Yes Joey has matured into a solid pilot. He had a few moments in the home depot 20 but was very inconsistent and unlucky. He may have suffered from joining the big leagues too early but we could see his potential. The Joey logano of today is like a new guy altogether. I think in time he will become even more consistent and he might be a regular title threat in the years ahead. The drama is nice when it's necessary but I find Newman makes a huge deal out of a little thing.

There is little doubt that Joey will win a championship before Newman does at this point.

Ryan's been in the sport for 8 more years than Joey and has gone winless since 2013. Joey's done absolutely nothing but get better and win more and more. So I watched from the race what exactly happened. Newman was up top and Logano was trying to pass him under while using the aero from Newmans car to get by. In Ryan Newman's second season in Nascar he won FOUR TIMES MORE RACES THAN JOEY LOGANO HAS WON IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. HE ALSO WON MORE THAN TWICE AS MANY POLES IN ONE SEASON THAN LOGANO HAS WON AN HIS ENTIRE CAREER.
Let me state this again in case this was difficult to understand. Ryan Newman in one year of racing accomplished FAR more than Logano has accomplished in his entire career.

You aren't understanding it right. Newman is mad for getting wrecked by a guy running out of talent. Like he said, it is Logano's job to control his car. He was even more mad because Newman was racing for the chase and Logano was far out of it AND this was the third time in the season Logano had wrecked him, which pretty much cost him the chase.
Newman races hard but hardly ever wrecks anyone. That is the epitome of what a Nascar driver should be.
So bassicaly logan is a good driver
1.Joey, just because you're involved in a wreck, doesn't mean they raced you hard.

This is probably the maddest I have ever seen a Nascar driver. You can hear it in Newman's voice and the look in his eyes. He would have beat the Hell out of Logano.
Harvick is a lot more aggressive than Newman in terms of being pissed off. Harvick has actually gotten into legit fights before.

Sure Logano has what, 3 wins under his belt? But in this situation, Newman had the sole right to be pissed, you know, getting wrecked 3 times in 6 races while trying to race for points while the little kid is just racing. You'd be pissed too. It has nothing to do with the better driver. Newman saw there was an audience around him and chose to make a production out of things in front of the cameras. Newman was fucking leading when the caution came out. Kurt was about 5 seconds behind before the intentional spin by Bowyer. Kurt only finished higher because his pit crew got him out first.
