      I got a question: let's say that I have this strong pokémon OHKO'ing wild pokémon. Said strong has a Power Item. And the pokémon I am EV training has XP Share. The One-Hitter pokémon of mine faint a random wild pokémon.
      *NOW*
      Does the Pokémon with XP Share gets the increased EV from the One-Hitter or "Bands only affects the Pokémon wearing it*?

    i think it's funny how people think super training is easier than regular ev training.. with a power item and pkrs, you only have to defeat about 15 of a pokemon giving just 1 ev stat to max a stat out.. couldn't be easier.

    • @JoeHabana
      @JoeHabana Před 10 lety +2

      dude this other metod works better, with the Horde battles thr proces is even faster than super training
      a pokemon with Pokerus and a power item against a horde of certain pokemon horde gives you 50 EVs so only defeatin 5 hordes gives you 250, this is way faster. using honey or sweet scent is 100% chance to encounter a horde

    • @lightstormclaw
      @lightstormclaw Před 10 lety +1

      Joe Habana
      only problem with that is you wont always get the evs you want and you wont always get pokerus

    • @JoeHabana
      @JoeHabana Před 10 lety +6

      light stormclaw for the Pokerus, lots of people spread it over Wonder trade so is worth to use tha fumction and the vivillions are good to send, lots of people want to get all the different paterns. now about the EVs, avoid mixed Hordes and for specific EV you need to go to:
      HP:
      Gulpin- route 5
      whismur- conecting cave
      foongus- route 20
      Atk:
      Ekans/Bellsprout- route 14
      Arbok/wippinbell- route 19
      Trevenant- route 20
      Def
      Nosepass- Route 10
      Geodude/Durant- Terminus
      SpAtk
      Vallinite/smoochum- Frost Cavern
      SpDef:
      Hoppip- Route 7
      Speed
      Wingull- Route 8
      Zubat- Conecting Cave
      i have some very useful guides to this, breeding for perfect IV, shiny catching, etc... just ask if ye want the direction to them (a couple are video in here, other are from Tumblr)

      Manny Perez Yes, yes it is.

    • @LosingCrayon
      @LosingCrayon Před 10 lety +1

      Manny Perez It may be faster, but I'm not sure if the stats would be as high as if you super trained at level 1. Because if your Pokemon becomes fully EV trained at say, level 20, then it would be missing out on 20 levels of stat increases that EV training would give you. But if you super trained your Pokemon all the way at level 1, then the stats would be better :) I'm not sure though, because I barely even get EV training >_

    • @EihaMudo
      @EihaMudo Před 10 lety +1

      The stats increases as you get EVs even if they are already level 100 now. Back in the old gens pokemon had to level at least once to get all the EV boosts (like Electivire getting +20 in attack from level 67-68 after EV training in attack). I always check serebii and pokegen to compare the stats there to the stats on my pokemon ingame and nothing has gone wrong yet.
      Anyway I have almost 3 boxes full of perfect and almost perfect IV bred pokemon (and EV trained as well...) and it took me around 2.6k eggs to reach that lol.

    • @Ocsttiac
      @Ocsttiac Před 10 lety +4

      Mr.Toast It's fundamentally just arithmetic, stuff you learn when you're 8-12. It's just because the fraction LOOKS big that it scares people.
      "Oh no! As an adult human being, I'm terrified of adding numbers together and dividing them!"

    • @johnroush1099
      @johnroush1099 Před 10 lety +4

      Ocsttiac no, it's more or less that the math involved isn't very intuitive. That is has to be a Pokemon with no training, and that the EV's cap out very early on in training. It doesn't make sense that a Pokemon can max out EV's before level 20, and those other 80 levels have no impact on how that Pokemon develops.
      I'll agree that the math itself isn't difficult. It's the applied concepts of the math that irritate people.

    So ev training is practically just a thing nerds do when they overanalyse and go complete beserk on what is supposed to be just a fun game to play. I thought we played games to escape math and such things -.-

      EV training is practically a thing to do to get stronger pokemon.
      And lol, you can't escape math by playing games. Most games are MADE with maths, and a ton of it too. 1+1=fish.

      You need to do these stuff if you want to battle online and win or play at Battle Maison. Otherwise it is not needed

      Good Luck in online mode and in tournaments with your Team that you used to beat the game with.
      Tell me how it goes afterwords then you'll be surprised to see how Evs are effective against other people.

    This took me quite a long time, but on my emerald save I have a battle frontier level 50 team EV trained and all shiny. It consists of a Salamance (which is wierd because it's green), a machamp, and an alakazam. I haven't lost with the party since I've done this and by setting there move sets up properly you make them extremely powerful. I didn't use this tutorial and I wish I had would have saved me many hours of tedious playing and searching for EV training methods. :)

    I was once a casual trainer, driven with determination to beat the Pokemon League (Particularly Cynthia)
    But then I caught a Gligar with Pokerus and it changed everything.
    Now I'm facing a crapton of Magikarps and Starlys, ocassionally switching between the game and the notepad and calculating the number of specific Pokemon I need to hunt down for the EV's
