  • The Hogmanay New Years Eve Celebrations in Edinburgh, Scotland are one of the greatest new years eve celebrations in the world. Experience the torchlight procession on December 30th, where 10,000 people and vikings march through the city streets with torches, ring in the new year on December 31st at a street party, dancing at a ceilidh, and partying at a concert in the Princes Street Gardens. Finally start your first day of the new year attending concerts across the city at the Scot:Lands Music Festival.

      +Wandering Wagars I would still like to do Times Square at least once. But I agree there is a lot more camaraderie at this celebration and the open liquor laws were nice lol.

    Hogmanay looks great fun!!!! Cant believe that we missed Hogmanay 2 years in a row :(
    We lived in Dublin, so easy to flight to Edinburgh...

    that looks like so much fun! What could possibly go wrong with a bunch of drunk people carrying around a flaming torch? haha. Gorgeous fireworks :) We'd love to celebrate Hogmanay in Scotland, thanks for sharing!

    I really hope I get to go to Hogmanay at least once in my life! And Scot:Lands sounds pretty cool - how exactly does the wheel work? You spin it and go to the location you're directed to, not knowing who is going to be playing there? That is actually pretty cool.

      +The Lost Lemurian Yep! Thats how it works. They give you a card after you spin with the name of the event and directions and the card tells you who is performing.
