Kate moss is JDs ex and he wasnt allowed to bring her up ( kate has shown alot of support towards jonny) but amber brought her up since she could
Now if jonnys team want they can bring kate moss into the trial to givw her testimony

@@EscapePlanMan Depp couldn’t use Kate Moss (his ex) as a witness until this moment. Because amber used her name , this making her envolved in the case, she can be brought up as a witness. For those asking for an explanation of the Kate Moss implications:
    1. Kate Moss was listed as a character witness for JD, but was barred from testifying, as past relationships are not deemed relevant to the case (restricted to just the parties; JD & AH).
    2. Because AH mentioned her, and raised the specter of JD pushing KM down stairs, JD’s team can now call Kate Moss to the stand as a rebuttal witness.
    3. Kate Moss is a JD supporter, and never reported any such incident…it’s a figment in AH’s mind.
    4. Kate Moss will likely testify that JD was NEVER abusive, violent to her or pushed her down the stairs.
    5. This may (albeit still to be determined) open up the line of questioning into AH’s past relationships - where she actually has an arrest record for DV - against her former wife/girlfriend, since she brought up one of JD’s past relationships.
Although we, the public, have greater access to this information, the jury DOES NOT, as some of this info is barred as being either prejudicial or not relevant “to the parties”.
So….in essence, Amber’s flamboyant manner of describing incidents just BACKFIRED, BIG time. And she knows it. I consider it just another self-inflicted injury….like ALL of this nonsense. She could have just walked away with $7Million - after 15 months of marriage mind you, with her public reputation intact. But AH wasn’t satisfied with just that, and she wanted to destroy JD. She will pay dearly for her greed and foolishness. Johnny has already won.

      @SineN0mine3 Před 2 lety +280

She hasn't been accused by the court of commiting an assault or spousal abuse. She is on trial for defamation, so the evidence should pertain to that. If Heard's previous partners had a history suing her for defamatory remarks, that might be different. Being guilty of one crimes might make you more likely to commit another, but it doesn't mean you did it.
Neither party's exes can be considered unbiased witnesses in a case like this, they could potentially have a bias for or against their ex depending on the relationship, but that might not be indicative of the party's previous behaviour.
Obviously we don't want to protect people too much, to the extent that we let every guilty party off the hook, but we try to limit legal ramifications to what can be proved to the courts using the best evidence available.
Exes might be one option for getting a character statement from a witness, but they're going to be pretty low on the list of importance compared to anybody who actually spent time with the couple during the course of events.
You might argue that their staff are biased since they are being paid by the prosecution, but at least in this case they are among the few witnesses who are able to testify first hand as to what kind of relationship they actually had.

I love how Heards lawyers objected on calling Moss as a witness, for not being relevant in the case, which is true, UNTIL she suggested Johnny flung Kate downstairs, I've a new found respect for Kate, she was class & unlike Heard, was 100% believable, as she respected the process & answered the person who was addressing her. That creepy looking at the jury on EVERY time she speaks & her failure to just say yes or no, has imo led to at least 50% of her loss which is inevitable. & the way they have conducted themselves? Objecting to an answer from their question to their own witness, not briefing her on just to say yes & no as often as possible, instead of elaborating, it was her failure to simple answers that fkd her. There was no need to go into the kate moss issue . But she can't help herself from elaborating, typical brat. That legal team are a complete joke. Such incompetence.

And it is so obvious when she makes a statement and then pauses and looks at the jury to gauge their response, she needs to go back to acting school and work on her facial expressions and body language because she could not pass a polygraph even if she was telling the truth

I think AH’s lawyers did tell her to stick to yes
o answers. The looks on their faces were stoic, as if to say….well, we tried…. But, as is often the case with narcissistic people, she felt she knew better and basically ran her own defense. She also felt that her acting chops are better than they really are. This was her case to lose and she did it spectacularly.

The most important question that needs to be asked here is why would Johnny want to wreck his entire career by beating on his wife knowing the public would find out.
She said she wanted nothing of the 7.3 million dollars from the divorce and she was going to give it to charity but she has not given it to charity until this day

@@jbg1127 She went on television and actually said that she did give the money.
The divorce settlement was clear and stated that she was going to donate the money by a specific date. She agreed to the terms.
She even had Johnny pay her taxes. He did so on condition of her donating the money. If she doesn’t donate it by the deadline, it’s fraud.
If she wrote it on her taxes, that’s a felony.
