  • In this video I am going over a quick demonstration of how I recreated the Black Moon “Who Got The Props” beat. This is not a very complicated track as it’s just loops layered over one another, however it’s a great way to get to know how the Lofi-12 works when it comes to sequencing, leveling the tracks and using the onboard effects.
    Keep up with the squad

Good stuff man. Just got my Lofi12 yesterday and i loved it right away. Regardless of what sample youre dealing with, I love the character of the overall sound. And i dig the fact that the limits force creative decisions. Thanks man

Yeah I messed with it for a minute and made a nice lil beat with it, but I forgot to save and the auto power off made that beat a distant memory 😂😂😂. It definitely steps the machine up a nice lil notch.

Thanks for sharing this video! It’s super helpful in understanding the unique workflow that the lofi-12 has. I ordered the lofi-6 and received it in the mail today. I think for the price and how powerful and gritty this drum machine (and the lofi-6) is you can’t beat it. I hope you continue to bang out some more tutorials. Peace

Cool video. I didn't know koala existed, I just bought it, itl make sampling from my phone very easy, il use it for my other samplers too thanks for that.
Anyways I just got this sampler, it's very confusing to me. I've been making beats for about 20 something years and I learned on the EPS 16, then the moc 2k, then the mpc 500 so I'm very used to Old School methods. But man this machine is very confusing.
Maybe you can explain to me simply how do I start a new project without erasing all of the internal sounds? The manual has been no help and no one on CZcams has explained it unless I missed it. I'm cautious because they seem to have made it very easy to ruin all the internal patterns and sounds and I looked up how to get it back onto the sampler and it requires so many steps on the computer and I bought this device to avoid using a computer.
If you can help me out man that'd be awesome dude I appreciate it , also thanks for introducing me to koala I'm gonna be using it alot

Awesome video, man! Hey, does the sampler come with any software? I saw you had some sample wave files. I'm definitely getting this sampler!

Hey thanks for checking out the video and commenting. The sampler doesn’t include any software, but it does come loaded with several sounds and sequences that you can use. I usually empty my samplers out once I have them so I can put my own sounds in which is what I did here. The waves on the screen are from Koala sampler. I use it to hold the samples and speed them up in order to stretch the 4 second maximum on each sample slot that the lofi 12 has. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks again!

@@BeatMakerIsTheSquad using Koala sampler is a great tip for on-the-go sampling and beat making. Didn't know it yet, but it's super fun and intuitive to use, thanks!

No problem! Koala is a super powerful tool. The effects in there can have you making sounds and beats literally out of thin air or even from videos on your phone. It’s a great option. Glad to help!
