Buuuuuut he's kinda not going anywhere. Regis knew he was the king of kings snd tried to give him as normal a life as possible. I just wish we had seen more of them together and happy and not just Noct bein a dumb punk.
I really don't understand why this bahamut gets so much hate, but as a fan of final fantasy since this first game, this has to be my personal favorite. The fact that they broke the dragon tradition which got old after 10, it seems to me they combined bahamut with knights of round to form this bahamut. Then when he shot all the swords at ifrit was just awesome. By far my favorite version of bahamut
They hate him because he is beatifully written. A villain is supposed to be hated and bahamut pulled the strings. I love this bahamut since he has more presence here than in all other ff games
JustN64 It was not the Bladekeeper who preordained the events. He is but a mouthpiece of the Crystal and a messenger of its words. The culmination of this and Ardyn’s lover, Aera, forsaking the laws of the covenant as the Oracle by absentmindedly sharing with Somnus his brother’s rite as Chosen King led to the unraveling. Though, it can be said based on Bahamut’s words, it was preordained; Aera would violate her oath and share information that she would only be privy to. Perhaps that is why Ardyn worked hard to destroy the Crystal knowing the inevitability of his accursed fate- even though the outcome would remain the same.
You can see the look in Noctis' face when he learned what he must do. It's that face when you realized and processing that you have to die, realizing that everything that you lived for up to that point had no purpose whatsoever but to end your life and the cursed to save the world - that sort of responsibility just dropped on him like an atom bomb. A truly rude awakening. Kinda sad.
This is late as hell, but the others die at the same time as Noctis pretty much. They sacrifice themselves to keep the Daemons at bay for Noct to finish the ritual.

For those who be new here, beware, there be spoilers ahead, yar: Here's the long winded explanation: Astral are Six gods of the world of ffxv, not a summon. The Oracle Lunafreya is speaker for them and you only get their "help" through her. which I find is cool, they act like they should, as gods. "You want my help, well...sure . or hell no. or I'll half ass it. None of this...well they got me so I may as well give it my all. As for Bahamut looking like a Dragon Knight, well in X we got a flying peacock with a rotary blade that fired a Lazar, xiii you got a mechanized reject, xii he was an airship, though twelve is my favorite. So before you start hating on his design...there are worse things. As for him being there with Shiva...He literally was just a distraction. A moment of realization for Ifrit to realize he fucked up. Bahamut just showed up,. did his thing and let Noctis finish it. As for the human , womanly eyes , yet male voice. Gods are perfect beings. They are essentially genderless in some mythologies. You could apply that aesthetic here. But that's my theory on the matter.
When I saw it zoom in on Bahamut's eyes I thought I saw the same eyes as Noctis's. So I thought it was a reference to the Lucian lines source of power.
Noct's, most likely. Regis answers "He will take responsibility, you know," which obviously refers to the responsibility to clean up the Lucis Caelum mess, and the Crystal voice replies "As must we all", which again makes sense, considering the role the gods played in it.
@@saikeenra I think he was talking about Regis himself. After all, he did need to die so Noctis reclames his power in his sword. After that, all Noctis needed was to get to the Crystal and work's done.
MY favorite scene out of the game and the dub voice of Bahumut is beautiful! I hated the story and how it ended but everything else in the game AWESOME!
Bahamut in this game is more like a dragon/knight hybrid. He has the dragon tail and dragon physic with knightish armor and dragon wings made up of giant swords
This could have been the best FF story ever but the pacing was off and too much happens of screen, Nifelhiem is destroyed off screen, the Emperor is turned into a demon by Ardyn of screen, all of Nifelheim is truned to demons of screen, Ignis gets blinded by someone or something off screen while we fight levithan and he never explains how, Gladio dissapears for one mission and comes back with scars and never explains how, all though Ravus was a well done character his story is very obvious if they point things out. in kingsgalive he hates Regis for leaving Tennebrae to burn so joins Nifelheim to kill him and take his ring and sword, he gets the sword but the ring refuses him. In the actual game he goes from wanting to kill noctis till Ardyn stops him and then when we find him dead there are loads of notes from luna where Ravus expresses that Noctis is not worth Lunas life and suffering, then the last lette says that when Noctis seeks him out he will give him Regis's sword as if Luna thinks he is worth Ravus will trust her judgement, so he only wanted Noctis dead because his sister was having her life drained by forging the covenant with the Asrals which is a change of motivation from him wanting Regis dead for revenge, but this is never explained and we have to piece together the puzzle. if a few more things had been better explored and shown on screen the story would have easily been my favourite but as it is, it is still very good and sits at 3rd for story in FF games
agreed. Also, i would just assume that glauca would be some kind of a boss in the game. Or as Anthony said, we should have been ableto fight the emperor at some time. The amount of bosses was a little bit lackluster, but i guess they make up for it with all the hard bosses during the sidequests. Hopefully we'll see some lore/story based bosses in the DLC's
***** ye I can deffinatley see where your coming from I thought that at first but he is not seen during the scene where it cuts to the empire early on so I assume he died after that fight
He still has a tail and wings, but they can't be seen under his armor. When you summon him, he takes his armor off (his armor is made up of a shit ton of swords) and his body can be easily seen.
Lee Hsiang Hong bahamut doesnt take off their armor in the this clip. *SPOILERS* Bahamut takes their armor off when they are summoned to fight ifrit towards the end of the game.
I find that hard to believe, his voice in the trailer sounded more demonic, maybe Ifrit was in the crystal as well and Ardyn took him when Nifilheim took the crystal.
***** Because Ifrit hated humans, Ardyn says this himself, Ifrit was not for protecting humans like the other gods and maybe he killed humans, so Bahamut sealed Ifrit along with himself in the crystal, but this is just a theory.
It was Bahamut, both him and King Regis agreed upon the destiny of Noctis. Bahamut resides in the Heart Of The Crystal, whence he could freely communicate with Regis. All that happened in Kingsglaive was made to keep Noctis in his path to ascendance.
I thought this was Ultima Weapon while watching the other videos. It's attack Ultima Blade, was my main reasoning besides the lack of a formal dragon like shape from previous FF games.
Alex Campbell It’s mostly due to this “They Changed it, Now it sucks” thing. Overall, I like it. I just wish he was usable other than that scripted Ifrit fight. Maybe he should’ve been usable after beating the main story (much like how the Regalia Type-F is)
Guys I have a theory, you know how the summons can use people as messengers like Shiva using Gentiana in order to communicate with the humans, right? Well, remember what Ardyn said before Noctis was sucked into the Crystal? "You'll never guess who's name Izunia was?" and then we have this scene happen right after? I think the game is trying tell us that Bahamut IS Izunia, or rather he used Izunia as a messenger during or after the great war of old to pass the Crystal onto Ardyn, what we see here is Bahamut's messenger form, notice how he has the king's magic ability and that he can speak the human tongue really well compared to the other astrals besides Shiva? So when Ardyn said that a Jealous king demonized him, it wasn't Izunia but rather Bahamut as Izunia. If one were to open the game's files and look at Bahamut's face behind the mask, he looks very similar to Noctis, who Izunia is speculated to be his ancestor. There's also the fact that the messenger forms are significantly smaller than the true forms of the astrals I.e Shiva's corpse near Gralea where you fight the Death-Claw and Ifrit's corpse under the Rock of Ravatogh where is missing horn also is, so it makes you wonder how big Bahamut true form really is if this is only his messenger form! There was also the recent update where we see pictures depicting the great war of old and in that scene where we see the other astrals going up against Ifrit we see a dragon who has what looks like a flare coming out of it's mouth (What is Bahamut's signature attack? Mega-Flare!). I rest my case!
I only wish we could summon Bahamut as frequently as the rest. Although I found the actual summoning of him rather anticlimactic. Bare with me, it was a great summon scene but when you compare it to the sheer destructive power of the FFXIV Bahamut, this one just pales. He's been my favourite summon for the longest time though and that's not about to change anytime soon!
Truth! I felt like they could have done a much better job on the side quest. Like witcher 3 side quest you get lost in. I cant tell you how long it took me to get to skelliga because of the side quest and their lore.

