FRISBEE - The Life And Death Of A Hippie Preacher | FULL-LENGTH DOCUMENTARY FEATURE

- In the 1970s Lonnie Frisbee became widely known as California’s “hippie preacher,” the quintessential “Jesus freak” whose pictures frequented such magazines as Time and Life as the media told the story of a burgeoning “Jesus movement” across North America. Lonnie was part of one of the first Christian hippie outposts in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district before joining the fledgling Calvary Chapel church in Costa Mesa, California. Though he only stayed there for four years, from 1968 to 1971, Lonnie Frisbee was the charismatic sparkplug that launched the “little country church” into a worldwide ministry and propelled some of its then fledgling leaders into some of the most powerful movers and shakers of the evangelical movement.
FRISBEE offers insights as told by Lonnie's friends and family-complemented by rare and unseen archival pictures and film footage. This documentary tells the story of a simple man whom God empowered to fulfill a grand purpose, and who suffered mistreatment by his spiritual overseers because of his honesty and his struggles. For anyone who has suffered the abuses of organized religion but still wants to hold on to faith, Lonnie Frisbee’s life is a testament that God still finds favor among regular everyday people. - Zábava
Best honest and raw documentary yet. God chooses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. God has always had to choose flawed humans to do his will. Lonnie Frisbee’s anointing changed my life in the 70s. Glory be to God!
I wish i could have met him. I believe he was before my time I’m n my late 40s.
you don't understand these people were not "anointed" they were part of a church that destroyed peoples lives. it was a fake church, and they were producing a fake christianity. unfortunately, you should look into some of the other FAKE PREACHERS CHUCK SMITH WAS INVOLVED WITH LIKE THE WOMAN that inspired benni HINN
Changed the lives of me and many of my contemporaries in 1973...in rural South Carolina!... A flawed but justified messenger with a true message of redemption and salvation.
We are all flawed human beings, and we will always be. It's only by the grace of God through Christ that we are even justified. But as God's born-again believers, we are to walk in newness of the life that He has bestowed on us. We must let the world know that it is dying, and the fashion of this world will pass away. Only love will remain, and the one truth and the one love that can be understood, is Christ's, not the love that the world gives, which is the false love, and it will pass away along with it.
If the person that was trying to diminish him because of his bisexuality thinks that he/she is not flawed that person needs to think again. Jesus came because we are all flawed. GLORY TO God in the Highest. I am a sinner. But Jesus" blood redeems me.
I appreciate that loving and positive perspective Jimmy . RIP Lonnie
How can u preach what you don't know, and haven't experienced, or are living?? Y'all are duped; ya best get back to your bibles!

The comments by Rich Buhler towards the end is on point. Lonnie is a person like the rest of us who God used incredibly. It was Gods power moving through him & people forgot to see Lonnie in his humanity. This brought tears to my eyes and I had to repent of any religious spirit. RIP Lonnie. Will see you in heaven one day xx
God said himself: there is none that doeth good, no not one. There is none righteous, no not one, but all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Rom 3:9-24. We are all justified freely by his grace: unmerited favor. Thank God for grace

Thank you for telling Lonnie’s story. Lonnie was married and had a wife -- before they divorced. He was bi-sexual. He needed deliverance and healing - being sexually molested by his male baby sitter. Then all the drugs and parties. Thank God he got saved. Father God in heaven Fight for humanity. I ask in Jesus’s name. 🙏🏻 We don’t fight flesh and blood but evil dark spiritual forces. Patty Bievins. It is vitally important to examine family of origin dynamics. He had childhood trauma and he never worked on recovery from the molestation. One must be discerning about ACES adult adverse experiences. He would not have succumbed to the temptation of having fallen into the bisexual lifestyle. He died of aids revealed by Greg Laurie the pastor that just spoke on another Christian channel. I’d never heard of him until listening to another Christian channel just today.

I love the way people talked in the 50s, 60s and into the 70s. The voice inflections and cadence of their speech is just enjoyable to listen to, it was just different back then.
This is such a random, but accurate comment. Hah. Agreed.
And they didn't phrase statements in the form of a question like people do today.

