I still don't get how the first part of the movie was supposed to be the Killing Joke. The first half could've focused on the Joker's origin or something
I don't think he killed the Joker. Alan Moore's original and later drafts said nothing about Batman killing the joker. Besides, if he killed him I don't think they would've referenced the events of the killing in "Under the Red Hood" (where Joker was the main villain!).

I always felt like it completely defeated the entire purpose of the character if Batman kills.

If I remember correctly the undersea part at the end is from Thunderball. The "standing in front of a boy" line is from Notting Hill.
There was actually a pretty damn bad ass non-canon Batman comic, in which he kills the Joker.
The Joker goes after Lois Lane and her unborn baby. Superman nearly kills him, but Batman stops him, and tells Sups that he will handle it.
He starts driving the Joker toward Arkham, but the Joker starts talking about that he is not finished Lois and her baby. So Batman quietly turns to him and snap his neck.
He then drives to the Police Station and gives himself up for murder.
The comic ends with him in prison. Sups comes to talk with him and asks him why did he killed the Joker. Batman admits that he knew that the Joker would have never stop coming after Sups family, so he broke his own code to protect them.
Superman walks through the metal bars and hugs him.
I cry manly tears.
I think the end shows just how close Batman is to going insane. beautiful ending

God , this movie was really disappointing. Most of the DC animated movies up to this one were quite good, and this was just really bad, particularly for bad adaption of such an iconic, decently written piece of the Batman universe.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it was said in an interview I saw that Batman indeed kills Joker at the end. I always saw it as the Joker finally in a way "breaking" batman to the fact that he kills him.

I was watching the killing joke movie while watching this but i haven't seen the full movie just clips mostly the final battle and ending I like it not really the beginning but the Part when Batman drives into Arkham to the end those parts are old really good

I'm guessing the everything wrong guy didn't actually pick up and read "the killing joke" comic. Cause some of his criticism is invalid.
I've got the killing joke right here. And yes quite a few of his criticisms are valid. I love the book and the movie butchered it. The additions really screwed up the story.
Jeremy doesn't have to. To him, the written material doesn't matter. That's why it's called CinemaSins, not Book/Comic Sins. It's all up to how the movie portrays the story, not the written material.
