HK MP5 and it’s variants call for loading on an open bolt to prevent you from encountering seating problems.

Different manual of arms, mags are meant to be seated on an open bolt. They can be seated on a closed bolt if the mags are downloaded a few round from full and FIRMLY inserted (rollerlock problems lol)

When you insert the mag pull it toward the rear of the gun.
You try rocking back once inserted with those KCI mags? I had similar problems but more-so with bolt-closed reloads. Good looking gun btw! I have that longer barrel version but it is a Zenith.
Being able to shoot in the cold gives you a whole new level of skill. Coming from a Florida Man. I’d rather train in 100degree weather all day long. Saweeet video as always dood
Looks like a fun one. Like the size. Issues with loading is def a problem, especially here in ohio (f ohio). With how these guns are designed, there supposed to be quick. Sad to see that something as simple as a mag change can screw that up, for quick re deployment. Awesome vid man, keep up the good work.
Nice. I have the PTR 9CT and the ETS mags were a little hard to seat and lock in. Bought some HK branded mp5 mags and they slide in and lock up super easy.

Awesome to see you go with PTR instead of what the big name trendy CZcamsrs are pushing. PTR guns are made in South Carolina USA. Zenith are made in Turkey...a country where Christians are still being victimized and persecuted. I will never buy a firearm from them.

Mp5 manual of arms. Cock the gun before you insert the mag. It’s user error. H&K mags would have done the same thing.

I also have the 9ct but mine came with 2 metal mags and also bought 2 more (15 rounders) from HK.
I wouldn’t buy that gun today with those cheap plastic mags. Bad move on PTR’s part.

operator error there with the mags - you should load from an open bolt on on MP5 - your opinion is not very well informed on the "junk" KCI mags, you literally were not operating the correct reload procedure for a MP5 and that is why they would not seat on your closed bolt.