This is a great documentary. I knew Lonnie but not well. I was a bit younger then him and I did not know about the gay issue. When I got older I became aware of my own sexual orientation and I have struggled with it ever since. I have been celibate for almost 39 years now and occasionally I still have gay dreams and some sane sex attraction. As a Christian I realize that this doesn’t go away in this life. Lonnie was as true to Christ as any Christian. We all have sin in our lives and we fall sometimes. Being gay is not a choice. Just like others sins such as envy, gossip, pride, etc., sinfulness is our continuing struggle. Thank God He walks with us, convicts us of sin, forgives us and helps us grow. I have such sadness for Lonnie , but I know he would be so happy that his ministry is being revealed widely and in a sense he is still ministering to many people through his life story.💕❤️🙏✝️
My dear sister...
It appears that the 39 years of celibacy..., has been your choice, and with Holy Spirits help, the right choice.
Cowardice, envy, pornography, gossip, jealousy, bitterness, and your struggle ARE INDEED COMMON . Like ALL, and apparently you, taking control of the SOUL, the 'personality' that has been hammered and led to..., by family, culture, & religion..., AND DAILY ACQUIESCING to the Spirit, and what the Spirit has codified in The Word, IS the habit that each believer must learn and grow in!
After being born again, I Corinthians 6:11 IS TRUE.
"And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
Ephesians 2:2-3
in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Ephesians 4:22
to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
Ephesians 5:8
for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light"
I also struggle with this sin and single for many yrs I truly think
that Lonnie was used greatly by God
and repented before his death
God bless you, I respect you very much.
God’s grace and mercy are steadfast and true. 🙏💕
There is nothing wrong with being gay - Christians have no right to judge you
Thanks so much for posting this! I haven't been able to watch it in ages. Lonnie baptized me in the HS, and my dad did the narration, and now I can show the movie to my sons who my dad never had the chance to meet. It strikes me how much Lonnie's story is similar to that of countless women who were told that they can not preach or do miracles or lead - but the Holy Spirit worked through them to change the world, and they were able to say how can we resist the power of the Holy Spirit, or, as Margaret Fell said, who are we to attempt to limit the infinite power of God?
Pastor Chuck Smith gave the order one can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit not on Sundays but on Monday nights! More evidence of his spirit of control!
The Bible says women can't preach to men in a congregation.

