    Good job Jack and Henry, Looks great and you're gonna be more visible. No doubt any extra lighting helps. Routing wiring can always be a challenge and there's always the self satisfaction of having done it yourself and saved money doing it.

    I got around to doing this install today on my Road Glide Limited and your video definitely helped with making the connections under the hood, so thank you. The directions don’t seem written very well in that regard. I had no trouble fishing the wired connectors through the lower fairings. Guess I got lucky. An additional note for those wanting to install these that I don’t think I heard from any video: the directions state that these won’t work with stock front turn signals. The front turn signal lights need to be swapped out with LEDs. Fortunately, I had already done that prior.
    Edited to add: if I remember correctly, both you and Andrew (@Touring Midwest) mentioned that the two screws on the inside cover of the lower fairing just turned but didn’t seem to back-out. On mine, they did seem that way at first, but I just kept on turning and they did eventually come out. After having removed both screws on each side, that cover does pop out a little, granting a little more space to route that wired connector through much more easily. That might be why it wasn’t that difficult for me (literally, a couple minutes each side).

    Wow man time codes and all sorts of cool new things. Audio excellence. Of course I’ll never need those, but if I did I now know how to do it.

    Didn't have a problem running the wire... Loosen up the inner bolts and move the plastic cover up... wire fed without problem and no chase needed. Then bring wire under vent mechanism along the inside and tuck wire in the rubber surround near the coolant hose. Run wire up the faring support and inside along speaker pod. Took maybe 5 minutes total.

      We tried to do the same thing. The bolt that we were support to loosen was stripped and we were not able to move it. I think that is why we had so many issues. The other side went right on. I love these lights. Ride Safe

    Thank you for the video. I could not of done the wiring to the harness with out it. My engine light comes on when I first turn the switch on. It goes out when I start the engine. Any Ideas?

    • @HarleyDayRider
      @HarleyDayRider  Před 2 lety

      As long as the check engine light does not come on when you are riding then you are good to go. I am glad that the video helped you to get your new lights wired. Ride Safe
