo to try to keep it spinning fast while the car is slowing down (approaching a corner) so there is no lag when the driver hits the gas exiting the turn._
      _With all these systems optimized for immediately available power there is frequently unburnt fuel in the exhaust causing pop and bang noises. There are also noises during transitions when the driver steps off the gas, air meeting a turbo doing the "wrong" thing, valves opening or closing._
      _Your ear hears from the exhaust the interplay between a bunch of interacting systems optimized to make the engine as powerful as possible, as quickly as possible, many of them based around the exhaust. Engine life is a secondary concern, the rally engine just needs to survive the race before being rebuilt. What it sounds like is not a concern at all._
      It's no longer odd, or is it?

      @TheKamar2 Před 2 lety

      @@zwjna Just try to calm yourself and read my posts again coz you still haven't got my point. What I mean is that: 380HP (I hope it's a wheel power) CAR engine shouldn't sound like that imo. Please don't try to make shite up (thing that I didn't talk about at all) and then debunk it.
      I don't care if the engine is 1.6L or 1L ,if it has a fancy anti lag system or fked up Ignition timing. All I say is that: it is pointless imo to make a car with so low power sounding like this.
      It's like buying a Renault Clio 1.2 and cutting off the exhaust south from the manifold, then mess with the timing. Yes you will gain a bit more power but it's ret**ded, and It will now sound just alike. The Clio would scream like an utter trash and would still get absolutely destroyed by the other cars with a bigger, more powerful engine.

    • @zwjna
      @zwjna Před 2 lety

      @@TheKamar2 Pointless is the amount of garbage you are saying. A Clio or any other shitbox can be louder just by doing such modifications that would give "a bit more power", but a WRC car is thoroughly and purposely built to be very performant - and as a result, it is damn noisy. You can even tell the difference in the loudness at the start of the stages when the drivers turn on the "stage mode" and the cars get richer in every aspect. The engineers don't give a shit about the sound nor the looks of the cars. Where the hell is the "pointless" stuff there?