I enjoyed this documentary, my heart hurt after what Lonnie endured, I know he is with The Lord, well done brother you fought the fight of faith! You are in the Garden with Jesus!
You are so right no one should ever be turned away from church, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, we must have faith, Jesus has already overcome the world, have faith the faith we have as a child. We are instructed to love everyone even the wicked, bless those who curse us, Jesus with his Holy Spirit gives us a new heart that enables us to truly love everyone, he changes us one day at a time, helping us grow in mercy, mercy is key word here.
Amen to that, Josee. We gotta love & bless others, and follow Jesus' example.
Which is also the perspective of almost all church leaders-the good ones.
The flip side of that coin however, as presented by several of those interviewed in the film, is that we are not instructed to put those who curse us in positions of authority in our churches. Scripture provides specific details on the requirements of deacons and elders/pastors.
That doesn't mean we don't LOVE those people, and pray for them.
You clearly don't know or understand scripture when you speak like this. We absolutely are to throw a brother (someone who knows better) out of the church when they are in sin. Now was Lonnie dealt with correctly? I can't say cause I wasn't there. But scripture for certain says to do exactly this. Come as you are, but don't stay as you are.
1 Cor 5:1,5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father's wife. you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
1 Cor 5:11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler-not even to eat with such a one.
1 Timothy 3:10 And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless.
It's not casting judgement on someone to throw them out of the church if they are knowingly in sin. Because when they repent we will welcome them back in with open arms. But until that prodigal son repents, they are not welcome.
I rented the movie two days ago and watched it 4 times so far. I cried throughout the whole movie each time. Even though lonnie fell away his life story preaches to me.
Lonnie says no one thought a hippie could be saved. And no one thought that most of the hippies would deny their faith by going back to the world. Jesus taught it’s a narrow road!
If Lonnie fell away..I think he fell into The Arms of JESUS CHRIST......perhasps the real test was for the christains who judged him, and did not reach out to help him...Christ condemened thoes that harmed children, and Lonnie was that child.. LUKE 17:3 and 4...
@@stonemagic540 It is even farther than that I think. Christians mostly Christian men have chosen Homophobia as the hill to die on while pleasantly pardoning heterosexuals adultery and other sins of the flesh. Why is this elevated above all others? On top of that did any of these people who condemned Lonnie stop taking tithes and offering from the thousands he brought in to their church? Isn't that also tainted with the sin of homosexuality? It is because of these people I will never step into an organized religions church ever again. Hypocrites in the worst possible way.
@@stonemagic540 Jesus said no one would be lost. But we don't hear that in our "churches". It's a miracle Lonnie existed at all actually, leaving out that he "fell away". And we know what those in the churches will say......
@devinbarker9285 He came back to the Lord before he died.
A slice of humanity. Tragic and beautiful. No holds barred. The power of God manifested through fallible humans with moral shortcomings. Everybody's got one. Lonnie Frisbee's life was a blessing and a spark that has tendered a great Forest. I can't help but believe that when Lonnie frisbee crossed over to the other side of the Jordan River into the promised Land that our heavenly father said well done my good and faithful Servant
Made me think of Paul saying “But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me-and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.” 1 Corinthians 15:10
It was God working through an imperfect man. We are all those imperfect men.
When I first learned about Lonnie through the trailor for "The Jesus Revolution" movie, I then looked up everything I could find on this lovely human being!!! I strongly agree he was not ministered to or helped to fight his own demons and struggles and for that I do feel these pastors and father figures... people he looked up to and would do anything for if asked...let him down and caused more confusion and pain in his heart and mind. I am sure Lonnie has forgiven them for they know not what they do....and I believe Chucks' remarks at the end of Lonnies service were misinterpreted. I may be wrong but my take from his words meant if someone else could have laid healing hands and prayers for the Holy Spirit to not only work through Lonnie but also work in him as He moved throughout this time in others... healing sickness and casting out demonic strongholds.
It is all over and forgiven ...now he is with the Father and teacher that he always longed for! So much love and comfort and peace surround him for eternity. He is so very loved!!!
Chuck Smith taught the lies of once saved always saved and the rapture before the great tribulation by the Beast!
If Lonnie did not repent of his homosexuality, he is suffering hell right now!
@@paulbortolazzo2831 if you read Corinthians we are not to pass that kind of judgement on fellow Christians. We are to call out sin but never declare who is or isn’t going to Heaven. If He was born of the Holy Spirit he is saved.
@@paulbortolazzo2831 if one is born of the Spirit they will not lose salvation. We will always sin but if one is reborn they are conflicted when they do. There is a war between our spirit and flesh if one is saved. It appears Lonnie was in that war. Jesus does not take back His gift if one was sincere and loves Him even if they fall. If one leaves Christianity they never were one of us.
Read his biography.
Many thanks for uploading this. I was very eager to see this.
The issue of homosexuality and the church’s response is troubling. The relationship between love and correction in ministry and life needs much prayer and God’s guidance. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery to ‘go, sin no more’ Jesus didn’t reject her, but he commanded her to change. That is the goal of love and correction. We are to be transformed in who we are, and in our practices. May God guide all us sinners, in whatever our sin, and May He grant Pastors and Teachers to love in knowledge and wisdom. praise Jesus.
But based on 1 Cor. 5, it is biblical to excommunicate those who identify as Christian while practicing sexual sin. So it wasn't wrong to put Lonnie out especially if he would no longer listen to anyone
It was great reading Lonniess own words about his life and it was after he came back from backsliding that he met rich b.who helped him get into therapy for his terrible childhood abuse..
Whoever made this ! Thank you ! 🙏💯💯💯
Excellent documentary
What a great documentary! Thank you for posting it. I've heard so many different takes on Lonnie since I saw "The Jesus Revolution", some good, some bad. I never knew about him until seeing the film, so I wasn't sure what to think. It seems this documentary gives a fair overview of who he was and what God did through him.
He was far more pivotal to the Jesus Movement than Chuck or the protagonist of Jesus Revolution.
However, now that the film has cone to Netflix so I can see it, it's a real shame that JR projected Chuck's self-agrandizing onto Lonnie, who was far more humble and focused on the HS.
Wow. I remember seeing him in person in Sacramento at a church that was nowhere near as big as Calvary Chapel or the Vineyard…and wasn’t connected to either one of them. That was sometime during the late eighties-early nineties. I had no clue he was all that, considering I used to go to The Warehouse, a church affiliated with Calvary Chapel, around the late seventies-early eighties. He showed up at that relatively small church (New Hope Christian Fellowship) to preach twice at the invite of the pastors. (There were two co-pastors there at the time.)
What a big surprise to find this video.
The Warehouse. The start of the 77's and Charlie Peacock/Vector. Some great memories of Saturday night concerts in my youth.

