    They say data is king and whoever "they" may be, they're not wrong. Being able to log, playback and then examine the data from your ECU makes fine-tuning your car so much easier!
    You can easily spot problems, anomalies or areas that may need improving, you can compare the before and after logs to see how the changes you've made affect the performance of your engine - and that's just scratching the surface! in this video our resident tuning guru shows you the basics of data logging and sets you off on your own data logging journey. Enjoy!

    Absolutely love how intuitive the Haltech system is. Never having any experience with the software, it looks like I know how to navigate it without a huge headache. Can't say that for much else!

      It is super easy, although I do wish they had more details explanations of every feature and exactly how it affects the tune.

    Well todays job was to sit down and do some research and get the hang of how the datalog style tuning works (previously just road tuning with knock ears) and then bam, Haltech puts out a great video on it. Time to tune!

      Haltech I'm sure someone out there is still using a VCR, they were everywhere in the 90's and into the 2000's. I remember ditching most of my tapes in about 2006.

    How do you fellas feel about the Torque app via bluetooth for data logging duties?
    Someone told me it manipulates data, and rounds numbers off for smoothing, so it's not useful. *shrug*

    Is there a limit to how much can be logged to the laptop and does it log all pages you've got setup? I have an issue where my engine barely idles with logging to laptop enabled on my elite 1500 and as soon as I stop logging it comes good. Was wondering if the ECU is struggling with how much data is being logged?

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 4 lety

      When logging directly to your laptop - your laptop's specs are the limiting factor ie your hdd space. If you keep having trouble contact our tech support, one of the guys will be able to help you out:) support@haltech.com

  • @kurtiscal3msetccdwell618

    When a sensor sends a binary signal to an ecu in reference to it's system condition I understand before that reference comes an address in binary to tell the ecu which sensor is sending that data. So if say a sensor's address is 1101 and it is sending a signal of 0011 volts does it look like this 1101 0011 1101 0011 1101 0011 1101 0011? Or does he sensor just send the voltage signal of 0011? If it only sends the voltage signal how does the ecu know which sensor is sending it that data if it does not also send it's address data?

    • @haltech
      @haltech  Před 4 lety +2

      EFI live is a flash system for factory ECUs - Haltech is a stand-alone aftermarket ECU so yes, both are quite different.
