I played the absolute heck out of Sky Force on my iphone...so I was thrilled to recently discover that there was a newer Sky Force on the Switch with new levels and everything. Loving Reloaded so much!
Since my last posting I bought and finished anniversary but I found the grinding to get all the upgrades to be unbearable.. i stuck with it though and have maxed out absolutely everything and it still feels underpowered on insane and nightmare mode (unlocked after completing the game). There are only 9 levels.. In hindsight i should have gone for reloaded.. the main cannon seems much better and there are more levels. 9 is so short and there is no WAY you can complete level 8 and 9 without at least a lot of the ship upgraded..I have managed to get all medals in normal/hard/insane/nightmare for the first four levels (16 medals per stage) but as yet can't do it for 5 to 9 although i've been able to at least unlock insane mode on those. Same 2 songs also playing over and over really grates after a while. The control and graphics are great, besides enemy missiles getting completely obscured in scenery sometimes, and there is this addictive quality to it... But overall I am 50.50.. I don't know whether to recommend it or not. I've put way too much time into this shmup. Maybe i'll revisit it for tournaments now and then but for now, i've had it lol.
I own both games on ps4. Virtually finished both games on all difficulty levels all upgrades ect. Both games are in sale right now on switch at £4.50p each, or around $5 each and I'm unsure if I should buy them again. I kinda got burned out on ps4 versions but I recently got my switch and want some fun games for hand held play. I might buy 1 game for now. Sale ends in day or 2 so I'll have to make up my mind. Or I may try and find some similar games that I've not played.
Damn now I still don’t know :). Was just about to buy reloaded. Saw it was on sale 6,99€ vs 9,99€ for anniversary. Found this vid and can’t decide still haha.
@@Darkuni Not too difficult in the end. Went for reloaded. I hardly ever pay full price, reloaded was on sale, the grind doesn't seem too bad and anniversary didn't seem to provide more value for money so far. When that goes on sale I might get that as well. Thanks for showing it man ;-)
@@rap-id-ralph Damn I must have missed the sale reloaded is over twice the size in the download so I will probably buy that one as it will probably contain more content but I will wait for a sale. + I just picked up Sine Mora EX and that should keep me busy for a while.
damarlboromans whoops ye it’s full price again i see. I bought anniversary also after two days of fully hooked on reloaded lol. Reloaded seems to have more bullets so far, so def the better choice. Might change with more play time though, dunno. Sine mora ex is way too expensive for switch imo. Got that on pc for €5, no way I pay €30 for it on switch.
It don't play well on pc if you was using the mouse control its laggy and sluggish with a delay when you move the mouse and slow so i had to refund it shame i would of liked this game looks fun and would task away my boredom
I like Reloaded more, only played anniversary edition to have more to play. in comparison to reloaded anniversary plays a bit slower and the grind for upgrades is a lil bit unbearable
Just heard about these games and this video was super helpful, thank you!
Finally someone who actually talks in there comparison video
Thank you
Thanks.. I had no idea what the differences were but you've made it very simple for me.. Anniversary.
tank you for explaining, very helpful

Good comparison video. Kudos.
I thought they were different games. Thank you so much.
I have anniversary on the WiiU and I love it!
Maybe I get reloaded on Switch!
Nice explanation!
8:13 “it’s a lot more simplex”…

Which has a better gfx? And feel?

Got this game free on psn and it's a blast, me and my friend really enjoyed it
Thanks 👍
Both free(mium) on mobile, and honestly the touch controls might be BETTER than gimbals on a controller.
I bought both on steam. I play anniversary edition on my phone.
I've beaten the series. It's a boot camp for shoot em ups. If you can beat one, then its easier to do your average shoot em up.
Simplex :)
My favourite is sky force reloaded