Wow ! Muy Interesante e Informativo Acerca de Lonnie Frisbee . After watching the movie “ Jesus Revolution “ I had a lot of questions about him , this video helped me.
Thank you !! 🙏🏻☺️
This was a timely documentary, very well made!
Honestly, I thought Lonnie was going to be a lot worse of a person when I started watching this video. He might not have been perfect in life or in preaching (some of his teachings and things he did was very wrong), but he was simply human - all flaws included. However, I respect that he got new Christian's feet wet in bringing them to Christ, The Lord, and The Spirit. Even after Lonnie passed, everyone could then choose their own path to explore and get to know Christ's sacrifice for our sins, the righteousness of the Father, and better understand the mystery of the powerful working hands of the Holy Ghost. Lonnie was all right. 👍
Thanks for the helpful review.

He probably did need a bath though. God love him.

What came to mind is that discipleship is very important too once someone comes to Christ and to not fall into the trap of sharing testimonies or ministering too soon after conversion. Also many folk suffer from a father's wound and are seeking the affirmation of the Father, but in all the wrong places... 🤔
I came to faith in Jesus in 1979 at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Chuck Smith was the the face of the church and movement at the time, but I heard about Lonnie.
I was being born on May 13, 1979, I accepted Jesus at 19 years of age, in 1999. My life is very similar to Lonnie. But he made it, because he repented on his deathbed. Who are we to keep judging him!?

Thank you so much for this film! I found it profoundly moving. Lonnie was used by God in such an amazing way. I am looking forward to catching up with him in glory! As for the comments made towards the end by Pastor Chuck at his funeral while they may not have been completely inaccurate I do think they were insensitive and inappropriate at a funeral attended by his family, loved ones and closest friends,, I was aware of Lonnie's role in the Calvary Chapel movement but not in his involvement with John Wimber, which is interesting having been a Vineyard pastor for nearly 10 years, though in the UK. Anyhow thank you again for sharing this
Hi. 10 years. Wow. In a 2nd book which is credited to Lonnie and ? he details how he went to Africa and Europe, etc. Mainly from 78-82 With great detail of being hooked up w/Vineyard when it was little and splintered some from Calvary. But it was John Wimber. I don't know about the UK Amazon but in the U.S. the middle-2nd book is free w/Kindle and amazing, filled with tons of Vineyard commissions.
He was also there and the conduit for that moment when the Signs and Wonders Movement arrived at Fuller Seminary. I tried to write a paper on him and about his involvement with Calvary and Vineyard, years before this film came out, but Chuck and John wouldn't return my calls. I did not know at the time the reason why. (TBF to John, he was deathly ill at the time as well.)
I think Chuck Smith’s comments were the comments of a man who didn’t know Lonnie at all. His words were not God would say about Lonnie. Yes, Lonnie was a sinner, re repented and God would say, “Well done good and faithful servant”. No man has the right to judge another man or women! How many times have we heard a church leader judge others and find they have some private sin in their own life. It is easy for a man to look at another man or women and judge them.
We as Christians have lost our first LOVE we first knew when we got saved. It is the same Love that started the Jesus movement. It was that love and acceptance the hippies longed for and people are hurting and craving for now. We need many Lonnie’s more than ever to turn this broken world upside down.
Everywhere online it's stated that the film is an hour and 45 minutes or else 59 minutes. It *does* seem to me from my memory a decade ago that there are some missing parts - at least 5 minutes. Do you know where the missing footage is, or if you can upload it, or what happened to it?
All praise to the highest! Thank u for his life, for i take away love and understanding of the search for THE Real truth!