Though I only like bahamut in dragon form I won't hate. decades have passed and it's time for Final Fantasy to do new things. As a fan, I am with them causs I love them!
dagdamor1 Sadly no, but maybe they'll patch it in. They seem to be gearing up a whole slew of patches and fixes including ng+ and story content. So who knows? Maybe we'll be able to summon both bahamut and ifrit.
they better patch it alright... it's pretty useless when it allows all other summons but no the remaining 2. but then if it happens for ifrit...u gotta be around volcano or something ? lol
Most comments are like " I member bahamut being a dragon; do you member?" while I like this one because its different and not the same old dragon every game. in my opinion that got boring.

Though I only like bahamut in dragon form I won't hate. decades have passed and it's time for Final Fantasy to do new things. As a fan, I am with them causs I love them!
asking where the guys are: THANK. YOU!!! ;_;
Ardyn make me think of Sonic.exe with the dark eyes with blood running down his lower eyelids lol
I thought this bahamut was pretty badass
This is the ultimate bahamut.
Ryzen Deus uhhhhhh, no
Prove me wrong
+Ryzen Deus How is this ultimate Bahamut? Only thing ultimate about him is his size, though FFXIV Bahamut is even bigger.
The dragon king Bahamut is now the King of swords lol
He's kinda like alphamon.
Try Anything true that but no dragon King sword.
i wanted to see bahamut as a dragon...
Tony M.P well he is, hes a dragon knight :D

When bahumut looks like Gaia The Firece Knight from Yugioh
the overmind looks different from what i remember
Am I the only one that's reminded of the Lion turtle scene from Atla?
if only they didnt give him a human face. thats why people are so mad bout this version of him and ifrit. THEY'RE TOO HUMANOID
Do we get to use Bahamut anywhere except the scripted Ifrit boss?
dagdamor1 Sadly no, but maybe they'll patch it in. They seem to be gearing up a whole slew of patches and fixes including ng+ and story content. So who knows? Maybe we'll be able to summon both bahamut and ifrit.
they better patch it alright...
it's pretty useless when it allows all other summons but no the remaining 2. but then if it happens for ifrit...u gotta be around volcano or something ? lol
Use a God? heretic!
no you dont
Bahamut rematch in Comrades is the best thing I've ever seen - go watch
Most comments are like " I member bahamut being a dragon; do you member?" while I like this one because its different and not the same old dragon every game. in my opinion that got boring.

I just realized that noctis and luna’s marriage was in the afterlife wtf
Does anyone know the track playing around 4:42 when Noctis is flashing back and reflecting?
Dunno the exact track, but it's playing themes from Somnus, the title screen track.
Bamamut looks like a transformer. I didn't know beast machines were in this game. where's Optimus Prime?
Enin washington locked behind dlc
""...and only at the cost of a life: his own."