Lonnie got used and pushed away, but I still feel the anointing in his messages. powerful man of God
That's pretty judgemental of you.
wow, what an incredible story. I understand so much more now about this type of sin and God's grace and mercy, thanks to this documentary. I think his story should be played on the big screen. It will help so many people who are gay, as much as those who are straight. Homosexualism is a sin. Just like it is lying and cheating, and adultery, etc. Sin is sin. But my God! I'm so thankful to a God who sent His Son to pay for our sins and I'm sure Lonnie and the likes were in that plan. We should never judge people because of their lifestyle. Jesus took time to sit with the woman at the well, even though He knew her life and who she was. Jesus knew us way before we were a thought in his mind, and still, He loved us and gave His life for us. I'm not a homosexual, but I know a lot of them, and I've never for a second thought whether when I wasn't a christian, nor after becoming one, that it was okay for me to judge them. I was not a homosexual, but i had other type of sins in my life which God forgave me for. And I'm so thankful I know a God who's loving and forgiving and is full of mercy and compassion. Something that the church and many christians lack.
Jesus said judge righteously! If you love and follow Jesus. You cannot accept sin! It goes against God! Don’t you see what satan is doing?
@lgnlynays
Amen brother...
"For it IS GRACE that TRAINS us to deny ALL ungodliness. " - Titus 2:11
Not some religious judgement that overlooks porn use, lying, gossip. Thoughts of adultery and murder (lusts & hate)..., which ALL are guilty of...
Right after Romans 3:23 'all have sinned and fallen short of God glory..., is Romans 3:24 ..." and [all] ARE JUSTIFIED - { just- as-if-id-NEVER sinned } FREELY, by His Grace (Favor), through the redemption that IS..., in Christ Jesus. "
Come on church! Grace is not a doctrine!
It's THE GOSPEL! The Power of God to them that BELIEVE!
All sin, after initial confession and becoming born again, IS WASHED AWAY - past, present AND FUTURE!
NOW Walk in the freedom wherewith CHRIST has SET US free.
Walk as children of light.
Such an Eye-Opener!
The ongoing drama of God working through humans has always been messy. Fascinating. Enjoyed this documentary but there is one point that needs to be emphasized: it was God doing it. Not Lonnie. Thank God that this man was such a usable vessel. Praise Jesus!
Hallelujah
Lonnie in the heaven and now his sending smile for me and u 😊😇
No the Bible says the dead no nothing what happens in this world. One of the perks of heaven we leave this all behind.
amen. I am currently having the same experience over the past four weeks
Jesus saves sinners. And he wants us to turn from sin after we are saved. As Paul said..." shall we continue in sin that Grace May abound? God forbid" God wants holiness in his leaders. When a sinful life is manifest in a leader, it no longer gives God glory. It actually damages the reputation of christianity. Should gays be welcomed into church? Yes...should homosexuality be condoned in the church? No. God please save us all from any sin that may be in our lives
Is there a soundtrack to this? Or a way to get a list of the songs that were featured.
Thank you*
Wonderful words of Life!
The Lord spoke to me and said Bonnie you are not going to Heaven because you are sinless you are not going to heaven because you are righteousness! He said you are going because l am righteousness, because l am sinless! Because of my Blood covering you and your faith in me !
Seems that Lonnie got let down and abandoned by a few people who should have been kind and looked out for him. Very sad how some people treated him. Thanks for sharing this.
What Chuck said at the end was absolutely right and there was nothing wrong with it. Imagine what Lonnie's potential could've been if he had not fallen back into sin and died because of it. The over-reaction to this simple and truthful statement is telling.
"Potential" by whose standard? The "Leaders" ignored the young man & boy who was abused, & tortured, without mercy who then became conflicted & bitter. Who are we to judge the manner and destiny of anyone. Matthew Chapter 7 please!
I believed that torn in the flesh is his grace. It humbled Him the we don't really see. Only God knewall this before he was born. We all need gracein all our weakness and fear's.
He came back to the Lord before he died. It’s in a interview with a friend.
Sure seems like an awkward moment to bring it up.. at his funeral speech?!? That was ridiculous and I’m just a casual observer and not emotionally invested in either Chuck or Lonnie as I barely know about them.
@@AllOtherNamesUsed It is normal for someone to express regret over a life lost too early at a funeral speech.
Very interesting and well presented.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can anyone tell me the title and band/singer for very last tune played on the end of the video? Thank you!
Shame on Calvary Chapel and Vineyard for judging Lonnie. They accepted Lonnie’s Spirit’s anointing when it increased their flocks but rejected his humanity. Such hypocrisy.
I liked Lonnie but I don't even know if he was saved. We need doctrine and scripture above miracles, signs and wonders
@@patrickphilip777sounds like the Pharisee! Always hate and wickedness in their hearts and looking for a sign. They had one. Jesus!
@@patrickphilip777 Jesus successfully combined both signs and wonders AND teaching. He said that "If anyone believes in Me, the works that I do they will do also. That's John 14:12
He wasn't just talking about the miracles themselves, but about using His methods.
When we do things according to God's design They do the signs and wonders for us - they are not the product of mankind. Even Jesus said that: "I can do nothing of Myself;" John 5:30. Later He added, "It is the Father in Me who does the works." John 14:10
The same Father is wanting to work in each one of us like He did in Jesus.
I agree, not to mention, It appears as though, the hypocrisy continues. In the sense that they can't bring themselves, to treat his memory with dignity. I met Lonnie in 1979, still humble and preaching the gospel, he changed my life. And if there's shame it's not his, it's their's !
Great documentary
The Gifts and calling of God are without repentance
just watched "jesus revolution" last night and enjoyed it. knew nothing of any of it. now watching this, i am so pleased and also disheartened to learn the story of lonnie frisbee. as a queer woman myself, i feel its the epitome of irony that anyone would call themselves a follower of jesus and judge anyone. if christianity as an institution, and christians as individuals, want to truly save as many people as possible, then they need to finally refrain from such self-righteousness as to deem someone else a sinner, since we are all sinners right? ..and focus instead on the divine mercy of jesus who forgives ALL of us and loves us unconditionally simply because thats who jesus is. the world is torn apart not because enough people aren't saved, but because too many are dividing the world with judgment instead of loving kindness and unity.
I think sometimes, we have a difficult time with spiritual things. Tongues, miracles, signs and wonders, etc. I think sometimes that we have a tough time with leadership that tries to keep order and keep the people from complaining and thus paying the bills!
Jesus didn’t come to save the well but to save the sick in sin. 2000 years ago. Everyone has sin and fall short of the glory of God.
How many of those saved during the Jesus Revolution in Southern Calif are still serving their Lord today? I got saved in the 70’s and was a deacon at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara! The falling away of so many that went back to the world was heartbreaking. Sadly, CC pastors would never admit this happened!
That’s very sad.
I was saved 1970 in Atlanta area where it spread..with all its issues, there is fruit that remains even though eople did not last...good and bad often run on parellel tracks...
I got saved in 1971. I lived in a Christian commune in Lolita California. The lighthouse ranch. I’m 72 and still love the Lord with all my heart!
Yes. Many of us fell away and ended up joining the conservative evangelical churches. When the JM ended, people looked around and didn't find anything, save those churches, and there was no where else to go.
Oh the Mercy of God for us all. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus. ✝🎺⏳2 Corinthians 4:7
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
“I tell you, her sins-and they are many-have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” Luke 7:47 I'm crying 😢 His sorrow & pain scream from his wounded eyes in pics: SEE Me! HELP me! HOW was that missed? I hope we see him in Heaven for we ALL fall short without JESUS 🕊️🙏💖✝️ some of us more than others and we know who we are. Thank God His Love endures forever. Psalm 136:1🌿
Who did the music on this video? Can it be purchased?
Excellent testimony..thank you ❣️

Can you imagine Satan was throwing drugs out of a plane⁉️Lord have MERCY. Jesus Saves❣️chills and tears 😭
Please send another Jesus Revolution Lord!!!!!
Someone should make a movie about Lonnie’s life
There is such a great need for us to pray, seek God and be willing to reach out to our children, teens, 20-30's, to everyone who is being swept up in the lies and empty hope of being something, someone else, being caught up in the gender confusion and self hate, even sadly, self loathing that is such a lie from the pit of hell, and young kids are being targeted, being used toward what really they don't know about, and this is ultimately, Transhumanism. We need to show the love of Jesus to everyone, especially those who need to know they are made in the image of God and dearly loved. Not one of us is without sin, and we need to pray and ask Jesus to send the Holy Spirit to help all of us be light in the dark, be able to be used, not by our ability, power or might, but by the spirit of God, to come over every city, every nation and may we be a part of seeing God break through all the lies, deception, fear, for God to reveal his love and mercy through us and to everyone who is being deceived! I am not a leader or know how to do anything, especially not what is so needed right now, but I know I don't have to be, we just need to believe in our Lord Jesus who is the way truth and life, and ask for Jesus to send a fresh pouring out of the Holy Spirit to open people's eyes and ears, to convict and reveal Jesus and his love and life he's given so that we all can be forgiven, saved and made new people! Please pray with me, and let's believe that just as Jesus promised, he once again will send the Holy Spirit to fill us and lead us, use us to reach people now, for lives to be saved and made new, and God be glorified! For all the in our face evil going on today, we who have been saved, need to realize that out prayers and seeking God, to receive the power of God, through the Holy Spirit is greater, more powerful than the evil we have happening around us. Thank you for reading this all, and if you choose to pray with me, thank you, I just know God has been laying these things on my heart, and all I know to do right now is pray and have a heart for God to fill with the HS, and be available for his glory. ❤
What's missing from Lonnie's acid trip conversion is the reality that he was a sinner, repentance, and dedicating himself to Jesus. What I hear is God promises I will do great things.
Jesus came for the sinners not the righteous and i’m glad for that
Chuck Smith is a real piece of work. I looked up to him but seeing how he treated Lonnie I don’t now.
Remember that this film, compelling as it is, represents a very specific viewpoint. In fact, it's so compelling BECAUSE of its highly-focussed viewpoint.
@@CrownEntertainmentUS according to my research Chuck didn’t even pay him. They lived from a dumpster to eat. They also said that was fabricated about him sleeping with someone at Calvary Chapel.

There was many lonnys out There .
Special kind of charisma
When I came out in 1991 MCC was my only choice. I’m now very happy at the Episcopal church but it’s AMAZING that two of the most unwelcoming churches actually had a gay pastor help them grow. THIS is why we cannot allow selective history. Marsha Stevens is another influential person from the Jesus movement that they tried to erase.
I like the music 😊
All i Know is God used Him and Lionel was a willing vessel even though he had a weakness or torn in the flesh
I need the music in this documentary . Ive never heard it and its lovely . For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God . But I think that if you are a preacher living in sin , as Hebrews 13:17 states you are held more accountable .
What is the name of this song and artist at the 5 1/2 minute mark?
Homosexuality is a sin. Its called a sin in both Old and New Testaments. But as Christians we hate the sin , but we love the sinner. A person can be saved out of the sin of homosexuality, and never go back to it. Its called THE PRAYER OF REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS, a turning around with Gods help, to never go back to a particular sin, ever again. Thats the Jesus Christ of the Bible, truly healing sin sickness. But we are to never make sin right or normal or good. That is blasphemy. As Scripture says "Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil".
Not sure in what spirit you are saying all this in. But even the worst sinner can repent on their death bed and be forgiven.
Matthew 7:1-2
[1] “Judge not, that you be not judged. [2] For with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
We all sin and fall short of God’s glory. Even after being saved, we can mess up daily.
God called King David, "A man after His own heart." Yet he committed many sins.
God is a gracious God. Ready to forgive when we repent.
